Chapter 1213: Unwelco Guest at the Engagent Party
Ye Tianxin sternly looked at Li Qingcang.
She ant what she said earlier. To her, it was not necessary for the wedding to be grand as long as he was by her side.
“Darling, don’t you have any expectations for your ideal wedding?”
Ye Tianxin stretched out her hands and hugged Li Qingcang tightly. She rested her head on his chest and whispered, “Why do I need a grand wedding when I already have you?”
Xie Xuning and Li Hang had agreed on the engagent banquet. It would be held in 2 days.
They had booked a banquet hall in a prestigious clubhouse in the capital. All close relatives and friends of the Li and Xie families had been invited.
Ye Linlang took Ye Tianxin to Fu Yuzhu’s club to get themselves styled for the party in the morning.
Ye Tianxin was wearing a white dress similar to a wedding dress. It made her look demure and adorable.
“Our family has just reunited, and I haven’t spent enough ti with you. Why are you getting married so soon?”
Ye Linlang was reluctant to part with her only daughter. She had not given her enough love, and now she was getting married.
“Mom, don’t be sad. It’s not like this will take away from you. I’m just getting engaged!”
Ye Linlang rebuked Ye Tianxin. “What insolence! Don’t say such things!”
“Co on, Mom, I was only joking.” Te Tianxin stuck out her tongue playfully.
Ye Linlang looked very sternly at Ye Tianxin. “Tianxin, today is important for you. You can’t say such inauspicious things. Think about your father and mother; we have been separated for so many years. How do you think we feel? Appreciate your hard-earned relationship with Qingcang. I hope my baby girl will be happy from now on.”
Ye Tianxin’s eyes were full of tears. She lowered her head and whispered, “Okay, I know, Mom. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t talk nonsense.”
Ye Linlang also smiled, “Don’t cry, silly. It’s a happy occasion. You should be happy and smile today, right?”
Li Qingcang changed his clothes and stood beside Ye Tianxin. When the two stood together, they looked like a perfect match. Ye Tianxin was beautiful while Li Qingcang looked handso.
“Mom, Tianxin, it’s ti. Let’s go.”
Li Qingcang took out a coat for Ye Tianxin to wear.
The weather in the capital was very cold, but it was very warm indoors with central heating. The temperature difference would make anyone catch a cold easily.
When Ye Tianxin and Li Qingcang arrived in the hall, the first thing Ye Tianxin noticed was Ying Yii sitting next to Grandma Li at the main table.
Ying Yii’s eyelids fluttered when she saw Li Qingcang.
She was srized by how handso he looked.
Li Qingcang was wearing a suit which made him look very distinguished. He looked like a prince walking out of a fairy tale. His every gesture was charming and graceful.
Grandma Li had forced Ying Yii to sit at the main table with her. As the bride and groom, Li Qingcang and Ye Tianxin were also seated at the sa table.
As soon as Li Qingcang sat down, he looked at Ying Yii coldly.
Ying Yii looked like a kid who had done sothing wrong. She lowered her head, not daring to look at Li Qingcang in the eye.
Grandma Li asked Qingcang sharply when she caught him glaring at Ying Yii, “Qingcang what are you looking at?”
Ying Yii was wearing a red dress. He wondered if she had been staying too long overseas and did not know the customs back ho. It was offensive and disrespectful for a guest to wear red at a wedding banquet, let alone his engagent banquet with Ye Tianxin.
Who was she trying to make a fool of by wearing a red outfit?
“I’m looking at the girl who returned from aboard next to you. Has she gone stupid after studying overseas? How can she attend a wedding event wearing red? This is a matter of basic human decency.”
