She didn’t want to suffer, so she bit her lip and endured the pain. She knew it was useless to scream, as everyone around her was cold-hearted and indifferent. Crying would be in vain.
The only thing she could do was to shift her focus elsewhere. Who was the man talking to on the phone just now? And who was responsible for this punishnt?
Was it Bryan Hawkins? The man had been asking Carolline Ruiz if she knew him, and then he had told the other person that Matilda Ferguson was the mastermind behind the kidnapping.
So, she could believe that it was Bryan Hawkins who had ordered these people to treat her this way, right?
