So cold.

Yvette felt as if she had fallen into an ice cave, and her entire body was trembling.

mories of the past flashed through her mind.

"This is the divorce agreent. Don’t ss around. Yazmin is in critical condition. Be good. Why are you so vicious? Don’t use such childish tricks..."

Those words were like knives stabbing into Yvette’s heart!

Her forehead was wet with sweat, and she curled up in pain.

Finally, in the light of the fire, she saw Lance holding another woman, and she cried out in despair.

"Lance, save ... save our child..."

All the painful mories flooded Yvette’s mind, and she was overwheld.

Yazmin took the opportunity.

The thin and long needle flashed with a sharp light and went straight to Yvette’s neck.

Lance’s dark eyes suddenly widened, and just as he was about to respond, he heard a scream.

"Ah!"

Yvette suddenly cried out in pain.

Lance’s heart trembled.

In just a second, the needle was only an inch away from Yvette’s neck...

Without any hesitation, Lance held the syringe.

It felt like he had been bitten by a mosquito.

The needle pierced into his palm...

Only one second.

His body suddenly went numb, stiff, and powerless.

Lance began to see things.

He shook his head violently, biting his tongue hard.

The bloody sll in his mouth made him sober up for a mont!

"Bang!"

Yazmin was kicked heavily onto the door by him.

She fainted before she could even make a sound.

Yvette’s hand was as cold as ice, her heart ached, and it was so painful...

Looking at her painful expression, Lance felt his heart being twisted by a knife, not knowing how to help her.

He could only hold her tightly, so hard that his knuckles turned white. He desperately wanted to pass his warmth to her.

"Yvette, Yvette..."

Lance’s eyes were scarlet. He really hoped he could transfer her pain to himself and block all bad things for her...

At this ti, a group of people ca in from outside.

There were ergency personnel and police officers.

After Yazmin was carried out, the ergency personnel ca over to put Yvette on a stretcher.

But Lance hugged her tightly, not letting go.

Everything around him seed to not exist in his eyes.

When a first aider approached, Lance suddenly beca furious and roared, "Don’t touch her!"

The first aider was frightened by his fierceness and did not dare to go forward for a mont. He could only comfort Lance in a low voice, "Sir, please don’t waste ti..."

"Get lost!"

Lance roared. The veins on his forehead bulged, and his body trembled slightly.

His mind was a ss. He was sotis dizzy and sotis sober.

Things that happened five years ago must not happen again!

No one was allowed to hurt Yvette...

No one!

"Lance!"

Peyton walked past the crowd and reached out to hold Lance’s shoulder tightly. Peyton’s eyes were deep as he said, "Give her to the doctor."

His friend’s words helped Lance slowly regain his composure.

Lance’s eyes were bloodshot as he choked, "Save her."

Lance, who had been proud and distant, actually shed tears of sadness as his eyes turned red.

"Please, save her..."

After Peyton recovered from his shock, he patted Lance on the shoulder and comforted him.

"Don’t worry."

Peyton realized Yvette had not suffered any external injuries. She was like this because of psychological trauma. As long as she was treated in ti, she would be fine.

On the other hand, Lance’s ntal state was worrying...

Lance followed Yvette into the ambulance.

After everyone in the room left, the police sealed off the scene for evidence.

Two syringes were found on the ground...

Frankie stayed at the scene to help with the treatnt. After submitting the surveillance footage, he was shocked to see the syringes.

What was inside the syringes?

At the door of a sick room, Lance asked a doctor about Yvette.

The doctor had just examined Yvette.

The doctor said, "It’s nothing serious. It’s just that her head was hit by a heavy object before, and there were so blood clots left. Her coma should be caused by the blood clots..."

"What? Her head was hit by a heavy object?" Lance’s heart trembled.

"Yes, it should have happened a few years ago. Although the blood clots weren’t big, they were in a dangerous place, so she hasn’t had surgery."

In a split second, Lance’s thin lips turned deathly pale.

The blood clots had been there for a few years...

Lance did not think Yvette had suffered in the Lynn family.

Lance knew Marlon doted on Yvette.

And Yvette looked like she was loved...

Then the only possibility was what had happened five years ago.

Her head injury must be from when her car had fallen into a river.

The intense pain in Lance’s chest made him breathless.

He didn’t dare to think about that incident.

He did not dare to think about what had happened to Yvette after her car fell into the river...

How desperate she must have been!

And at that mont, he had actually brushed past her.

Lance’s head was in so much pain that it felt like he had been struck by countless hamrs.

He reached out and covered his head, his body shaking uncontrollably.

The next second, a loud noise sounded.

Bang!

Lance’s tall and sturdy body fell to the ground!

"Mr. Wolseley!"

Frankie rushed over and looked at the doctor anxiously. "Quickly save Mr. Wolseley. He has been injected with sothing!"

In the surveillance footage that the police had asked for, at the last mont, Lance grabbed the syringe that was aid at Yvette.

...

Yvette slept for a whole day before waking up.

Her mind was clear.

Lance’s cruelty, and the death of her grandmother and child...

Everything replayed in Yvette’s mind.

It was like a tragic movie that kept playing in her head.

Yvette rembered everything!

She regained her mories, but it brought her even more pain...

Her tears fell uncontrollably.

Because of Lance, she lost a lot...

However, after she lost her mory, she was entangled with him again.

The universe really loved to ss with her!

At this ti, the door was pushed open, and Stephen ca in.

Noticing Yvette was awake, Stephen revealed a happy expression and said, "Yvette, you’re awake?"

Yvette nodded and slowly sat up.

"How are you feeling?" Stephen asked.

"I’m fine. Stephen, does Marlon know I’m in the hospital?"

Stephen shook his head. "I haven’t had the ti to inform him."

Stephen rushed over when he learned the news today.

Stephen had found Yvette asleep, so he had gotten soone to make soup, in case she would be hungry when she woke up.

"Can you not tell Marlon for now?"

Yvette pleaded, "I don’t want him to worry."

Although she did not know what Marlon was going to do this ti, she sensed he was in danger when she noticed he barely used his phone.

Yvette could not help Marlon solve the family dispute, but at least she could not drag him down.

Stephen realized Yvette was fine and nodded. "Okay, when he cos back, you can tell him yourself."

"How is my family?" Yvette asked again.

"I went to take a look. Kamila and Belle are both fine. Belle misses you. Why don’t I bring her to see you tomorrow?"

Yvette also really wanted to see Isabel.

But if Isabel ca to the hospital, she might bump into that man, so Yvette thought it wasn’t a good idea.

"I should be fine after a day of rest. Then I can go back and rest."

Yvette had not been hurt at all.

She should be able to leave the hospital tomorrow if nothing happened today.

Stephen agreed after thinking for a while.

He picked up the food box, gave it to Yvette, and handed her a fork.

Yvette was shy and thanked Stephen.

After eating, when Stephen cleaned up the table, he suddenly noticed a drawing on the cabinet beside the bed.

He picked up the paper and asked, "Yvette, did you draw this?"

Yvette nodded when she saw that Stephen was holding a picture she had drawn when she had just woken up.

"How do you know this pattern?"

Stephen asked seriously with a frown.
