Chapter 1216: Setting a Trap
Grandma Li did not notice that Li QIngcang’s eyes were wide open while she was talking excitedly on the phone.
He heard every word between Ying Yii and Grandma Li. He now knew the details of their sche. He had never expected his grandmother to collude with an outsider to trick him.
He was her grandson, not her enemy.
Was it necessary for her to resort to this?
Did Grandma Li realize what kind of girl Ying Yii would’ve been to agree to her plan?
Grandma Li then walked out of the room, beaming. As soon as she left, Li Qingcang called Jing Zhichen.
“Jing Zhichen, I want you to help find a man who has the sa built as . Bring him upstairs to .”
Jing Zhichen was downstairs at the banquet hall when Li Qingcang called. Perplexed at the weird request, he searched the banquet hall for Li Qingcang but could not see him.
“What are you up to? Now’s not the ti for tricks.”
“Shut up and just do as I say. I’ll text you the details. Just hurry up!”
Li Qingcang looked around the room. There was another room with a balcony about one ter away. He figured he would be able to jump across with ease.
Li Qingcang locked the room from inside before jumping over to the other room.
Ten minutes later, Jing Zhichen walked in with a man of similar height and stature as Li Qingcang.
“Qingcang, what are you trying to do? I’ve brought the guy here.”
Li QIngcang scrutinized the man and nodded. He would be a good substitute. He could not be bothered to know what kind of person the man was or what had he done in the past.
Since they tried to trick him, he would make them pay a hefty price for it.
He had to let them know that he would not be fooled so easily. That would teach them a lesson not to ss around with Li Qingcang.
“Climb into the room from here, and don’t forget to switch off all the lights. if a girl in a red dress cos in, just do whatever she wants. We’ll reward you handsoly once it’s over.”
The man nodded and climbed over as instructed.
Li Qingcang undid his tie. He said to Jing Zhichen, “I’m going to take a bath. Stand guard here for . Also, check out what’s happening outside.”
“All right.”
Jing Zhichen realized that judging from how solemn Li Qingcang looked, the matter had to be rather serious.
How could soone try to trick Li Qingcang?
Jing Zhichen opened the door slightly and started smoking a cigarette.
The custor service manager led Ying Yii to the room. She was standing outside, waiting in anticipation.
Jing Zhichen saw Ying Yii from a distance. He secretly mourned for her. She was the first person to ever attempt to trick Li QIngcang.
He admired her courage, though. It was comndable that she was attempting sothing so impossible.
Jing Zhichen greeted Ying Yii casually, “Ms. Ying, are you drunk?”
Ying Yii did have a few drinks earlier to muster the courage to carry out her task.
Her face was flushed red.
Ying Yii stopped in her tracks when she saw Jing Zhichen. “Mr. Jing, I want to go in and take a look at Grandma Li.”
Jing Zhichen raised his hand. “I wish you well.”
After saying that, he slamd the door shut.
Ying Yii felt a little strange as she stood outside the door.
Taking a deep breath, she knocked on the door.
Grandma Li said inside the room “Who is that?”
