Alia Garcia listened to their conversation, unsure how to describe her feelings at the mont.
How had a child barely over four years old planned all this so ticulously?
And he had almost succeeded!
"Noah, you are not to do these things behind mom’s back again. That man is not as easy to deal with as you think. If he discovers you, he will definitely take you away, and mom might never see you and your brother again."
"Okay!" The little one nodded seriously and then comforted his mom, "I’ll be careful, he won’t find us."
Alia Garcia stared at her son, her shock lingering.
She always thought she had kept it a secret very well, but she never imagined that her son had long known who his father was and had even run into him several tis.
She finally understood that the "big brother" Hope often ntioned was her eldest son!
Thinking back on it now, she realized she had been so naive!
She couldn’t even outsmart a child over four years old.
However, with the thought that her son had already t Christopher Hart, she suddenly grew curious and asked, "Noah, haven’t you been always asking where dad is? Now that you’ve t him, why don’t you want to stay with him?"
The young boy’s voice was bitterly adamant, "Because dad is not good!"
He is a scumbag father!
"Not good?"
"Yeah! He doesn’t want mom, and I don’t want him either!"
Alia Garcia: "... "
Noah tilted his head, feeling sad, "I know dad is going to marry soone else, he likes soone else. Poor sister, she is going to get a stepmom, what if the stepmom is an to her..."
Ethan also nodded, "In fairy tales, stepmoms are always so evil! Mom, we need to find a way, we must sneak sister out!"
Alia Garcia looked at the earnest faces of her two sons, at a loss for words and not sure whether to laugh or cry.
Her heart felt incredibly warm.
She had always hidden the truth from the two brothers, fearing that if they knew their father existed, they would leave with him.
But it turned out, they firmly stood by her side.
A bitter sense of being moved swept over her, and she couldn’t help but pull her two sons into her arms, saying emotionally, "Mom is so blessed to have you. Don’t worry, your sister will be fine. When there’s a chance, we’ll bring her out too."
"Okay!" Noah nodded, then asked crisply, "Then when I miss sister, can I go visit her?"
Alia Garcia frowned at her son, "That might be too dangerous, don’t you think?"
"That guy is so dumb! He didn’t even recognize his own son when he saw him."
Ethan proudly said, "I even made a face at him and scared him, hahaha!"
"... " Alia Garcia facepald.
If Christopher Hart knew his own son was dissing him like this, he would probably be furious.
Knowing her son was talking about the incident at the amusent park, her heart clenched with fear, recalling when Snow had called her, and she had been terrified out of her wits.
"For safety’s sake, it’s better to avoid it, I can’t bear losing you."
"Alright then!" The little boy was well-behaved, realizing he resembled his dad more than his brother did and didn’t dare to take chances, he nodded and gave up on the idea for the mont.
Letting the children play on their own, Alia Garcia finally had so ti to have a proper conversation with Kane.
"Thank you, for taking such a risk to fulfill my wish. With a helicopter in action, it looks like you went to a lot of trouble."
Kane showed a look of regret, gesturing with his hands, "We were just a bit short, so close to succeeding."
Yes indeed...
Alia Garcia thought, if it hadn’t been for Hope suddenly falling ill with a high fever, Kane’s team would have been able to secretly whisk her daughter away—she too felt a deep sense of regret.
Perhaps this was destiny.
Even God couldn’t stand her greed anymore.
"I’ve co to realize that it’s good for my daughter to stay with him. After the little girl has her surgery and recovers, I will leave here." She smiled in resignation, then turned to Kane and spoke.
Kane looked shocked, "You don’t want your daughter anymore?"
"It’s not that I don’t want her, it’s that I can’t have her."
"You could try to fight for her, it might be possible."
She shook her head. "You don’t understand that man; he’s not as easy to deal with as you think. If he insists on investigating this matter thoroughly, you definitely won’t escape unscathed. So, I think you should leave the country as soon as possible; that would be the safest option."
Kane frowned. "Now? You need help more than ever."
"But I can’t drag you into this."
"But—"
"I’m taking you to the airport in a bit. I’ll leave too, once Hope’s surgery is done."
Seeing that her mind was made up, Kane turned back and looked at the two brothers in the living room, asking, "If I leave, who will take care of them? What if that man discovers them..."
"I already contacted a nanny on my way here; she will take good care of the brothers."
Kane hesitated, at a loss for words.
Alia Garcia returned to the living room, clapped her hands to get the children’s attention, "Noah, Ethan, Kane is about to leave, co say goodbye to him!"
Ethan reluctantly responded, "Ah? Kane is leaving..."
"Yes, you guys have caused this trouble, and if he doesn’t leave quickly, that man will have the police co and arrest him," Alia explained.
Noah suddenly said, "Mommy, I want Kane to be our dad!"
What?
Alia Garcia was taken aback, her facial expression stiffening.
Kane, however, was delighted, gesturing with both hands to the little guy as if to say, "You’re aweso."
Noah gave him a knowing look.
Keeping one’s word is important, he understood!
They had clearly agreed before; if Kane helped them sneak out their sister, he would help set up Kane with their mom.
Even though the plan failed, it wasn’t Kane’s fault, so he had to keep his promise.
Alia watched their interaction, awkwardly scratching her head, then turned to look at the man, "Impressive. In just a matter of days, you’ve won them over."
Kane said with a smile, "It’s not just a few days, it’s been years."
Alia Garcia pursed her lips, unable to respond to that directly but also unable to outright dismiss her son’s words. She rely said, "I’m just overwheld with everything right now and haven’t had the mindspace to think about this. Let’s see later."
Noah again spoke surprisingly, "Mom, do you still like that man?"
Alia’s heart skipped a beat, and she hesitated for a second before denying imdiately, "Of course not!"
"That’s good! That man doesn’t deserve your liking. Girls should treat themselves better and find soone who treats them well!"
Alia Garcia laughed, "What do you know, you’re just a kid!"
"I know! Kane likes you, has liked you for a long ti and treats and my brother well too. You really should consider it~"
Alia Garcia gave a forced laugh, not knowing how to respond anymore.
Just then, soone knocked on the door.
"It must be the nanny. I’ll go get the door. Kane, pack up and head to the airport quickly."
As she spoke, she walked to the door. Barely pulling it open a crack, her face drastically changed, and in nearly lightning speed, she slamd the door shut again!
