New singers from smaller entertainnt companies, unconnected to established networks, continuously faced an uphill battle against the daily tide of new songs.
Without a pre-existing fanbase, they were often swept away by the relentless current.
This naturally did not apply to Shen Jingwei, whose teoric rise into stardom was further amplified by the fact that he was dating Yan Renzhong, the most popular actor to date.

That being said, if he wanted to extort so favors off Shang Ruohai, he needed to move fast.
Lang Yuxuan got his act together and gathered all his courage to face Shang Ruohai.
If he was not shooting or supervising a scene, the man in question typically spent his ti in the editing room, giving his feedback to each episode as required.
But when Lang Yuxuan visited the editing room, Shang Ruohai was not around.
When the strict boss was not breathing down their necks, the production team mbers were obviously more relaxed. They happily chatted with each other, even going as far as offering Lang Yuxuan a strawberry cookie.
"No, thanks, I am looking for Senior Shang," Lang Yuxuan insisted. "Can anyone tell where he currently is?"
"He’s probably on the toilet taking a dump," one person cheekily answered. "He said he was going to be back soon, but it has been almost an hour!"
Lang Yuxuan rolled with his eyes. He put down a box of cake rolls on the table and said, "In that case, please enjoy the cake as you work, thank you."
"Wooooh!"
"Little Lang, you are the best!"
Lang Yuxuan then left to find Shang Ruohai.
Although he did not entertain the idea of Shang Ruohai taking a dump for almost an hour, he still ended up visiting the restroom just to make sure.
He pushed the door open and ca face-to-face with soone familiar.
Unfortunately, it was not Shang Ruohai.
It was the hateful Shen Jingwei.
Shen Jingwei, who was in the middle of washing his face, turned to look at the other person who just entered the restroom.

He was not surprised to find a scowl gracing Lang Yuxuan’s features.

"Actually, the production team needs you," he suddenly blurted out without thinking.
Shen Jingwei frowned at Lang Yuxuan.
"Huh? ?"
"Yes. They wanted you to take a look at the clips from yesterday. Can you drop by the editing room?"
Lang Yuxuan thodically approached Shen Jingwei, until he practically stood between Shen Jingwei and the ring, obscuring his sight.
Shen Jingwei shrugged.
"Fine with ."
He left.
Lang Yuxuan’s heart pounded hard against his chest.
He actually forgot his ring!
Lang Yuxuan snatched the ring and silver chain off the counter and escaped from the restroom as fast as he could.
As soon as he was outside the building, he inspected the ring carefully under the sun.
It bore the inscription YRZ.
Yan Renzhong.
Lang Yuxuan bit into his lips as he tightened his hand around the ring.
What was this?
It looked like an engagent ring.
Ridiculous.
Utterly disgusting.
For Shen Jingwei to receive such a precious ring from Yan Renzhong... He didn’t deserve it at all!
Lang Yuxuan marched toward a nearby river. He raised his arm, ready to cast the ring into the river, when a sudden grip seized his wrist.
Shock was written all over his face when he saw who it was.
Feng Jietang.
"Lang Yuxuan, what are you doing?" He asked.
"I... None of your business!" Lang Yuxuan snapped.
Wordlessly, Feng Jietang wrenched the ring out of Lang Yuxuan’s hand and observed it. The initials YRZ sparkled under the bright sun.
"This belongs to Shen Jingwei," he decided. "Why is it with you?"
