Faced with Adrian Lancaster’s hostile questions, Wren Sutton thought he had gone insane.

"You’re being completely unreasonable. What photo? What other man? I have no idea what you’re talking about."

Adrian Lancaster gripped her chin, his eyes as vicious as a wolf’s. His reason was shattered by rage, and his words beca cruel and reckless.

"You don’t understand, or you don’t dare to admit it? Wren Sutton, I never thought you’d be so shaless. Fooling around with another man behind my back, cheating on ... You must have a death wish."

Wren Sutton’s eyes widened in uncontrollable rage. She desperately wanted to slap him across the face.

"Are you insane? Every word out of your mouth is more ridiculous than the last. I have never once cheated on you in our entire marriage. You’re the one who’s a married man, yet you’re still carrying on an improper relationship with Maya Marshall."

"All these years, including today, I haven’t done a single thing to wrong you or the Lancaster family. You don’t have to like , but don’t you dare insult ."

As Wren spoke, her heart felt like it was bleeding. Her voice choked, and her eyes, rimd red with anger, began to glisten with unshed tears.

Adrian was still fuming, stubbornly clinging to his assumptions. He couldn’t hear a word she was saying.

’The more she denies it, the guiltier she looks. I’m not stupid enough to fall for her act.’

"Still denying it? Fine. Let’s see if you can still be so self-righteous after you see the photo and video."

With that, he pulled out his phone, found the picture, and thrust it in front of Wren’s face.

"Open your eyes and take a good look. Is that you in the photo or not?"

Wren glanced down and froze, stunned.

’Yes, that’s in the picture. It’s from when I went to The Ocean Grille to pick up Spencer Sawyer.’

’But who could have taken this and sent it to Adrian? The thought was terrifying.’

After a mont’s thought, realization dawned. Wren looked away from the phone in disbelief and stared at Adrian.

’Damn it!’

"You had soone follow ?"

Adrian wouldn’t sell out Maya Marshall, so he just stared coldly at Wren.

"So you admit it’s you."

With the evidence right in front of her, Wren steeled herself and told the truth. "Yes, that’s . But it’s not what you think."

Adrian ground his teeth. "Then who’s the man in the picture?"

Wren said nothing, afraid this madman would go after Spencer Sawyer.

Her silence was like pouring gasoline on a fire, only infuriating Adrian further.

To him, it was obvious Wren was protecting the other man.

The atmosphere turned ice-cold, sinking into a dangerous, deathly silence.

Soon, the Rolls-Royce pulled up in front of their villa.

Adrian roughly hauled Wren out of the car, carrying her.

Seeing this, the driver knew better than to say a word. He simply turned and discreetly left.

"Put down!"

Wren’s heart pounded in terror. She had a terrible feeling about what tonight would bring, and she struggled with all her might, punching and kicking.

Adrian pinned her down, suppressing the rage that threatened to erupt at any mont. "I’ll ask you one last ti: who is the man in the picture?"

"He’s an innocent man. Stop making these malicious assumptions. There is nothing between us. We have never crossed any lines."

Adrian’s expression was grim. He searched Wren’s face for any crack in her facade, but she looked so earnest, as if she were truly the one being wronged.

But he didn’t believe her.

"I gave you a chance to confess. You didn’t take it. So don’t bla for using other thods to find my answers."

Suddenly, Adrian slamd Wren against the bedroom wall.

Wren cried out, her body trembling. "What are you doing?"

"An inspection."

Wren’s heart plumted. Before she could resist, Adrian’s punishing kiss ca crashing down on her, his searing palm gripping her waist.

"Mmph, let go."

The more Wren struggled, the more savage his kisses beca, as if he were desperate to prove a point.

"I’ll know if another man has touched you when I’m done."

"You bastard," Wren seethed, furious and utterly humiliated.

Adrian forced her legs apart, his eyes bloodshot as he snarled, "That’s right, I’m a bastard. Isn’t a bastard like just what you like? Weren’t you the one who moved heaven and earth to marry four years ago?"

Wren’s eyes stung. ’Just how pathetically have I loved him all these years,’ she thought, ’for him to say sothing like that with such confidence?’

Tears finally broke free, streaming down her cheeks.

Adrian ignored them. His hot, heavy breath ghosted across her ear, his eyes burning with unconcealed desire.

He had held back long enough.

"Wren Sutton, you wanted to play husband and wife? Fine. I’ll give you what you want."
