Camila Walker looked up at the sound, and upon seeing Audrey Sawyer, felt a faint stirring in her heart.
Since the last ti she had been the target of Audrey’s covert taunts in the kitchen, this was the first ti they were speaking face-to-face.
Upon seeing her, all Camila could respond with was an indifferent, “Leave it here.”
Audrey Sawyer gave her a glance and then placed the docunt in her hands onto the office desk in front of her.
As soon as she put it down, whether intentional or not, she suddenly raised her hand to cover her mouth, making a very disgusted and uncomfortable expression.
Camila lifted her head, noticing sothing was off, and asked subconsciously, “What’s wrong with you?”
She wasn’t trying to be concerned for her but was prompted by Audrey’s behavior in the restaurant earlier that afternoon, and sothing Emily Walker had said—she suddenly wanted to understand what was going on with Audrey Sawyer.
Audrey lifted her head and looked at her.
She didn’t respond but maintained silence, giving off an air as if she didn’t want to share.
Without a word from Audrey, Camila didn’t continue to ask.
But just as she was about to lower her head and resu work, Audrey suddenly retched again.
“If you’re truly not feeling well, take so ti off and go see a doctor,” Camila said, looking up with a touch of indifference.
Whether it was a woman’s sixth sense or not, she felt that Audrey’s vomiting was quite unusual, coupled with the sentence Emily had previously uttered.
Normally, wouldn’t one dash out to the restroom under such circumstances? Yet, there she stood in front of her, acting as if she deliberately wanted her to notice.
This annoyed Camila a bit.
Then, Audrey lifted her right hand and pressed it against her chest, and with an air of superiority, she said with a slightly triumphant tone, “I saw the doctor, and he said this is normal. It will pass once I get through the third or fourth month.”
Camila’s eyes widened slightly, bewildered by her sudden proclamation.
Get through the third or fourth month? What did she an by that?
“It seems like you have sothing you want to tell ?”
Audrey Sawyer slightly raised her eyelid, pulling a cold smirk, “You’re thinking too much, I don’t have anything I want to say to you.”
Camila set down her fountain pen and looked steadily at Audrey, “Then why don’t you leave?”
“I’m waiting for your signature,” Audrey replied, as if it were a matter of course.
“I’ll personally hand the docunt to the director, you can go now,” Camila said, undisturbed by Audrey’s disdain. She wasn’t particularly concerned, as long as Audrey didn’t do anything detrintal to the company.
At those words, Audrey’s face darkened, her heart filled with reluctance.
She had hinted so clearly, could she really not see that she was pregnant?
But she couldn’t blurt it out herself; she had to let Camila sense it on her own, and then she just had to ambiguously acknowledge that the child was Big Brother Howard’s.
However, Camila seed utterly oblivious!
Unable to execute her sches, Audrey had no choice but to turn and leave.
And just at that mont, Camila suddenly called out to her.
