Alia Garcia frowned, tilting her neck to dodge backward, but Christopher pressed closely without allowing any escape.

Her head hit the seat and she had nowhere to retreat. His hand held her by the neck, offering no escape, so she could only let him kiss her obediently.

"A short separation rekindles the fla of romance," the saying goes, not without reason.

Initially, Alia resisted, but when his breath thoroughly enveloped her, the longing accumulated from their days apart surged forward like a floodgate opening.

Involuntarily, she hooked her arms around him, moving from resisting to eagerly welcoming.

Once she showed initiative, Christopher’s passion intensified. The two of them embraced tightly, and they couldn’t stop.

It wasn’t until their Lincoln braked at a red light, causing them to lean slightly forward with the montum, that they ca to their senses a bit.

But even that didn’t separate them.

Forehead to forehead, Christopher and Alia’s noses brushed against each other, creating an awkward yet intimate entanglent.

Both were breathless. Alia’s cheeks flushed with shyness, not daring to et his eyes, yet she lingered, cherishing this mont of warmth and beauty.

Gazing at her with infatuation, he couldn’t help but plant a few more kisses, murmuring in a husky, srizing tone, "Alia... I really can’t wait any longer... Will you marry ? Think of it as... giving peace of mind."

Christopher being so clever, how could he not see that this woman wasn’t afraid he’d abandon her? She was no longer the weak and dependent girl from before. Now, she could independently manage a company, fiercely sell it off.

She had her own ideas.

She didn’t need to rely on a man to live.

Therefore, the one who was afraid was him.

He was using this opportunity, under the guise of returning the favor, to "bind" her to his household registration.

Amnesty lost in emotion, gazing intently into his deep, loving eyes.

Within those profound eyes, she saw a tiny reflection of herself, as if he were hiding her in the deepest part of his heart.

Reason gradually drifting away, a voice inside urged her: Just marry him, marry him~

But her mouth stubbornly insisted, "I think it’s too... um."

Not the answer he wanted, he wouldn’t even give her the chance to say it out loud, sealing it with another kiss.

Alia frowned, this man was such a rascal. Who proposes like this? Kissing rather than accepting refusal?

"Are we going to collect the marriage certificate tomorrow? Hmm?" He asked again with that enchanting tone between kisses.

He was doing it on purpose.

He wanted to kiss her until she was utterly dazed, unable to think, and nodded in agreent.

Alia tried to turn her head away, but she couldn’t break free, as though their lips were glued together...

Feeling both amused and helpless, she pitifully frowned, "Christopher, where is there soone like you..."

Unfazed, his voice gentle, laced with seductive charm, he persisted, "Will you agree? Hmm? I can keep kissing until you do..."

"..."

"Alia, marry ..."

"..."

She was drunk, drunk in his deeply affectionate whispers, drunk in his tender, heart-lting care. Enough...

We’re all ordinary people, living lodramatic lives.

Since he’s so sincere, let it be.

It’s just marriage, after all?

She had the experience; it wasn’t such a big deal.

"Tomorrow morning... I might not have ti—" Finally, she relented. As she said this, a shy and happy smile curled at her lips.

Christopher opened his eyes, staring at her, incredulous.

Alia felt increasingly embarrassed under his gaze, her ears burning red.

After a whole five seconds, Mr. Hart suddenly snapped out of it, realizing she had agreed, and quickly asked, "Then when can you?"

"How about the afternoon, what ti does the civil affairs office close?"

"Doesn’t matter! Two o’clock tomorrow afternoon, I’ll pick you up?"

"No need. I’ll drive myself to work tomorrow, so let’s just et at the civil affairs office at two PM."

"Alright then!" Christopher thought about how the company would resu trading the day after tomorrow, and indeed, there were many things to do tomorrow. He was also squeezing in so ti to get married.

Having reached an agreent, they exchanged a smile, and he leaned in for another kiss.

Alia laughed and cried, "I’ve already agreed, and you’re still kissing!"

"It’s different now; I’m kissing my wife."

Wife...

During the three years they were married, he had never called her so.

Now, as they grew older and their children were in their teens, he suddenly beca all lovey-dovey.

Returning ho, they were imdiately greeted by the children’s enthusiastic welco.

Hope: "Mom, you’re finally back! Without you at ho, Ethan keeps sneaking food. Look at him, hasn’t he gained weight?"

Ethan: "No I haven’t! I only eat two bowls of rice at each al! Mom, don’t I look skinny from hunger?"

Noah: "Mom, you must be hungry. Aunt Harper made dinner, and we’ve been waiting for you and Dad!"

During the day, when Christopher went to the company, he called the children to let them know their mom was back, so they had eagerly awaited her return.

Surrounded by the children, listening to their chattering voices, Alia felt an intense nostalgia. It seed like during the days without their lively noise, her world was a black-and-white silent film, tedious and boring.

"You haven’t eaten yet? Silly kids, you must be starving!"

Noah: "Not hungry! We wanted to wait for you to eat together, Mom!"

Alia: "Alright, alright, let’s hurry up and have dinner!"

Hope: "Mommy, carry ..."

Ethan: "You’re too old for carrying now."

Hope: "But I’m still a baby!"

Ethan: "Mom, don’t play favorites, I want to be carried too..."

Hope: "Hmph! And you laughed at !"

Alia led the chatty little ones into the house like a mother hen leading her chicks.

Christopher followed behind, feeling sowhat left out as his children paid no attention to him.

So, what did he have to fear?

She had these adorable, clever three treasures—nothing in the world could surpass that.

All along, he was the only one afraid.

Thankfully, she finally agreed to get their marriage certificate tomorrow.

With the binding force of a marriage contract, his anxious heart could finally relax a bit.

Early the next morning, while driving to the company, Alia received a call from Jacob Garcia.

"Sis, I contacted the secretary of Mandrake’s chairman, but unfortunately, they’re abroad on business these days."

Alia frowned, "Really? Did they say when they’ll be back?"

"Not until next week at the earliest..."

Next week, too late.

After days of negotiation, Seal-Cloud had already delayed the resumption as long as possible. Tomorrow was the final deadline; it must resu trading.

She had discussed it with Christopher last night. Over these days, through financing and selling assets, he had gathered so money, and combined with her advance paynts, they could hold out for a few days.

But not until next week.

"Try contacting them again, see if they can appoint soone else to handle it. Tell them it’s urgent for us; if they can’t accommodate us, we’ll have to look for another buyer."

"Got it, I’ll update you as soon as I hear back."

"Alright!"

Jacob was efficient, and after Alia arrived at the company, he called again.

"Sis, they can send a representative. Let’s et this afternoon in the Ancient Town. If negotiations go well, we can close the deal today!"
