Chapter 1168 He Tolerated Her Ti and Again
Li Qingcang stretched out his hand and brushed aside a strand of hair from Ye Tianxin’s face.
He took out so clothes from the drawer and handed them to Ye Tianxin to change.
“Do you want to go to the hot spring now?”
Ye Tianxin glanced at her watch. It was nearly 1 a.m. It was too late to go to the hot spring.
“Let’s go tomorrow. It’s late already.” “All right. I’ll bring you to the hot spring tomorrow. Sleep early tonight.”
The rehearsal for the New Year concert was very tiring. Ye Tianxin fell asleep almost imdiately after she had her bath.
Li Qingcang covered Ye Tianxin with a blanket. The heater was turned on and the room felt warm. Ye Tianxin’s face glowed under the moonlight from the window, looking pure like snow.
“Qingcang, don’t go.”
Ye Tianxin was muttering in her dreams. She grabbed hold of Li Qingcang’s wrist.
His world was full of warmth and peace.
She was dreaming about him.
Li Qingcang stood up and left the room quietly. He was a gentleman; he could not take advantage of Ye Tianxin on a night like this. He also did not want to test his self-control. She was like a flower who needed his love and protection. He could not hurt her.
Soone else was also wide awake that night.
Li Zhiwei sat up and looked out of the window. She needed sowhere to release her pent-up frustrations and anguish.
All those years, her world revolved around one person: Xie Xuning. Now that he was far out of her reach, she could no longer control herself.
Tears were streaming down her face. She forced herself to toughen up.
Why did all of this happen?
She had never ant to hurt anyone all her life.
Why was Heaven so cruel to her? All she wanted in life was Xie Xuning, yet she was denied that one thing.
Li Bai was dead, Qie Wang had divorced, and Xie Xuning and Ye Linlang were back together.
All of these seemingly unrelated events were connected to her.
Li Zhiwei took out a phone and dialed a familiar number.
Qie Wang was in the hospital room. He picked up the phone when it rang.
“Hello, Zhiwei.”
“Qie Wang, is Shanyue feeling better? Can I go and visit her tomorrow?”
Qie Wang took a glance at Yan Shanyue lying on the bed. He said in a low voice, “Zhiwei, it’s okay. You don’t have to co and see her. If there’s nothing else, I’ll hang up.”
Qie Wang could hear Li Zhiwei sobbing on the other hand of the phone. “Qie Wang, I’m sorry. It’s all my fault. If it wasn’t for , you wouldn’t have gotten a divorce. I have crossed the boundary of friendship. I have failed to think of Shanyue’s feelings all these years. Sorry, Qie Wang. I’ll do whatever you ask to in the future.”
“It’s all right, Zhiwei. It’s not your fault.” Qie Wang’s voice was soft and firm.
Qie Wang thought he would lose Yan Shanyue when she was sent to the ergency room.
He started thinking about those years when they were married.
He had done many things that hurt her in the past.
Whenever sothing happened at the sa ti to both Yan Shanyue and Li Zhiwei, he could only think of the latter. He was not clear about his stand as a man.
Li Zhiwei was not even his blood sister. Even if she was, he should have put his family first.
For the past 20 years, he had always given in to her.
