That day, Lance also lived in the dark.

Colton and Tanya had the most serious quarrel ever.

They said extrely harsh words to each other, though they looked decent and very rich.

Later, Colton hit Tanya. Lance helped Tanya but got punched by Colton.

Lance couldn’t stand that atmosphere, so he got into the car and asked the driver to drive south.

Lance didn’t know the destination, so the driver kept driving until Lance t Yvette, who was picking up the exercise book on the ground.

The driver didn’t see Yvette and almost hit her.

After getting out of the car, the driver scolded Yvette.

Yvette cried and apologized. Then she took the broken exercise book and the wet coat and stood on the roadside.

Only then did Lance see that Yvette was still barefoot. It was well below freezing, and even her pants were wet.

The driver was a little embarrassed after scolding Yvette as she was too pitiful.

The driver was anxious just now, afraid that if he didn’t teach Yvette a lesson, she would be in danger when she t another driver.

Yvette seed to feel Lance in the car looking at her.

She lowered her head and put on her shoes in embarrassnt.

Then Yvette bowed to the driver and prepared to leave.

Lance asked the driver to send her off, but Yvette waved her hand and said, "No, I’m wet. It will dirty your car."

Lance smiled. Looking at Yvette’s muddy face, he said, "You are very clean."

Yvette lowered her head again.

Lance asked, "Are you afraid that I’m a bad person?"

Yvette shook her head.

This was the first ti she had seen such a good-looking boy. Lance was handso and seed familiar to Yvette.

Yvette guessed that Lance was not a bad person.

At this ti, Phoebe’s neighbor happened to pass by and found Yvette, trying to take her ho.

Yvette was grateful and got on the neighbor’s tricycle.

Lance saw the broken exercise book and thought of Yvette crying very sadly.

For the first ti, Lance asked the driver to follow Yvette on a whim.

After seeing Yvette enter a residential building, Lance asked the driver to go to the bookstore in town.

He called the bookstore and roughly described the exercise book.

Lance took it over and looked at it. The price tag read 12 dollars.

He felt that it was very ironic.

So people cried for 12 dollars, while so rich people argued over trifles.

Lance returned to Yvette’s house.

Lance did not disturb her and placed the exercise book at the door.

This was just a little move in his life, but Lance did not know that he had saved a soul that was disappointed in life.

Yvette laughed, "You rember? However, later on, I thought that it was normal that you did not rember as I had a muddy face.

"When I opened the door in the morning and saw the exercise book, the first person I thought of was you. You said that I was very clean. That was the best praise I had ever heard.

"I wrote down the first several numbers of your license plate. Others told that it was from New York, a place I couldn’t reach.

"Later, I studied hard and went to college in New York. As a newcor, I could not keep up with the pace of a big city. I suffered a big blow and thought of giving up.

"At this ti, I saw the magazine’s interview with you on the screen in the square. The magazine called you a genius. At that mont, I wasn’t joyful after finding you. Instead, I felt inferior due to the difference in identity. I felt that I could not hold on at all.

"But at the end of the interview, you faced the cara and said firmly, ’Don’t be afraid of setbacks to pursue your dreams. Getting it over instead of getting defeated.’"

That sentence was like a silver lining to Yvette.

And Yvette found the courage to continue.

Because of the silver lining, Yvette beca better and better.

Yvette made her na due to those setbacks in her youth and beca useful to society.

She also gained from Lance’s kindness and beca a warm person.

Lance looked down, and his eyes turned red.

Strictly speaking, Lance did think that he had never been to Pittsburgh. He just stayed there that day and didn’t even know that place was Pittsburgh.

It was only a short half an hour of his life, but it left an indelible mark in Yvette’s heart.

At this mont, Lance felt very distressed.

Yvette had gone through many hardships to co to him.

But Lance pushed her away again and again because of misunderstandings.

He pulled Yvette into his arms and sobbed as he trembled, "Yve, I’m sorry to have you suffer a lot..."

Now Lance could understand why Marlon doted on Yvette so much.

Originally, Yvette was the younger daughter of the Lynn family, who should be born in the purple, but because she was lost when she was a child, Yvette suffered so much.

How could Lance not feel distressed?

"Lance, at that ti, you really saved . But later..."

Yvette sobbed and almost couldn’t continue. "You really hurt .

"I spent a lot of effort to be by your side, but because of Yazmin’s return, all my efforts were wasted."

Hearing this, Lance felt even more tortured.

He felt that he was unforgivable.

Yvette not only pointed out the mistakes of others but also admitted her own mistakes.

Since they wanted to be together, they must make it clear and be past all this.

"But I also made a wrong judgnt about the matter of Charlie. I really didn’t know that he was such a person. In college, he took good care of and other seniors. That’s why I lowered my guard on him.

"I know that he deliberately stirred up trouble and hurt you. The biggest problem between us is lack of good talk."

The intervention of Charlie indeed caused great trouble to Lance and Yvette’s relationship.

This was why it was difficult for Lance to get over it.

Now Yvette clearly told Lance that she liked him.

She always liked him, instead of soone else.

All this was a misunderstanding.

Lance suddenly hated himself so much. Why didn’t he ask Yvette clearly and choose to have her stay with him in a domineering manner?

Yvette now wanted to properly manage their relationship.

Since they both loved each other, why couldn’t they get together again?

Moreover, they still had Isabel, and she liked Lance very much.

Life was short, and Yvette didn’t want to suffer from separation again.

Yvette said sincerely, "I hope that we won’t hide anything from each other. If there is a misunderstanding, we must explain it in ti. No emotional abuse, and no diators. Let’s not anger each other, okay?"

Lance felt extrely tortured.

It was because Yvette was too kind.

Not only was she willing to let bygones be bygones and forgive Lance, but she was also willing to improve their relationship.

Yvette was such a pure person.

If she fell in love with Lance, she would work hard for this relationship.

How could Lance et such a kind person like her?

Since Lance had been silent all this ti, Yvette felt a little flustered.

Before Yvette could overthink it, Lance had lowered his head and kissed her forehead.

It was a simple kiss.

Lance said, "Yve, if I betray you again, I swear I will not have a good ending."
