Sumr Sutton remained in a deep sleep, never opening her eyes once she drifted off.
In her haze, she felt the person beside her seed sowhat restless, and she heard several sharp intakes of breath.
Sumr didn’t know exactly what was happening with the man beside her.
When she woke up the next day, her ntal state had improved significantly.
Watt Bennet was still in the room, looking like he hadn’t slept for one night, and his face looked sowhat fatigued.
His expression didn’t look very good, and there was a bit of pallor on his face.
Sumr only attributed it to his sleeplessness at the hospital and didn’t think further about it.
Her gaze swept towards his direction, and she quietly watched him.
She held a trace of expectation within her gaze.
After this incident, it was Watt Bennet who found her and stayed with her at the hospital for so long, even not leaving when she was asleep.
Saying he doesn’t have feelings for her, Sumr doesn’t believe it.
Sumr thought after experiencing this ordeal, he would have sothing to say to her.
But unexpectedly, Watt Bennet t her gaze, stared quietly at her for a while, then averted his eyes.
This action left Sumr stunned for a mont. The anger which had subsided after a sleep suddenly flared up again.
Retracting her gaze, she no longer looked at him. Sumr pulled herself out of bed and walked out of the hospital room.
Her steps weren’t fast, and as she walked, she kept an eye on the movents in the hospital room.
She thought Watt Bennet would chase after her and explain, but instead, the room remained silent after she left, and Watt Bennet’s figure never appeared.
The little hope Sumr had left seed like it evaporated into thin air.
She fiercely pinched a nearby branch and ran out of the hospital without looking back.
In the room, just after she left, a nurse’s exclamation rang out.
"Sir, are you alright? Where do you feel uncomfortable?"
"Sir! Sir!"
After that, the room descended into chaos, with the nurse’s cries followed closely by the sound of the doctor arriving.
Alexander Winslow received a call and drove frantically over within fifteen minutes.
...
After leaving the hospital, Sumr Sutton headed directly back to Morning Garden.
She had been gone for more than three days and didn’t know if Marshall Quinn had fed Unity for her.
Upon entering the house, she added cat food for Unity. Although Sumr didn’t want to think about Watt Bennet, she simply couldn’t control herself.
She really didn’t understand him.
He was trying to act as though he had nothing to do with her, but he never succeeded.
Sumr could see how much he cared for her.
When she was near death and saw him upon waking up, his expression was exactly the sa as Adrian Walyon when she had been injured before.
No one else besides Adrian Walyon had such a cold, killer stare.
He was clearly worried about her, just like Adrian before.
But if that’s the case, why doesn’t he acknowledge his identity?
Even though Lily Winslow admitted her mistake yesterday, Sumr doesn’t know if the Winslows will continue to insist that Watt Bennet be the Winslow family’s son-in-law.
Watt Bennet didn’t return with her, and Sumr’s heart couldn’t find peace.
"Darling, I’ve seen Dad these days, but he didn’t return with ..." Fingertips teasing Unity, Sumr began talking to it.
She felt an indescribable disappointnt in her heart.
Unity nestled its round head into her embrace, owing continuously as if trying to say sothing.
