Seeing her, Leon Hayden was sowhat surprised.
“You, have you been busy recently?”
Looking at the woman in front of him, Leon Hayden’s brow furrowed, “It’s so late, why have you co?”
“I, I’m worried about you, you haven’t co ho for several days,” Nina said, her expression filled with concern.
“Is there sothing wrong?” In response to her concerns, Leon Hayden appeared very indifferent.
Thinking about him staying with Camila Walker every night, Nina felt very upset but was powerless, temporarily suppressing her jealousy and pretending to be oblivious.
“It’s nothing special, it’s just…” she pursed her lips, then continued, “The engagent banquet is about to be held, there’s so much I still don’t understand, so, I wanted to ask you about the invitations—”
“Oh right, I forgot to tell you, our wedding date has been postponed, as for the engagent banquet, I will hold a press conference tomorrow to announce it,” Leon said, cutting her off before she could finish.
His sudden decision stunned Nina completely, leaving her standing there, staring blankly at him.
After a half a mont, she regained her composure, her eyes filled with disbelief.
“Leon, what, what are you saying?” Postpone the wedding date? Hold a press conference tomorrow? Why?
She had been looking forward to this engagent banquet for so long, and it was almost upon them, yet he was telling her it was postponed?
“If you’ve heard clearly, I don’t want to repeat myself, it’s late, you should go back now.” He had already made the decision a while ago but had been too busy with work to discuss it with her earlier.
Having said that, Leon Hayden stopped paying attention to Nina and turned back to the specially arranged Rest Room.
Watching him enter, Nina beca a bit frantic and rushed over, grabbing Leon Hayden’s arm, “Leon, what did you an just now? Why the postponent? Wasn’t the marriage already decided?”
Looking at the man before her, Nina’s eyes were filled with pain.
Leon Hayden turned around; seemingly impatient with her persistence. Of course, there was too much he couldn’t say out loud, and thus he couldn’t explain to her.
“You don’t need to know these things,” he finally said coldly.
But Nina was not willing to give up.
“Why don’t I need to know!? Have you forgotten? The marriage was a promise you made to Grandpa Harrison!” Until this mont, Nina couldn’t help but scream in heartache.
Unfortunately, this was exactly what Leon Hayden disliked the most.
“I’ve told you not to threaten using Grandpa,” his voice seed light but carried an unspoken pressure, causing Nina to flinch montarily.
Feeling his icy gaze, Nina’s hand gradually loosened from his arm, her expression despondent, “That’s not what I ant, Leon, I’m just afraid of losing you…”
“There’s nothing else, you should go back,” Leon Hayden ultimately said nothing further and turned his line of sight away from Nina.
Looking at his cold expression, what more could Nina say at this mont?
“What about you? Won’t you go back tonight?” Seeing that he seed to want to spend the night in the specially arranged room in the Office Interior, Nina’s mood slightly improved.
As long as he wasn’t going to the Private Villa, staying with Camila Walker, that was fine.
