Yvette began to prepare dinner again.
By the ti it was ready, it was almost 7 p.m.
She put the dishes on the thermostat-equipped table. The dishes should be able to be kept warm for an hour.
Yvette and Isabel sat at the table and waited for Lance to co back for dinner.
For a mont, she felt as if she had co to the past.
In the past, she had also waited at ho for that man to co back for dinner.
But now, they had a baby.
Ti passed by.
Isabel’s stomach is already growling.
She curled her lips and said, "Mommy, when exactly will Daddy co back?"
Yvette said, "I don’t know either. Wait a mont. Mommy will call and ask."
Yvette picked up his phone and called Lance.
But no one answered.
Yvette suddenly had a hunch that Lance would not co tonight.
But why?
Why didn’t he tell her that he wasn’t coming?
Isabel pouted, "Why didn’t Daddy pick up the phone?"
"Daddy might be busy. Let’s eat first." Yvette smiled and comforted her.
Isabel shook his head. "No, we’ll wait for Daddy to eat together. I want to share the food I like with Daddy."
Yvette couldn’t persuade Isabel, so she had to change the way. "Then how about drinking so shrimp soup first to warm your stomach?"
After a lot of persuasion, Isabel was finally willing to drink the soup first.
The child was basically full after a bowl of soup.
Isabel was still sitting there and waiting with Yvette, but after a while, she could barely keep her eyes open.
Normally, she would sleep at half past eight, but it was already nine.
Yvette asked Kamila to tuck Isabel in while she cleaned up the table.
She picked up a bone plate and it fell.
Yvette instantly squatted down and wanted to pick the fragnts up, but her finger was cut by a piece of sharp porcelain.
Blood ca out.
She looked at her finger and felt a dull pain in her heart. She felt so wronged that she wanted to cry.
She held back the tears and disposed of the fragnts.
She didn’t have any energy to deal with the rest of the dishes on the table.
So she just left them like that.
She wanted to wash up and sleep directly, but Ellen called to ask her out.
It was because of Bobby. Ellen wanted to ask Yvette about the situation, but it was inconvenient on the phone.
The two of them t at a café.
Yvette was a little surprised when she saw Ellen. "How co Jamie was willing to let you out?"
Ellen said vaguely, "I’m not a criminal. Why would he not let go?"
In fact, Jamie asked her to help him take a bath, then he agreed to let her go out at night.
Ellen was really worried about Bobby. So she had no choice but to agree to that rogue’s request.
Yvette was relieved and told Ellen everything that had happened in the Bronx.
"It’s all my fault that I didn’t think about it clearly. I just thought that the Bronx was more hidden, but I didn’t expect it to be so dangerous." Ellen was scared and said.
"It’s OK. Don’t worry. I’m fine and have made a contribution," Yvette said.
The local police said that they wanted to honor Yvette, but Yvette refused.
She didn’t like being too high-profile, and she didn’t think what she had done was a big deal.
Ellen transferred 160 thousand dollars into Yvette’s account and said, "Consider it the rent."
Ellen did not have to worry about Bobby being in Marlon’s house. Security and concealnt were all guaranteed.
Yvette imdiately picked up her phone and gave the money back to Ellen. "What are you talking about? My brother has so many houses, and they happen to be empty. It is good to have people living there."
Ellen insisted on giving Yvette the money but Yvette firmly refused it, so she had to give up.
Regarding Bobby’s identity, Yvette had guessed it herself. But Ellen told her.
But she didn’t want her friend to be too worried about Bobby, so she didn’t tell Yvette about Bobby’s illness.
After a while, Ellen changed the topic and asked, "How’s it going between you and Lance?"
"I don’t know either," Yvette said in a low voice with a stiff expression.
"What? Have you quarreled?"
"I don’t know." Yvette shook her head again.
She really didn’t know what was going on. Lance wouldn’t answer her calls nor would he reply to her ssages.
She even reviewed every sentence they said when they last t.
There was nothing unusual.
Yvette also didn’t know why Lance suddenly beca so cold.
She wondered if it was because she had forgotten their dinner last night.
But she thought it shouldn’t be.
She thought Lance was not such a stingy person.
Then was it that flirting with her was just a whim of his, and now he was not interested anymore?
Yvette couldn’t figure it out, and she felt her heart heavy, making her really uncomfortable.
Ellen could tell that Yvette was in a bad mood.
And after a mont of silence, she said, "If there is sothing you don’t understand about him, you should go ask him. Do you understand?"
She added, "If it is a misunderstanding, then you can solve it. If not, you can also know what he is thinking."
Yvette thought so.
She thought of asking Lance again.
After she and Ellen separated, she called Lance again, but there was still no answer.
She called Frankie again and the call was picked up. It was very noisy on Frankie’s side.
Frankie seed to have changed to a quieter place and said loudly, "Ms. Thiel, I’m sorry.
"Mr. Wolseley probably won’t go over tonight."
Yvette asked directly, "Where are you?"
Frankie was stunned. "What?"
"Frankie, please tell where Lance is. I have a few questions to ask him."
Frankie looked at the man’s handso face in the private room and his cold aura.
He sighed in his heart.
Then, he secretly made the decision.
He whispered, "Mr. Wolseley is now in Royal Club, VIP Room 3. Tell the receptionist your last na when you arrive. I’ll inform them in advance."
Yvette lowered her eyes and felt a little bitterness in her heart.
Lance didn’t pick up her call, nor did he reply to her ssages. Instead, he was drinking outside.
She couldn’t continue to lie to herself that he was busy.
He would have ti to reply to her no matter how busy he was.
Yvette didn’t like Lance’s ambiguous attitude.
She needed to hear him say it himself if he had been tired of her.
Yvette inford Kamila and went directly to the Royal Club.
When she arrived, she gave her last na to the receptionist and a waiter led her up.
In the VIP Room 3.
As soon as the waiter pushed the door open, Yvette heard the sound of won laughing inside.
