As the family of three could not move into their newly renovated house, they decided to rent an apartnt for the ti being.

I’d advise you to exercise restraint. Otherwise, with that fiery temper of yours, no girl would be willing to marry into your household.”
Xie Xuning was observing Wu Cailan throughout the exchange as he stood behind Ye Tianxin, and the more he looked at her, the more familiar he found her to be.
“Madam, did you, by chance, work in the police station’s Household Registration Departnt in the past?”
Wu Cailan was stunned upon hearing Xie Xuning’s question, for she could not recognize him at all.
After all, it was difficult to recall the face of a person whom one had only t once.
“Yes,” Wu Cailan acknowledged swiftly.
Xie Xuning couldn’t help but reply gravely, “Then may I remind you of your response when I ca to seek you out in August 1988? You told that both Ye Linlang and her mother were dead!”
Xie Xuning’s words unlocked the trove of mories that were long forgotten by Wu Cailan.
Vivid mories of that very year flashed across Wu Cailan’s mind, and her face instantly darkened.

Besides, all that she needed to do was simply utter a line.
