"Why are you asking that?" Layla asked in a low voice.
"Well… I used to think kids were a pain in the arse. But I played with one yesterday for three hours, and ti passed quickly. So I was wondering if you want one," Leon replied.
SNIFF!
Leon heard Layla's sniffing, and when he looked at her face, he found her crying.
"Is that the tears of happiness?" Leon asked with a curious look on her face.
"No…" Layla answered while crying.
"So… you don't want a baby?"
"I do…"
"Then what happened?" Leon asked with a concerned look on his face. "Why are you crying?"
"We can't have a baby," Layla replied.
"Well, you are taking the pills I gave you, so obviously you won't," Leon scoffed lightly.
"I am not… taking them…"
"You are not?" Leon raised his brows in confusion and asked with a puzzled look on his face: "Then why can't we have a baby?"
"I can't…have a baby…" Layla asserted. "I can't get pregnant."
"How… do you know that?"
Leon was confused. He didn't know why Layla was crying, and he couldn't understand what Layla was talking about because she was answering vaguely.
"I went for the check-up. But I lied to you," Layla uttered. "I went to check if I can get pregnant or not, and the doctor told I can't."
"Why not?"
"She said my womb is ruptured." After saying that, Layla burst into tears.
"..." Leon frowned his face and asked, "Because of Ryan's torture?"
Layla shook her head and said, "It's a congenital disability."
"Oh…" Leon pondered for a while and said, "Don't worry. I know a woman who has a kid. I will bring the kid here."
Layla shook her head and said, "No."
"Uhh, so you want a newborn? Don't worry. I will steal one from the hospital," Leon asserted. "Do you want a girl or a boy?"
"You don't understand." Layla wiped her tears and said, "I want to have your baby. I want to give birth to our baby."
"..."
Leon watched Layla cry, but he didn't know how to comfort her or what to say to calm her down. After pondering for a few seconds, he uttered, "But we can still have sex."
Layla scoffed while crying and hugged Leon before saying, "You suck at consoling."
Layla cried for a while in Leon's arms and fell asleep.
When Layla had fallen asleep a few hours ago, Leon searched on the internet if it was possible to have a child with a birth defect.
Of course, the chances were close to none, but Leon still had a little hope.
However, he couldn't find any useless information. The only thing close to what he was looking for was a test-tube baby operation. In that, father and mother's sperm was taken and inserted into another woman's womb. So technically, the sperm donors would be the parents, and the woman who would give the birth would be considered as a second mother.
But Leon knew Layla wouldn't want that. He was genuinely angry because he couldn't fulfill Layla's birthday wish.
When Layla woke up, Leon was nowhere to be seen. She went downstairs to see Leon was cooking in the kitchen.
Surprised, Layla approached Leon from behind and asked, "What are you cooking?"
"Eggs…"
Layla furrowed her brows and sent Leon into the living room.
"I will cook sothing else," she said.
Leon turned on the television and watched the king's ga in the anti.
Once Layla had set the tir, she sat beside Leon and enjoyed the show.
After eating dinner, they had a lot of sex.
When the clock hit 9 PM, Leon asked Layla to get dressed in full black.
"Why?" Layla asked with a confused look on her face.
Leon smirked and asked, "Did you forget what date it is today?"
"It's 31st October, my birthday," Layla answered in a calm tone.
"And what else is on that day?"
Layla pondered for a while and answered, "Purge night is on 13h of every month. And one 31st of October…"
Leon knitted his brows and let Layla ponder for a while.
"Oh!" Layla exclaid and said, "It's Halloween!"
"Yes," Leon nodded.
"But… Why do you want to wear a black outfit?" Layla asked with a puzzled look on her face. "And besides, I don't' think I have a black dress."
"We are going to celebrate Halloween," Leon replied. He undressed Layla and carried her to his room after saying, "I will give you my tracksuit."
"What do you an we are going to celebrate Halloween?" Layla asked. "Are we too old for tricks and treats?" Layla laughed.
"Not that. We are going to celebrate adult's Halloween."
"What's that?"
Leon let out a deep sigh and uttered, "We are going on a killing spree, idiot.
"But… I don't want to kill anyone…" Layla uttered in a low voice.
Leon tossed his black clothes to Layla and said, "You cannot fool . I saw your playti in the zombie ga. You were playing non-stop without sleeping."
"..."
Leon knitted his brows at Layla and asked with a curious look on his face, "You can't resist the urge to kill, right?"
Layla was just like Leon, but unlike Leon, she wasn't superhuman. She also liked hurting and torturing people, but she knew that it was a bad thing to do. So instead, he killed people in gas and tried to subdue her urge to kill.
However, it was a permanent solution.
Leon wanted Layla to beco a killer like him.
"But…" Layla hugged herself and uttered while stuttering, 'Killing is bad."
"Halloween was made for people like us," Leon asserted. "So let go all out and let our monsters go loose. Let's spread the terror so they can know to fear us."
After pondering for a while, Layla wore the black outfit and said, "I will try my best."
Leon grinned at Layla and tossed her sothing from his bag.
Layla caught it and uttered, "This is…"
It was a mask with bunny ears and a creepy smile on it.
"Try it."
Layla wore the mask and covered her head with the hood.
"How do I look?" Layla asked curiously.
"Cute."
She looked creepy.

Author's Note- I was going to end volu 2 with this chapter, but I will do justice to Layla and let her kill so people. So the next chapter will be the last chapter of volu two!
