“How should we prepare for dinner?”

I think I’ve made a mistake in my thinking. I ca without bringing any secretaries, thinking it was just a short business trip. Of course, there was no way I would be called anything other than “Secretary Kim” or “Secretary Baek” from Yoon Taeo’s mouth, but surprisingly, it wasn’t easy managing everything on my own.

“I’ll eat in the room.”

“I’ll prepare it.”

The real issue was that, as expected, I was still the only one who «N.o.v.e.l.i.g.h.t» could enter his room. Even when I was in Seoul, I had taken care of both his house and his company, but back then, at least if I wasn’t around, there were replacents. But here, I had to handle everything alone. I couldn’t let him notice my absence.

“Take a break for a mont.”

“Then I’ll....”

Between etings, I took a quick mont to run to his accommodation. With about an hour of free ti, I figured I could tidy up his room quickly. Hopefully, if Yoon Taeo didn’t seek out and could entertain himself for just an hour.

“Ha... What am I even doing?”

How is this man the team leader? Why is he doing everything alone without utilizing his subordinates? The thought of the secretaries, who must be comfortably watching over the office in Taeo’s absence, makes my blood boil. Next ti, I’ll make sure to bring everyone, no matter what it takes.

Before I could catch my breath, I stopped in front of Yoon Taeo’s room and noticed sothing strange. It couldn’t be. The door was wide open. While the resort was probably the safest place inside, on the other hand, it also had the weakest security. There was no separate bodyguard with him either. Maybe that’s why I felt a twinge of unease.

I carefully held my phone and stepped into the room. As I walked through the long hallway toward the living room, I didn’t notice anything unusual. No sounds either. But from the direction of Yoon Taeo’s room, I heard a small noise. It sounded like soone was humming a song. The closer I got to the source, the louder the humming beca.

“...What are you doing here...?”

“Huh? Hello, Secretary!”

The man changing Yoon Taeo’s bed sheets was soone both familiar and unfamiliar. Choi Hyunjin. As soon as I saw him, the tension I’d been holding onto lted away. But I couldn’t understand why he was here. And what was with that strange title?

“Didn’t you hear? You shouldn’t be entering this room casually.”

“Uh...? Why...?”

“Well...”

Is this what they call a scam? Choi Hyunjin, with his white shirt rolled up to his elbows, holding a dark gray duvet cover, looked at with wide eyes, his usual big eyes now twice as big. His face, so unfamiliar, felt like sothing from another dinsion. The contrast between the black blanket and his pale skin made it seem as though he was glowing by himself.

“Our CEO is a bit... sensitive. He doesn’t like anyone coming into his room.”

“...But this is the only room being used. I’m just tidying up the room....”

“Ah.”

That makes sense. What was the person in charge thinking when hiring the housekeeping staff? There aren’t even any guests.

“If you don’t need , I might get fired...”

His face, which was completely different from when he greeted earlier, turned into a pitiful expression, as if he had lost everything. Seeing Choi Hyunjin like that made uncomfortable as well. Knowing how Yoon Taeo feels about anyone entering his space, I should probably kick him out, but sohow, I wasn’t sure if it was necessary. It was Choi Hyunjin, after all. Maybe it wouldn’t hurt if he ca and went a bit.

“I’ll ask for a departnt transfer. I think the communication within the company was a bit unclear.”

But sohow, I didn’t want to do that. Even as I said those words, I couldn’t understand why I was saying them. After all, I should have been doing everything I could to create more opportunities for Choi Hyunjin and Yoon Taeo to interact.

“Ah... Okay. That’s fine. At least I won’t get fired, right? Right... Secretary?”

His gaze was full of hope, as though he was desperately seeking confirmation that I wouldn’t kick him out. His smile, which seed forced, was so different from the usual one on his face. Once I nodded, his smile returned to its usual place. He was a man who couldn’t hide his feelings.

“I’ll just finish up here, then.”

“I can do it if you want...”

“Still, how could you, Secretary?”

“...It’s fine, I’m used to it.”

How pathetic. When I gave Choi Hyunjin the cold shoulder earlier, now I was the one apologizing. I shouldn’t be acting like this, but here I was, starting to rearrange the bedding myself.

Without complaining, Choi Hyunjin helped with the sheet change, and to be honest, he seed even more skilled at it than I was.

“But the CEO’s taste is a bit... scary.”

“Ah, yeah... it is.”

“I was shocked. I thought I was in a funeral ho.”

As Choi Hyunjin tidied up, he shared his thoughts on the room. Now that I thought about it, he seed like a pretty reasonable person. Anyone who could have such a thought about this dark and gloomy interior, anyway.

“His face is really handso, though... It kind of suits him. A little cold, though...”

...Forget it. I couldn’t believe I was talking about Yoon Taeo like this. Just ntioning his na made blush. I think I’ve fallen too deep in love with him, much deeper than I originally thought.

“What is this?”

I was just finishing up the bed when I heard the voice of the man we had been talking about earlier from the door.

“Hello, hello!”

“What are you doing, Secretary Baek?”

Even though Choi Hyunjin greeted warmly, Yoon Taeo’s gaze was fixed on .

“I just ca to tidy up the room. How did you get here...?”

“I left sothing behind. But you’re still cleaning the room, Secretary Baek?”

It seed like he didn’t know. Well, that wasn’t surprising, since that was my intention. I wanted to handle everything quietly so he wouldn’t notice my absence.

“Over there?”

“Oh, there was a small mistake.”

I was worried that things might escalate, but I couldn’t lie to Taeo. I had to quickly explain the situation. After all, there was another person in his room, and he might not be happy about that. From what I saw, Choi Hyunjin liked Taeo, but his feelings were still hard to define.

“...I see.”

“I’ll have him transferred to another departnt soon.”

“No, just let him stay. There’s no need for that.”

The unexpected words ca out. Yoon Taeo, who usually only allowed “Secretary Kim” in his space, didn’t even hesitate to let Choi Hyunjin stay.

“...Really?”

“Don’t make say it twice.”

He had changed. The person who only ever let “Secretary Kim” into his space was now letting soone else in.
