The speed at which two people could create a tangled web of misunderstandings was astonishing.

Once a misunderstanding landed, it trapped the two people in a thick fog of confusion, giving rise to more misunderstandings.

The once-clear path between their hearts beca shrouded in darkness, leaving them unable to see each other as they truly were.

Their minds, clouded by suspicion and hurt, raced to find explanations that fit their distorted perceptions.

Every word, every action was scrutinized through a lens of distrust, magnifying even the smallest inconsistencies. The once-familiar contours of their relationship beca unrecognizable, warped into a more sinister version of reality.

As the misunderstandings piled on, they built a wall between them, a barrier that seed impenetrable.

Communication, the lifeblood of any relationship, beca strained and fraught with misinterpretations. Each attempt to bridge the gap only seed to widen it further.

The once-vibrant connection between them faded, replaced by a chilling silence.

Lost in the labyrinth of their own misunderstandings, they wandered aimlessly, unable to find their way back to each other. The once-clear path that led to their hearts was now a maze of confusion, filled with dead ends and detours.

Love and affection died out, leaving only pain and resentnt behind.

"I am sorry," Shen Jingwei choked out. "I never ant to hurt you."

Yan Renzhong tugged at Shen Jingwei’s hand and pulled him close. Shen Jingwei moved from his seat to Yan Renzhong’s bedside, before he was wrapped in Yan Renzhong’s arms.

"I am also sorry," Yan Renzhong whispered into Shen Jingwei’s ear before planting a kiss on his cheek. "For mistrusting you. For being rough to you. I am sorry for everything."

"..."

Shen hooked his arms behind Yan Renzhong’s neck, pulling him into an even tighter embrace.

"I..."

There were too many things to say, and at the sa ti there were hardly any words adequate enough to convey his innermost feelings at that ti.

Yan Renzhong loosened their hug and leaned closer to Shen Jingwei. His own eyes moist from unshed tears, he whispered against Shen Jingwei’s lips, "Will you please co back?"

Uncontained, Shen Jingwei’s tears stread down his cheeks like two rivulets.

"Yes," he said, nodding several tis in sequence. His voice was hoarse with overflowing emotions. "Of course."

Yan Renzhong smiled in elation.

"I love you, Jingbao."

"I love you too, Yan Renzhong..."

Shen Jingwei straddled Yan Renzhong’s body, his lips moving across Yan Renzhong’s with a passion he hadn’t realized he was capable of.

Their passionate kiss lasted for a long ti, a culmination of their pent-up desire. They embraced each other tightly, their bodies pressed together, their skin brushing against each other, conveying the depth of their longing.

Once their emotions had settled, they lay entwined in each other’s arms, their eyes heavy with sleep.

Since Shen Jingwei left the apartnt, neither of them slept throughout the nights. Their sleep had been plagued by recurring nightmares, causing them to wake up several tis.

The dark circles around their eyes grew deeper and deeper in tone with every passing day, worrying the make-up artists to no end.

It was only now, together, with their hearts beating as one, that they could finally rest peacefully.

The entire afternoon was spent on the bed, and the outside world seed to be forgotten.

The loving couple only cared about spending ti together.

And then, Shen Jingwei woke up with a start. Next to him, Yan Renzhong too stirred awake.

"What’s wrong, Jingbao?"

"I wonder where Manager Wen ran off to," Shen Jingwei remarked. "What about the dicine?"

Yan Renzhong cleared his throat.

"Uh, truthfully, I am not sick at all."

"..."

Shen Jingwei landed a smack across Yan Renzhong’s chest.

"How dare you deceive !" He cried out in indignation.

Yan Renzhong snickered.

"I had to get you back into the house, and the golden chance presented itself. How could I say no?"

Lately, Wen Guilin’s performance had beco more and more outstanding. It might be ti to talk about a raise in salary.

"Pfft."

Yan Renzhong gave Shen Jingwei a peck on the lips.

"Don’t be angry at ."

"I am not, but you shouldn’t have lied."

"I am sorry. Still, I am glad we resolved our misunderstandings."

Yan Renzhong cupped Shen Jingwei’s face in his hands and rubbed their noses together.

"Promise that this won’t ever happen again," he whispered. "I can’t stand losing you another ti."

"I promise," Shen Jingwei bumped his forehead gently against Yan Renzhong’s. "We will solve all misunderstandings on the spot before they take root."

"Mhm... Agree."

Just as they were about to kiss again, the doorbell rang, abruptly shattering the peaceful mont and pulling them back into reality.

"I’ll get that," Shen Jingwei said in a hurry. Accustod to Yan Renzhong’s tactics in bed, he knew he needed to distance himself from Yan Renzhong urgently. Another kiss could lead him down a dangerous path, leaving him stripped of his defenses and ensnared in Yan Renzhong’s seductive allure for hours to co.

The one ringing the doorbell outside was a security guard of the Red Jade Pavilion.

He was accompanied by Lang Yuxuan and Jin Zhuo.

The mont the door opened, both of them spoke at the sa ti.

"Senior Yan, are you sick???"

"Senior Yan, do you need any help around here???"

But the one who opened the door was Shen Jingwei, not Yan Renzhong.

Lang Yuxuan and Jin Zhuo gaped at him in disbelief.

Initially, they believed they were experiencing a hallucination. However, their suspicions were dispelled when the security guard greeted Shen Jingwei with respect.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Shen. These two gentlen insisted on eting Mr. Yan. Do you know them?"

Shen Jingwei looked Lang Yuxuan and Jin Zhuo up and down. He then crossed his arms before his chest, leaned against the door fra, and casually said, "Yan Renzhong is still in bed. Can I take a ssage for the both of you?"

The change in their facial expressions was beyond priceless.
