Lucas King stepped into the living room, ready to report on important matters, only to be caught off guard by such a provocative scene that his eyes nearly popped out.

The servants standing by, all aunties and elder sisters, were so embarrassed they couldn’t bear to look, each wishing they could hide underground.

"Mmm mmm..." Alia struggled and resisted, but the man still managed to force feed her.

What was worse—

Apparently fearing she’d spit it out, he didn’t let go after feeding her, just kept gripping her jaw firmly until she had to breathe due to lack of oxygen and hastily swallowed in embarrassnt.

"Pff...caugh, caugh caugh—" The food had gone down the wrong pipe, and the woman began coughing in agony.

Christopher finally let go, his attractive, thin lips curving up slightly, as he watched her discomfort with great interest.

Alia kept coughing, unable to straighten her back.

Lucas and the servants were all petrified.

"What are you standing around for? Get Miss Norton so water," he continued, smirking and nudging the stunned Aunt Harper.

"Oh, right away! Right away!"

Aunt Harper quickly fetched so water and handed it to Alia, "Miss Norton, have so water to recover."

Alia was still coughing, feeling as if her lungs would explode!

Her face turned red and purplish, and tears spurted out.

Taking the cup, she couldn’t even say thank you, and imdiately chugged it down.

But it was no use.

The discomfort of food choking her airway was not sothing that could be relieved quickly, and the unpleasant feeling of foreign bodies invading would persist for a long ti.

Christopher noticed Lucas, and his gaze shifted over.

Lucas imdiately cleared his throat, acting as if he had seen nothing, and approached.

"President Hart, there’s news."

As soon as he spoke, Alia’s attention snapped to him.

There’s news?

Could it be that Hope has been found?

Was it Kane after all? He was also with his brothers, Noah and Ethan; if Hope was taken by him, it ant the siblings had already been reunited.

Alia felt a mix of excitent and worried anxiety, unsure if she felt more ecstatic or concerned.

"Speak," President Hart’s heart tightened suddenly, and his expression beca much more composed.

Lucas said, "The police have retrieved so surveillance footage and saw Miss Hope running off, indeed leaving with a young boy."

Alia’s ears perked up, her heart skipping a beat.

Leaving with a young boy? Could it be Noah or Ethan?

Thinking her sons might have been discovered made her even more nervous and uneasy.

"Has the boy’s identity been confird?"

"Not yet... because the footage didn’t capture his face clearly, it’s a bit difficult to identify him."

"Have the hospital cooperate, check all the children who entered and exited the hospital that day, and compare them one by one. I refuse to believe we can’t find him."

"Yes, I’ve arranged it that way, and we’re in the process of checking."

"Mmm."

"Also, the police have set up roadblocks on all exit routes from the city, and so far no suspicious persons have been found; Miss Hope is definitely still in the city."

Christopher was deep in thought, his brows furrowed, not responding.

Suddenly, he turned his head to Aunt Harper and asked, "When you usually take Hope out, have you encountered any young boys?"

Aunt Harper pondered, "Indeed, there was one; Miss Hope always called him ’big brother, big brother’..."

"Do you rember what he looked like?"

"If you rember, then things beco simple!"

"I..." Aunt Harper furrowed her brows and faltered, "Every ti I found Miss Hope, I hurriedly took her away without paying attention to anyone around. I thought she was just another passerby’s child."

"Not a passerby." Christopher shook his head, beginning to connect many events in his mind.

The "stay-safe" phone call from his daughter sounded quite cheerful, not at all like she was in danger.

That ant, the person she was with, she must know well.

If that was the boy, it ant they had t many tis before—how could he be a random passerby?

So now, the focus was on who this little boy really was.

Alia Garcia’s heart raced, stifling even her cough.

At that mont, she too was confused.

According to Christopher, a "big brother" often appeared around Hope.

And this disappearance of Hope was also related to that "big brother".

She rembered telling her sons they had a sister, and it struck her!

Could it be—

Noah and Ethan had already known who their sister was and had secretly t her?

Alia was stunned!

Thinking it through, considering her eldest son’s intelligence, it was indeed very possible!

If that was the case, then Kane must know too.

So, Kane was deceiving her.

The three of them had conspired together to take Hope!

Heavens—

Alia, realizing everything, was overwheld with panic!

They were too bold!

This was River City, where Christopher could manipulate everything. How could they be sure they could take a child unnoticed?

If discovered, not only would Kane face criminal charges, but Noah and Ethan would be exposed!

She couldn’t imagine Christopher’s reaction when he discovered his sons existed!

The restaurant suddenly quieted down. Christopher turned to look at the silent woman, seeing her dazed expression, flushed face, and panicked, chaotic eyes, and frowned.

"What’s wrong with Miss Norton? Did you rember sothing?" he asked curiously.

Alia snapped back to reality, coughed a few tis, and tried to think of a way to divert his attention.

"Why do you always focus on ? The child is missing, yet as a father, you don’t show any worry or fear. Instead, you drag here to harass and insult . Your actions are no different from those of a thug! I’ve never seen a father like you!"

Her tone was heavy and her face furious; she clenched her fists in righteous indignation, but it was really just to suppress her own fear.

Christopher listened to her accusation with a serene expression, twirling the chopstick rest in his left hand, before replying slowly, "Hope called after she disappeared, said she was going to a friend’s house for a few days, and told not to worry."

What?!

Alia was shocked again!

But she still objected, "Maybe... maybe she was threatened. She’s still so young!"

"Sounding cheerful and eager to play, even unwilling to talk to —do you think she was threatened?"

Alia: "..."

"So, I’m very curious, when did your accomplice get so close to my daughter? And who are you exactly? What did you do with my daughter?"

"I’ve told you many tis who I am, and if you don’t believe , I can’t help that. As for my boyfriend, he has never t your daughter, let alone taken her. Your suspicions are really quite ridiculous!"

Christopher snorted coldly, "A dead duck still stiffens its mouth."

"..." Alia glared at him, thinking to herself that he is the real dead duck.
