Chapter 103: Chapter 103 Kidnapped (1)

Carolline Ruiz pushed open the door to the private room, and inside, a lively scene had already begun, with people singing and those with outgoing personalities even dancing rrily in the Grand Hall.

Carolline Ruiz was a bit stunned. How many people were attending this gathering? Mia Parker really went all out—it was like she’d single-handedly organized a mini Classmate eting.

After so trouble, Carolline Ruiz finally made her way to Mia Parker, who seed to be in the middle of a drinking ga with soone. Carolline couldn’t tell if Mia hadn’t noticed her arrival or was just too focused on finishing the ga.

“Carolline, you’re here! Have a drink!” Back when they were in school, class leader Ben Parker pushed a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice in front of Carolline Ruiz.

Carolline Ruiz was the only one who was personally greeted by Ben Parker upon arrival. Back then, everyone knew about Ben’s secret crush on Carolline, except for Carolline herself.

Mia Parker only found out about Ben’s crush after they graduated from senior 3, and she ntioned it to Carolline just once. Carolline didn’t think much of it and soon forgot about it. This ti, Mia and Ben had bumped into each other at the TV station. Thanks to Ben’s help, Mia had been able to secure an internship at the station quite smoothly. She never knew that Ben had studied dia and communications and had strong connections in the field.

Of course, that’s not to say that Mia’s family had no connections of their own, but with Ben’s help, she had a much easier ti getting the internship.

As a gesture of gratitude, Mia decided to treat Ben to dinner, and since he had already made plans with so classmates, it evolved into the current party.

When they decided to go to a club to sing after dinner, Mia thought of Carolline and figured she should invite her best friend to co and celebrate her good fortune with her.

“Thank you,” Carolline accepted the drink and sipped it. After waiting for another two minutes, Mia’s ga finally ca to an end. Mia picked up another glass of orange juice and drank half of it in one sip, as she was incredibly thirsty from all the shouting during the ga.

“Carolline, guess what? I have great news to share!” Mia leaned over to Carolline’s ear and whispered about her upcoming internship at the TV station. Carolline raised her glass—a toast with her soft drink, congratulating Mia.

“Mm-hmm, thank you in advance. Actually, I have to thank Ben for helping

this ti. If it weren’t for him, I’m not sure I would have had such smooth sailing. Carolline, you’re my best friend. Co on, help

toast Ben!” Mia nudged Carolline’s elbow while winking.

Carolline was baffled, as if Mia had developed a twitch. She really didn’t understand why Mia couldn’t toast Ben by herself and insisted on dragging her into it. But since Mia had asked her to do it, Carolline had no choice but to comply. She picked up her orange juice, “Class Leader Ben, I need to work tomorrow, so I’ll use orange juice to toast you instead.”

“You’re too polite,” Ben replied with a smile. It had been a long ti since he’d seen Carolline, and she had changed beyond his wildest imagination.

Everyone knew Ben had a crush on Carolline back in school, and back then, he knew she would definitely study dicine in the future. During senior 3, he originally planned to apply to a dical major so he could reunite with Carolline at university. However, his parents didn’t approve, and after he filled out his application, they sohow managed to retrieve it and made him fill it out again with a different choice.

Fortunately, he had now returned to G City and successfully secured an internship at the TV station. He planned to settle down in G City in the future, which his parents didn’t object to.

“Of course, Mia is my good friend, and I’m very grateful that you helped her,” Carolline continued politely. Mia Parker was just too shaless.
