She squinted her eyes, trying to get a clearer look at the person opposite her.
At this ti, from a dark corner of the warehouse, the silhouette of a woman erged.
When she appeared in front of Belinda Howard, seeing her brought here, Audrey Jenkins couldn’t help but curl her lips into a sinister smirk.
Belinda Howard lifted her gaze, and as she made out the person before her, her entire being was stunned.
Audrey Jenkins?
"Audrey..."
Seeing her shocked expression, Audrey Jenkins let out a cold laugh, "Didn’t expect this, did you?"
Belinda Howard was dumbfounded; she truly hadn’t expected her to appear here.
"You... How are you even here?"
Audrey Jenkins sneered, her voice dripping with mockery. It was unclear whether Belinda was genuinely ignorant or simply playing dumb.
Why would she be here? Any perceptive person could instantly tell—Audrey had been the one to bring her here.
"Belinda Howard, are you truly clueless, or are you pretending not to know?" she scoffed.
Belinda Howard froze.
After staring at her for several seconds, she finally asked in disbelief, "Was it you who brought here?"
"Ha! At least you’re not entirely brainless!"
...
Staring at her, Belinda Howard’s expression was filled with incredulity.
It was really her? But why? Why would she go to such lengths to bring her here?
"Why... why would you do this?" she asked, her voice tinged with confusion.
Audrey Jenkins snorted with derision.
In just a few days, she had plumted from the heights into hell itself. All of it—every disaster—could be attributed to Belinda. And now she dared to ask why this was happening? How utterly laughable!
"You’re actually asking why?" Audrey Jenkins gazed at her, a frigid smirk curling her lips, though an ache lingered in her eyes.
These past days, nobody knew the extent of her anguish. From being a celebrity renowned throughout Asia, she had been utterly blacklisted overnight, left with almost nothing!
Belinda Howard stared at her, utterly stunned.
"Do you have any idea how I’ve lived these days?"
Those words made Belinda Howard narrow her eyes slightly.
She was well aware that being blacklisted must have brought imnse pain, but did that have anything to do with her? Was Audrey simply lumping all her miseries onto her shoulders?
"What exactly do you want to say?" Belinda Howard looked at her, her tone growing colder.
Audrey wasn’t like this before. When had she turned into soone so unreasonable?
"What I want to say?" Audrey Jenkins let out another mocking laugh, "Ha, ha, I don’t want to say anything—I just want to vent my frustrations."
As she spoke those words, the smile on Audrey Jenkins’s face abruptly disappeared, replaced by an icy, oppressive grimness.
Seeing the chilling expression erging on her face, Belinda Howard froze, "Just what are you planning?"
Audrey Jenkins chuckled, "Nothing much. I simply want you to understand: if I can’t have it, then neither can you. And everything I’ve suffered... Today, you’ll endure it all as well."
Her voice was piercingly cold, sending shivers down Belinda’s spine.
"Audrey, how did you beco like this..." Belinda looked at her, her heart aching as she spoke.
When she first t her, Audrey was such a simple and pure girl, completely devoid of ulterior motives. How had she beco this person standing before her?
Her words made Audrey Jenkins laugh bitterly. She turned her gaze to Belinda and retorted, "How did I beco like this? Belinda Howard, do you have the audacity to ask that? The reason I beca like this—isn’t it all because of you!?"
"If not for you, I wouldn’t have been drugged and assaulted by that Money Boss Morgan. If not for you, Anthony Chambers wouldn’t have blacklisted . Do you even comprehend how hard I worked to get to where I am today? That was my dream! If not for you, would my dream ever have been shattered?!"
