Wearing accessories was not allowed during filming, thus Shen Jingwei put away his ring before shooting began.
But this morning, he discovered that said ring no longer hung around his neck.
It was missing, along with the silver chain it ca with.
The tricky thing was that Shen Jingwei could not tell anyone about the ring, because then his secret relationship with Yan Renzhong would be known and probably would land one or both of them in troubles.
That being said, Shen Jingwei could only look for the ring himself.
And he couldn’t even do that right away because he kept being ushered from one scene to another without any break.
Naturally, the first person who noticed his restlessness was Yan Renzhong.
"What’s wrong?" He whispered the mont they stood close to each other. "You seem distracted."
"My ring," Shen Jingwei spoke urgently. "It’s missing."
Yan Renzhong widened his eyes in alarm.
"How co?"
"I don’t know," Shen Jingwei muttered. "I rember taking it off to wash my face in the restroom, but I can’t rember putting it back on. Or putting it in my pocket."
Yan Renzhong tucked a strand of long hair away from Shen Jingwei’s face.
"Calm down. We will look for it together as soon as this scene wrapped."
Shen Jingwei gave him a stiff nod in return.
"I can’t believe it," he sighed. "It was so dumb."
"Was soone with you in the restroom?"
"Yes. Lang Yuxuan."
The two n looked at each other, each of them harbored their own thoughts about Lang Yuxuan.
"I am going to talk to him," Yan Renzhong said afterward.
"No, let ," Shen Jingwei insisted. "It doesn’t make sense for you to talk to him regarding this matter."
"Oh, geez. Can you two please wind down from the drama?" Soone snapped so distance away.
Both Shen Jingwei and Yan Renzhong turned to look at Feng Jietang, who rolled his eyes so hard they might just never return to their original positions.
He then lifted his hand, dangling a silver chain from between his fingers.
"Did you lose sothing, Little Shen?"
Shen Jingwei was overco with elation.
"Heavens! Thank God you found it!"
He reached out to take it from Feng Jietang, but the latter avoided his touch.

"I don’t give out stuff for free. I require so paynt for my hard work."
Both Yan Renzhong and Shen Jingwei pinned Feng Jietang with a look.
"Na your price," Yan Renzhong said.
"Pffft. I am rich. I don’t need your small changes," Feng Jietang quipped.
"So what do you want then?" Shen Jingwei frowned at Feng Jietang.
"I want Little Shen to take out for a fancy dinner for two," Feng Jietang declared with a smug smile.

"..."
"Hey, it’s the very least you can do, alright? After all your ruthless boss cheated to secure himself a win at the tennis court!"
Yan Renzhong, who had yet to hear about this matter, arched an eyebrow at Feng Jietang in confusion.
"What win at the tennis court?"
"Long story," Shen Jingwei sighed. "Fine. Dinner is on tonight."
"Yay!"
Feng Jietang grinned from ear to ear. He then pulled Shen Jingwei close.
"Co, Little Uncle. We have a scene to shoot. Oh, and Zhang Fengxi? Get lost, please. Thank you very much."
"..."
Yan Renzhong scoffed and walked away.
At the conclusion of the second season, Xie Jianyu beca pregnant with Zhang Fengxi’s twins, which was not revealed until the third season.
While the Crown Prince was overjoyed to welco bundles on joy into his life, General Zhang Fengxi was distraught by the news.

Xie Jianyu, who discovered Mingyu’s ill fate, went to find Jiang Muchen and asked for his explanation.
At this point, they suspected that soone deliberately pushed Mingyu into the lion’s enclosure.
The question was rather, who could it be?

Understanding flashed across Yan Renzhong’s eyes.
"Did you do it?" He asked without looking at Shang Ruohai, his eyes locked onto Shen Jingwei, who was still talking to Feng Jietang.
"No," Shang Ruohai answered while shaking his sleeves lightly. "But for our sake, it is better if that bird does not sing."
Yan Renzhong turned toward Shang Ruohai with a frown.
"Are you asking to kill one of Jianbao’s beloved handmaids?"
Shang Ruohai cut Yan Renzhong a smirk.
"Would you rather kill your wife, then?"
"..."
The question was lodged inside the General’s heart like a rusty nail into a wooden fence.
Between his beloved wife and his beloved children, which one was more important?
Could he pick one without mourning the loss of the other?
Before long, their short visit to Shuiran Palace ended.
Shen Jingwei and Yan Renzhong made their way to the cloud carriage, preparing to return to Fuxi Palace.
As Shen Jingwei reached out to ascend the carriage, a sudden wave of nausea overca him. He pressed a hand to his lips, his body convulsing with violent retching.
Yan Renzhong widened his eyes in shock.
"Jingbao...!"
