Listening to Mother’s words, Belinda Howard didn’t respond, her gaze remaining fixed on the newspaper.
In her mind, Fenton Stuart’s words from yesterday suddenly resurfaced.
Could it be that Brother Luke used his influence to completely suppress Audrey Jenkins?
Though she knew what Wendis Wilnese had done to her, thinking about her as a victim, now completely blocked, Belinda Howard felt a hint of pity for her.
But even so, she still didn’t want to concern herself too much.
Turning around, she walked into the Restaurant, ate a bowl of white rice porridge and a pumpkin pancake, then drove to the Company.
When she arrived, the Office was buzzing with discussions about Audrey Jenkins. So of her loyal fans were expressing outrage, confused about why she had been inexplicably blacklisted!
"Belinda Howard, take this Docunt to the Penthouse Office."
Just as Belinda Howard fell into thought, her leader’s voice suddenly rang by her ear.
At the sound, she raised her head and saw the Mister holding out a Docunt in front of her.
She furrowed her brows slightly, confused, as she looked at her leader.
Him asking her again? Shouldn’t he personally deliver it? Since when could a low-level employee like herself directly go to the Top Floor?
"Weren’t these docunts always personally handed to the CEO by you?" Belinda Howard frowned, staring at the leader in confusion.
The leader frowned too, squinting at Belinda Howard in front of him.
Indeed, Belinda Howard was just a junior staffer. Delivering docunts didn’t require her to go directly to the rooftop office. Yet, oddly enough, their CEO had specifically nad her and insisted that from now on, every single Docunt from the Design Departnt must be personally delivered by her!
"The CEO instructed that every Docunt from now on must be delivered by you personally," the leader raised an eyebrow and said, turning away, with thoughts swirling in his mind—could there be sothing unusual between Belinda Howard and the CEO?
Looking at the Docunt in front of her, Belinda Howard hesitated for a little while, but ultimately rose reluctantly and headed to the Top Floor.
She knocked on the door, entered the Office, placed the Docunt on his office desk, and was just about to turn and leave. From entering until now, she hadn’t even glanced at Fenton Stuart.
"Your Docunt."
As soon as she finished speaking, she turned and left.
Maybe it was so subconscious anticipation, but hearing no sound from him, Belinda Howard’s steps involuntarily slowed down.
Since he had deliberately asked her to deliver the Docunt upstairs, why was he completely silent?
Her line of sight darted around uncertainly for a few seconds. Unable to rein in her curiosity, Belinda Howard finally turned around for a quick glance. As she turned, she saw Fenton Stuart at his office desk, his expression seemingly unpleasant.
Her face froze, and she stood there blankly in place. After a long ti, she finally spoke, "You... are you okay?"
Fenton Stuart raised his gaze to look at her. Without a word, he composed himself for a while before speaking slowly, "It’s nothing."
Belinda Howard stared at him in confusion. After a brief glance, she decided there was no need to ask further and turned to leave.
After a few steps, as if suddenly rembering sothing, she halted, turned back to look at the Man at the office desk, and asked, "That matter about Audrey Jenkins—was it you?"
Fenton Stuart raised his gaze slightly, speaking coldly, "She brought this upon herself."
Belinda Howard paused. Deep in her heart, perhaps she still harbored so pity for Audrey Jenkins.
After all, becoming a celebrity was her lifelong dream. After finally achieving success, being blacklisted must have been extrely painful for her.
