Chapter 1382: Chapter 1382: Don’t Want to Dwell on the Past
Having said that, Mrs. Pearce turned her head with complete disdain.
“Is that really the case? Initially, whether Isabelle Wood ever did such a thing, I think people all around the world might not be clear, but Mrs. Pearce, you must be clearer about it than anyone else, right?”
Camila Walker looked at Mrs. Pearce with a smile, her tone gentle.
All she wanted was for Isabelle Wood and Jose Pearce to return to the past, to the ti that belonged to them.
And she finally understood that the reason Isabelle Wood initially hated her and Jose Pearce being close was entirely because she loved this man deeply.
If she were in her place, knowing that Clayton Howard had a fiancee, her heart would also not feel good, just like how she initially liked Baron Stuart, and what she did to Emily Walker was based on the sa reasoning.
However, she was much stronger back than Isabelle Wood is now!
Why has she beco so weak now?
Wanting to protect the man she loves, she seemingly can’t be so weak; what’s hers, she must never easily relinquish to others!
Hearing this, Mrs. Pearce couldn’t help but turn her head in surprise, feeling sowhat guilty about the events of six months ago.
Because she despised Isabelle Wood’s background, she had indeed resorted to so manipulations behind her son’s back, and if it were to co out now, how would she face her son?
“What do you an by that?” She frowned slightly, looking at Camila Walker with displeasure, while a trace of unease appeared on her face.
On the hospital bed, Jose Pearce frowned, seeming to catch onto sothing from Camila Walker’s words.
With his brows slightly furrowed, he looked at his mother and Camila Walker, “What are you talking about?”
Mrs. Pearce turned her head; at this mont, she was most afraid of her son speaking!
“Nothing,” she quickly tried to cover up.
Jose Pearce’s frown deepened, obviously not convinced, and he turned his line of sight to Camila Walker, asking her with his gaze.
eting his questioning gaze, Camila Walker knew that a good man like Jose Pearce truly deserved to be with a woman who loved him deeply and whom he loved in return.
“Jose Pearce, if initially Isabelle Wood had not done that thing, would you have left her?”
ntioning Isabelle Wood, the look on Jose Pearce’s face seed to worsen a bit, as he looked down, seeming sowhat reluctant to answer the question.
“I don’t want to dwell on the past,” he said softly after a few seconds of silence.
“But she is dwelling on it,” Camila Walker said firmly, looking at him.
Jose Pearce lifted his gaze, his brow slightly furrowed, “What exactly are you trying to say?”
“Isabelle Wood, she’s been dwelling on why you suddenly left her six months ago. She has looked for you many tis, yet you refused to see her. So many tis, she wanted to ask you in person why you broke up with her, but you, you didn’t even give her that one minute chance.”
Camila Walker couldn’t help but feel so pity for Isabelle Wood in her heart; she was even more pathetic than herself. Clayton had made a marriage contract with Nina Adams because he didn’t rember her, but Isabelle Wood was inexplicably abandoned by the man she deeply loved without any clue.
Listening to her, Jose Pearce seed even more puzzled.
What exactly did she an by saying that?
Six months ago, had Isabelle Wood really sought him out many tis? Why did he not know about it at all?
“Where did you hear all this from?” He frowned, looking at Camila Walker with confusion.
Considering Mrs. Pearce was still present, and to avoid Isabelle Wood being subjected to any more of her mother’s censure, Camila Walker simply smiled faintly.
