“Hello, Auntie.” Ye Tianxin greeted her politely.
“Mom, do we have any food at ho?” Li QIngcang asked Wu Tong.
“Do you think this is a restaurant where food is all prepared the minute you get ho?” Wu Tong walked into the kitchen as she chided him and opened the fridge. “There’s nothing in the fridge. Shall I ask the helper to cook sothing for you?”
“Never mind. It’s too late. I can cook so food myself.”
“All right, go ahead, but don’t sleep imdiately after your al. It’s not good for your digestive system. I’ll be off to bed now.”
Li Qingcang removed his coat and said to Ye Tianxin, “Tianxin, why don’t you go and watch so television in the living room. I’ll cook so noodles.”
“I don’t like to watch TV. Qingcang, I’ll help you in the kitchen.”
Ye Tianxin also took off her jacket. She placed both their coats on the couch in the living room. As she turned around to walk to the kitchen, she saw Li Qingcang preparing to cook. It was such an alluring sight that was enough to captivate Ye Tianxin.
“Qingcang, how can I help you?”
Li Qingcang was very adept in the kitchen. He could manage alone without any help. “Just stand here and watch.”
“Shall I help you beat the eggs?” Ye Tianxin broke the eggs into the bowl and started beating them with the chopsticks.
Wu Tong was at the stairway. She thought to herself wistfully as she heard their chattering. When will they get married? She hoped that Ye Tianxin would move in with them after their marriage. The house was empty as she was all alone most of the ti. Her silly son actually had good taste after all and brought ho such a lovable girl.
Li Qingcang was going to cook so noodles with tomatoes and eggs. He heated the pan and poured so oil into it. Next, he poured in the egg slowly. As they were starting to cook, he then added the chopped tomatoes. He fried all the ingredients together until the tomatoes were cooked into a sauce.
“Qingcang, why is it that you know everything? Is there anything that you don’t know?”
Li Qingcang blurted out, “I don’t know how to give birth.”
“Qingcang, do you like children?”
The smoke from the pan was rising, and Li Qingcang’s face was partially hidden by the mist. Ye Tianxin could not see his expression when he answered, “Yes, I do.”
She walked over to him and hugged him tightly. She rested her face on his back and looked blissful.
She was wondering if she would be as happy if she had t Li Qingcang in her past life.. She doubted so as the stupid girl in her past life was not worthy of him.
