"Why should I hide?"
Ellen laughed as if she had heard a good joke. "Jamie, tell , why should I hide?"
Jamie looked at her with a ferocious expression. He knew why, but he didn’t think he was wrong.
In his opinion, Ellen was his to begin with.
No matter how long it had been, Ellen should be his.
"If you hadn’t forced again and again, would I have to hide from you?" Ellen said, looking at Jamie firmly. "Tell , do you really want Bobby? Do you really think this is your son? Do you want him purely out of a father-son relationship? Or do you have other purposes?"
Jamie clenched his fists and said nothing. He had never disguised his purpose of keeping her here.
Ellen sneered. "You know very well that I won’t give up the custody of the child. I’ll collect evidence and sue you to the end!"
Jamie was so angry that he burst into laughter.
"Ellen, you’re overestimating yourself by trying to sue ."
Ellen smiled and said, "Life is a process of constant resistance. Jamie, Do you still rember the glory you created when you ca back? But now, can you still compare with that ti? This is my achievent!"
Jamie’s face turned pale. She was right. The McBride Group was no longer as glorious as it had been when he first ca back.
After being integrated twice by Ellen, the McBride Group had indeed fallen out of the top ten, so Jamie needed to be connected with the Hawkins family by marriage to regain its glory.
However, Jamie was still worth several billion dollars. It would be as easy as squashing an ant for him to get rid of Ellen.
Ellen read the ssage from his disdainful eyes and fearlessly said, "Even if you’re a hundred or a thousand tis stronger than now, I won’t be afraid of you."
Indeed, the child and mother were the most important people in his hands.
Ellen tried to get Bailee to go with her, but no matter what, Bailee refused to leave the sanatorium.
The sanatorium had beco a safe house for Bailee, who had lost consciousness.
Ellen had no choice but to face it head-on. So what if he failed again?
Anyway, she had nothing to lose.
She believed Kenyon was as determined as she was.
"I’m not having an affair with Ken. I’ve already agreed to his proposal. In my heart, I’ve long determined that he’s my husband."
After saying this, Ellen no longer stepped into the Oasis Apartnt. She would never want to co to this cage again.
"Clang!"
There was a dull thud.
With a livid face, Jamie threw out the lamp beside him.
The lamp hit the mirror-like TV wall, and with a crash, the lamp and TV were smashed into pieces.
After venting his anger, Jamie strode out of the ssy room.
In Jamie’s opinion, there was nothing he couldn’t grasp, and there was nobody he couldn’t control.
Ellen went out of the Oasis Apartnt and hailed a taxi as if she was fleeing for her life.
The driver sized her up and asked, "Miss, where are you going?"
"To New York-Presbyterian Hospital!" Ellen said.
The driver started the car and soon arrived at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
After getting out of the car, Ellen went straight to the ward Tessa had told her about last ti.
On the second floor, so people from the Corben family stood guard at the door of the ward, blocking Ellen from entering.
Ellen didn’t make things difficult for these guards. She shouted directly at the door of the ward, "Ken, ..."
Those guards were stunned. They didn’t expect her to do this.
They couldn’t let anyone disturb Kenyon.
Kenyon was currently engaged in a tug-of-war with the Corben family.
Kenyon didn’t agree with the treatnt offered by the Corben family.
It was not a matter of money, but the treatnt would last for a month. Kenyon could not leave at this ti anyway.
He knew that Ellen would definitely co looking for him.
The shouts outside the door made Kenyon, who had been in a daze, smile. He opened the door and walked toward Ellen. Although it would hurt when he walked, he tried his best to walk over so that Ellen would not worry.
Those from the Corben family, who were guarding the door, were trying to drag Ellen out of the ward.
"Stop shouting here, or I’ll beat you up!" A tall man said rudely.
Ellen wasn’t scared by him. She raised her head and said, "I won’t make things difficult for you. I’ll call him. If he’s willing to co out and see , it’s not your problem."
The tall man was obviously blind and stupid. He said in a rough voice, "Don’t talk nonsense with . Get away from here, or I’ll take action."
As he spoke, he raised his hand as if he was about to wave.
"Stop!"
Kenyon walked over from behind and said with authority, "Apologize to her."
