When Leon went to Ida's apartnt, he was wearing the sa hoodie he wore when he went insane.
However, when Leon reached his apartnt building, he noticed an unfamiliar car parked. Of course, he recognized that the car belonged to Liam at first glance. So, he took off his hoodie and burned it. Then, he buried the ashes in the ground and pissed on top of it to settle the ground level.
But now, he didn't have anything to wear, so he climbed to his apartnt from the balcony, entered his room, and grabbed a t-shirt. Then, he jumped down and walked up the stairs.
He did all that while Anna was talking with Liam.
Even Anna wasn't aware of that. When she ca into Leon's apartnt early in the morning, she was surprised to see he wasn't there. She assud he had gone off to kill so people as he hadn't killed anyone in a few days. She was happy that Leon had finally overco his depression.
Sure, he could have just worn a new hoodie instead of burning the old one, but when Leon saw Anna and Liam talking, he noticed a paper in Liam's hand. So Leon assud Liam had the search warrant, and Leon couldn't afford to leave any evidence behind.
The only thing Leon kept with him was the bag and his secret killer mask, which he hadn't taken with him when he went to Ida's apartnt.
Still, Leon always kept a lighter and a cutter knife with him for ergency situations. Or for when he suddenly had the urge to kill soone.
"What are you doing here?" Leon asked again.
Liam imdiately moved his hand to his gun but didn't pull it out.
"Loen… can I ask where you were four nights ago?" Liam asked while slowly pulling his gun out.
"I was in my apartnt," Leon replied.
"Do you have any proof that you were indeed in your apartnt?"
"No."
Liam raised his brows and asked, "So do you have any alibi?"
"I do—"
"Yes!" Anna quipped. "I was here with him."
Liam turned to Anna and stared at her for a while.
'Sothing is fishy. Why does she always co for Leon's rescue? And since when did they start dating?' Liam wondered.
'If they are truly dating themselves, then they both can be in this together. What if Ray Marriat's murder was also panned by these two?'
'Now that I think of it. When I first had Anna's phone tracked, it was in Leon's apartnt. Anna said she went to his apartnt to investigate Ray's death. But… I think all the loose ends are now filling up.'
'I can't think of any other possibilities. I might be wrong, but it's worth it…' Liam moved his hand to the watch on his wrist, so he could press the SOS button to call for a backup.
"What's wrong, Leon?" Anna acted. "You went to buy eggs and milk, right?"
"Ah, yes. But I forgot my wallet here," Leon responded.
Liam stopped after seeing their interaction. Their acting had beco so natural and perfect that no one could tell whether they were lying or telling the truth.
Leon walked to Liam and said, "So, what are you doing here?"
Liam grabbed Leon's hand and ripped the sleeve. He wanted to check the scar on Leon's hand.
"What are you doing?!" Leon yelled.
"I will give your money for this, but let —" Liam stopped on his words when he didn't spot any scar on Leon's right hand. But, he still didn't give up.
Liam ripped the sleeve off of Leon's left hand, only to see there was no scar either.
"..." Leon raised his brows and thought, 'He is trying to check the scar on my hand. Thankfully, all my scars healed with the help of Lita's serum.'
Liam was left speechless.
'There are no scars… so it wasn't him.' Liam sighed in relief for so reason and looked at Leon with a smile on his face.
'I was going to take his DNA sample and match it with the sperm we found in the girls' dead bodies. But if he doesn't have any scar in his hand, he can't be the killer.'
Only if Liam hadn't brushed off the possibility he could have caught Leon. He might have even found out that Leon was indeed his brother.
SIGH!
Liam took out his wallet and tried to give money to Leon, but Leon shrugged it off.
"If you truly feel bad for harassing us like this, then don't ever show your face again,' Leon remarked.
'Or I will kill you!'
Liam turned around and said, "Don't worry. I am going to take a long break now.'
"...."
'What happened to him? Why does he look like he got dumped or sothing?' Leon scoffed.
Leon didn't enter his apartnt until he saw Liam's car leaving the area.
After that, he looked at Anna and asked, "What are you doing here?"
"I was here to wake you up, but I guess…" Anna shrugged her shoulders and said, "We have our mid-terms starting today. So get ready."
Leon walked past Anna and said, "I am not going."
"What?! It is an important thing, you know? It can affect your—"
Leon entered his room after saying, "I don't care about the university. It's boring anyway."
"..."
Anna wanted to convince Leon, but she knew there was no point in doing that if he wasn't in the mood. So she went to the college alone and gave her exams.
After that, she returned to Leon's apartnt to cook food for him. But when she entered his apartnt, she saw Leon on the living room couch, with the sa dead expression on his face.
"..." Anna approached Leon and asked, "What's wrong?"
"The voices are back. They are not letting sleep. I can't think straight. I can't do anything," Leon said with a lifeless glare in his eyes.
Anna caressed Leon's face and looked into Leon's eyes. She rubbed her thumbs on his cheek and said, "I will cast a spell on you. With that, you will be back to normal."
