Jamie was not in the mood to beat about the bush. Their thoughts were not on the sa channel.

Jamie could take action against the Corben family, but it was not worth it. Not only would it cost him a lot of money, but also waste ti.

"Mr. Corben, you don’t know yet that the woman Kenyon loved was once seriously ill. It’s impossible for her to give birth to a child for Kenyon."

Mr. Corben did not know about this, but he thought that Ellen was good-looking. Although she was a little older than Kenyon, he could accept her.

After all, no matter how old a woman was, it was fine as long as she could give birth to a child.

Ellen was not yet 30 years old, so she didn’t look like infertile. However, Jamie’s words made Mr. Corben give up on the idea.

Jamie continued, "You know Kenyon very well. He’s a very infatuated person. It’s impossible for Kenyon to have children with another woman and betray the person he likes."

Mr. Corben agreed that Jamie’s words were right. Kenyon was stubborn and couldn’t be changed at all.

Otherwise, Mr. Corben wouldn’t have used that tone to confront the McBride family. He really couldn’t think of any other way.

But if Ellen really couldn’t give birth, Mr. Corben would have to think about it carefully.

It seed that there was also a way that could be used.

Mr. Corben’s eyes were sharp. He looked at Jamie and said, "Mr. McBride, I can’t do it alone. I need your cooperation to invite Ms. Robbins back. What do you think?"

Knowing that Mr. Corben had made up his mind, Jamie stood up with relief and said, "Okay, Mr. Corben. There’s no need for us to be enemies. It’ll be better for us to cooperate in the future."

"Of course." Mr. Corben nodded.

However, Jamie had already excluded the Corben family from the list of partners.

He thought, "Mr. Corben was extrely sinister."

After walking out of the door, Jamie was wondering if he should tie Ellen up or take her back. Ellen was angry with him and she had bad intentions towards him.

Just as Jamie was thinking, his phone rang.

It was a call from the servants in the villa.

"Mr. McBride, Bobby has a fever. It seems to be very serious. He fainted." Kelly’s voice was very nervous.

When Jamie thought of the sickly boy, he felt that he was so fragile.

An ordinary cold or fever could make Bobby faint.

Kelly said hurriedly, "Dora who took care of Bobby kept crying. She knelt and asked to take them to the hospital. What should I do?"

Kelly didn’t dare to make a decision at will. She was just a servant who took care of Bobby’s daily life. There were bodyguards outside and they wouldn’t let Bobby run around.

If Dora hadn’t knelt down, Kelly wouldn’t have made this call.

Without thinking, Jamie said, "Call a family doctor. Wait a minute."

Jamie suddenly interrupted, "Give the phone to Dora and let her make a call. Hurry up!"

"Okay, Mr. McBride." Kelly didn’t know why Mr. McBride had suddenly changed his mind, but she could only do as she was told.

Kelly went upstairs and handed the phone to Dora who was taking care of Bobby, saying, "Mr. McBride asked you to make a phone call."

Dora did not understand and said excitedly, "Why hasn’t Mr. McBride sent soone to take us to the hospital yet? Bobby is so sick."

Kelly looked at Bobby’s flushed face and felt sorry, but unfortunately, she didn’t have the ability to help him.

"This is Mr. McBride’s order. I don’t know anything. Do you want to make a phone call?" Kelly asked.

"Yes." Dora gritted her teeth and took it.

Dora knew that Mr. McBride was forcing her to call Ms. Robbins. Dora had been telling Bobby to behave himself before. They couldn’t have any problems here, and they couldn’t let Ms. Robbins worry.

Unexpectedly, Bobby kept Dora’s words in mind. Even if he felt uncomfortable, he endured it and did not tell Dora until he fainted due to a high fever.

Dora was scared out of her wits. Regardless of what Jamie’s intentions were, she had to call Ellen.

The call was quickly picked up.

When Dora heard Ellen’s voice, she was so scared that she burst into tears. While crying, she said, "Ms. Robbins, Bobby..."

Ellen hurriedly stood up. "What’s wrong with Bobby?"

"Bobby has a high fever and is in a coma. No one sent us to the hospital."

Dora’s voice was intermittent, and her sobs were sotis loud and sotis low.

Ellen’s heart tightened.

After hanging up the phone, Kenyon noticed that there was sothing wrong with Ellen’s expression and asked, "Is there sothing wrong with Bobby?"

Ellen nodded. "Bobby has a fever."

Kenyon was about to pull out the infusion needle and said "I’ll go with you to have a look."

"Don’t!" Ellen stopped him from doing it and said, "Don’t move. Stay here and take good care of yourself. I’ll go and take a look."

She thought, "If Kenyon goes, I don’t know what Jamie will do. What if he is stimulated and delays Bobby’s treatnt?"

"Ken, don’t worry. I’m not afraid of Jamie now. I’ll fight him to the end." said Ellen.

She comforted Ken. "Your most important task is to recuperate so that we can find a lawyer together to file a lawsuit and get Bobby back."

Seeing Ellen’s anxiety, Kenyon knew that he would aggravate the conflict if he went there, so he said, "Then you should go and take care of Bobby first. I’ll wait for you here."

"Okay."

After Ellen went out, she got in the car arranged by Kenyon and went straight to the villa.

When Ellen arrived, the guards at the door seed to have known about her arrival and didn’t stop her from entering.

When she was about to go upstairs, she saw that Jamie was also standing at the stairs, as if he were waiting for her.

She was so angry that she couldn’t help slapping Jamie in the face.

"Jamie, are you still a man? How can you treat Bobby like this?"

Ellen was so angry that she raised her hand again. Jamie grabbed her hand and said with a sneer, "Are you willing to co back and stop being intimate with Kenyon?"

Jamie was being unreasonable. It was obvious that he didn’t want Ellen to see Bobby, but he put the bla on her instead.

Ellen was furious, but she was more worried about Bobby and didn’t want to be entangled with him.

"Let go of , Jamie. I’m taking Bobby to the hospital."

Jamie didn’t make things difficult for her. He loosened his grip and let Ellen go upstairs.

When Ellen pushed open the door, she saw Bobby lying on the bed with Dora by his side.

"Bobby."

Looking at Bobby, Ellen choked with sobs.

When Dora turned around and saw Ellen, she imdiately held her hand and said, "Miss Robbins, don’t worry. The temperature is dropping. The doctor just gave Bobby an injection to reduce his fever."

Only then did Ellen realize that Bobby’s forehead and armpits were covered with antipyretic pastes. He was asleep and looked much better.

"What’s going on?" Ellen asked.

She thought, "Didn’t Jamie forbid Bobby from seeing a doctor?"

Every ti Ellen heard that Bobby was sick, she couldn’t eat or sleep well.

Even though Ellen had been separated from Bobby for a long ti, and because of the knot in her heart, she didn’t dare to get close to Bobby.

But in fact, Ellen had been worried about Bobby. She was worried that she didn’t have enough ti to watch him grow up.

"It’s the doctor brought by Mr. McBride," said Dora.

Dora thought that Jamie wouldn’t allow it, but after she hung up the phone, Jamie asked the doctor to cure Bobby’s fever.

For so many years, Dora had accompanied Bobby to see doctors many tis, so she knew the doctor was very good at first glance.

With a few moves, the doctor found that there was sothing wrong with Bobby’s heart. Then, he gave Bobby an antipyretic injection and so antipyretic pastes.

After they left, the doctor said sothing to Jamie.

When Jamie ca in again, he looked serious. After glancing at Bobby, he went out again.

After listening to Dora’s words, Ellen understood that Jamie just wanted to force her to co back.

She thought, "What a despicable person!"

Just as Ellen had expected, even his own child was taken advantage of.

That was the reason why Ellen had been hiding Bobby. She didn’t allow Jamie to take advantage of Bobby.

Ellen’s heart was filled with hatred, but she could only stay by Bobby’s side and accompany him.

It was not until the evening that Bobby woke up for a while.

Seeing Ellen, Bobby suddenly reached out his little hand, looking a little aggrieved. He said in a hoarse voice, "Mom, hug..."

Ellen was stunned.

Bobby would act like a spoiled child in front of Kenyon, but he rarely acted like that and always acted like an adult in front of Ellen.

Ellen thought, "Perhaps Bobby lost his mind due to illness."

In the end, Ellen leaned over and hugged him. His small body was soft as he lay in Ellen’s embrace. He hugged Ellen very tightly, making her heart feel extrely warm.

It was this kind of dependence and intimacy that made Ellen willing to die for Bobby.

Bobby was taught very well by Kenyon. When Kenyon was not around, he seed to have replaced Kenyon’s role to warm her up.

Dora was delighted. Bobby also had a knot in his heart. He thought that Ellen didn’t like him, so he refused to get close to Ellen.

Ms. Robbins was a cold-hearted person. Although she was extrely worried about Bobby, she beca much colder as soon as they t, as if she were trying to restrain herself.

What Bobby didn’t know was that Ellen didn’t want him to rely on her too much. When she left one day, Bobby wouldn’t be too heartbroken.

Ellen could see the end of her life.

But there was still a long way for Bobby to go, and Ellen didn’t want to beco the pain in Bobby’s heart.

Dora fed Bobby so food, and then the doctor told her to pay more attention at night. A fever would recur, and it was very likely that Bobby would have a fever again at night.

Hearing this, Ellen stayed close to the bed.

Bobby was different from ordinary children. Every ti a child had a fever, it would increase their resistance. Because of his congenital heart disease, every ti Bobby had a fever, he was in danger.

Dora and the maid that Jamie had arranged were on shifts to take care of Bobby. Dora was exhausted from taking care of him in the first half of the night, so Ellen asked her to go to bed.

She sat on the lounge chair beside the bed, covered herself with a blanket, and looked at him.

The maid arranged by Jamie did a good job, but Bobby didn’t like her. After all she was a new nanny.

When Bobby was ill, he was more troubleso than usual. Other than Dora, he only wanted Ellen.

Sotis, he didn’t even want Ellen. He only wanted Dora.

Bobby’s temperature rose at night, and Ellen kept changing the towel for him and coaxing him to get up to drink water.

After a night of tossing and turning, Bobby’s fever finally subsided when dawn was about to break.

Ellen let out a long sigh. Her body couldn’t take it anymore. She leaned against the chair and fell asleep.

When Dora ca to change shifts, she was afraid that Ellen would feel uncomfortable sleeping on the chair, so she wanted to wake Ellen up and ask Ellen to rest in her bed.

Dora called out to Ms. Robbins, but Ellen didn’t respond.

Ellen was already in poor health. Now that she was tired, she slept very soundly.

Dora reached out her hand, wanting to wake Ellen up, but a big, thin hand reached out first.

Jamie walked past Dora and picked Ellen up with ease.

Dora said in surprise, "Mr. McBride."

However, she was stopped by Jamie’s sharp gaze.

Jamie said in a low voice, "It’s your responsibility to keep an eye on Bobby."

At that ti, if it weren’t for the fact that Bobby always cried at night, Jamie wouldn’t have kept Dora.

When Bobby was first picked up, Dora ca along as well. The mont Jamie appeared, Dora recognized him as Bobby’s biological father.

They were so alike.

Even their words and actions were very similar.

Since Bobby was a child, he had been reserved and didn’t like to talk much. He must have inherited Jamie’s genes.

Dora knew that she couldn’t stop Jamie. She had heard from Ms. Robbins that Bobby’s biological father was a man of ans and strong desire to control others.

Ellen asked Dora not to confront Jamie head-on if she really t him one day.

If Jamie insisted on taking Bobby away, just let him do it. He wouldn’t hurt Bobby, but he might hurt soone else.

Fortunately, Dora was smart at that ti. She took out a pile of dicine and said that Bobby was in poor health. Only she knew how to take the dicine, so she had to follow Bobby.

Only then did Jamie take her with Bobby.

Now that they were in the villa, Dora knew about Jamie through the people around him.

Although Jamie was very strict, as long as she didn’t provoke him or broke the rules, generally speaking, he would not make things difficult for them.

Now that Bobby had a fever, Dora did not dare to confront Jamie head-on. She obediently stepped aside and reminded him, "Mr. McBride, Ms. Robbins has stayed up all night and can’t be disturbed."

Dora gradually lowered her voice and did not dare to speak again under Jamie’s stern gaze.

Jamie said coldly, "Mind your own business. I’ll only say this once."

Dora watched helplessly as Jamie carried Ellen away. When they reached the door fra, Jamie raised his hand, fearing that Ellen’s head would hit the door fra.

Dora could only think positively and hope that Mr. McBride could treat Ellen well.

Jamie carried Ellen to his room and kicked the door open. After entering, he gently placed her on the big bed.

In an instant, Jamie’s arms beca empty.

He was actually a little greedy. Ellen had just obediently laid in his arms.

Ellen tilted her head and fell asleep. Her hair was scattered all over her face, covering her palm-sized face.

Ellen had a small cherry mouth, which was bright red and attractive.

Ellen was gorgeous, and even her lips were naturally bright red. She was delicate and beautiful.

Jamie lowered his body slightly and resisted the attraction in the end. He tucked her hair behind her ear with his fingers.

After looking at it for a long ti, Jamie thought to himself, "It would be great if Ellen could always be as obedient as when she was asleep."

It wasn’t until the sound of the door being closed that Ellen opened her eyes.
