Alia Garcia had just dropped off her children and hadn’t yet arrived at the studio when her phone rang.

"Shaw."

Her assistant Shaw asked anxiously, "Sis, when are you coming over? There’s a big problem!"

"What’s wrong?" Alia had already received bad news that morning, so she was relatively calm this ti and asked in a steady voice.

"The news that Kane wants to pull out his shares sohow got leaked. Several executives ca looking for you, everyone is worried about whether the company can continue, and they are also worried about you... not having the ability to manage the company well. People are saying all kinds of things, and those designers invited from the headquarters are also waiting for you."

Shaw rattled off a whole lot, sounding as anxious as ants on a hot pan.

With the children not around, Alia didn’t need to pretend. While listening to Shaw, she rubbed her temples, overwheld with irritation and distress.

They had not dared to make this public temporarily, precisely for fear of causing company turmoil.

The launch of next season’s new products was in full swing and, if news of the company founder disbanding spread now, it would definitely be a severe blow to the company.

Moreover, Venus was a brand founded abroad.

Even though the dostic market had opened up and the response was good, the company’s focus was still in Zurich.

The main famous designers were also from abroad.

If Kane left, many would assu the brand was going to "localize" and those foreign designers might collectively resign and leave.

Thinking of all this gave Alia a headache.

"I understand, I’m on my way and will be there soon. Calm them down for now."

"Okay..."

After hanging up, Alia fiddled with her phone, feeling sowhat hesitant.

She didn’t know if Kane had left yet. Since they parted in the hotel that day, they had only spoken once on the phone and had not contacted each other again.

Given today’s circumstances, if he could show up to provide reassurance, it would be more effective than anything she could say.

She thought about calling him to ask, but feared he might have already started his journey. Letting him know would only cause unnecessary worry.

Besides, even if he hadn’t left, it wasn’t appropriate to trouble him given their current relationship.

Forget it, she had to rely on herself.

Whatever the outco, she would do her best.

If she really couldn’t retain him, then it was fate, and she would look for designers afterward.

But she never expected that when she rushed to the studio, Kane was already sitting in the conference room.

She hurried in, pushing open the conference room door while still catching her breath. Seeing the man sitting next to the chairman’s seat, she exclaid in surprise, "Kane... you haven’t left?"

Shaw quickly stepped forward, "Sis, Kane has already—"

Before Shaw could finish, Alia turned to her assistant and asked in a low voice, "Did you call Kane?"

"No, no, it wasn’t ," Shaw waved her hands hastily, also in a low voice, "Although I really wanted to, I knew you’d definitely not want to trouble Kane, so I didn’t call... it was Anna and the others."

Anna and her group were the head designers whom Alia had brought in from headquarters to oversee a few months ago.

"Okay, I understand," Alia nodded, quickly adjusted her emotions, and stepped further inside.

Kane stood up, his deep and enchanting blue eyes quietly watching the woman he hadn’t seen for several days.

Alia smiled and nodded at him, walked to the chairman’s seat and sat down; Kane also took his seat again.

With both founders present, the executives and head designers who were uneasy finally settled down.

"I understand all your concerns, and I regret Kane’s departure, but I respect his decision and will complete the transition as quickly as possible. Please trust , give so ti, and I will certainly satisfy everyone," Alia spoke extensively about company operations managent to the executives’ and designers’ salaries and benefits—publicly assuring them it would be exactly the sa as when Kane was in charge.

While so were convinced, others were skeptical, "As far as we understand, President Norton simply doesn’t have the capability to buy all the shares Kane holds. To take over the company, she will inevitably need to seek external funding."

"And once you start financing or accept venture capital, you will have to welco new shareholders. It’s hard to say whether they will fulfill these promises according to your wishes."

"Yes, President Norton is promising us everything now, but we are very skeptical about whether these can be realized."

After listening to everyone’s doubts, before Alia could speak, Kane responded, "If that’s what you’re worried about, there’s no need. I can step back from the company’s operational managent, but I will not withdraw the funds for the ti being—the entire operation will be under Clarke Norton’s responsibility. What else are you worried about?"

Alia turned to look at him, "Kane."

This was really too...

She already owed Kane more than she could ever repay.

Now that they were winding up their partnership, and he was still considering her welfare to this extent—this favor...

She couldn’t bear it.

Kane looked at her and gave a reassuring look.

Alia Garcia hadn’t yet spoken when the door to the conference room suddenly burst open, accompanied by a forceful and arrogant female voice in English, "No! Kane, have you forgotten what you promised my parents that day? You would break up with this woman, sever ties with Venus, and you also promised your sister that you would return ho soon to take over the family business."

Betty walked in as she spoke, her gaze turning disapprovingly towards Alia Garcia, "We were originally supposed to start our flight today, but Kane heard that the company was in trouble and insisted on coming here, which might cause us to miss our flight now."

They had left the hotel to head to the airport when Kane received a call and rushed over to the studio without a second word.

Betty accompanied him and was waiting downstairs.

Seeing that the people weren’t coming down for a long ti, she worried about delaying the flight and had to co up to see the situation, only to overhear this conversation.

Alia Garcia didn’t realize they were on today’s flight and, upon hearing this, she looked at Kane in shock, "What ti is your flight? You better head to the airport now, don’t delay. I’ll handle the company issues."

"It’s okay, I can just change the ticket," Kane said unmoved.

Betty interjected again, "Kane, you’ve already delayed it multiple tis."

Alia Garcia suddenly stood up and approached, grabbing hold of Kane’s sleeve, "Go, hurry to the airport. I’ll take care of things here."

Ever since Kane saw her, he had been restraining his emotions.

He wanted to hold her, this could potentially be their last embrace, possibly even their last eting.

But he dared not.

He had already stepped back, there were no reasons left to be close to her, such inappropriate contact would only cause misunderstandings and make her suffer.

Suppressing the reluctance and affection in his heart was difficult, but when Alia Garcia took the initiative and grabbed his arm, he suddenly couldn’t hold back anymore and grasped her hand in return.

"Clarke... let do sothing for you one last ti," he said, holding onto her pulling hand, his blue eyes overflowing with deep, moving emotions.

Alia Garcia looked at him, and the sadness and heartache that had been swirling in her mind for days ca flooding back.

A passionate heart suffers more than a heartless one.

At this mont, she truly wished she had never t Kane, even if her life could be a hundred tis harder without him, she didn’t want to hurt him at this ti.

Yet, in front of Betty, she couldn’t be indecisive or fickle.

Thus, she let go of Kane’s hand, her expression calm but resolute, "No need, that decision was made in front of the Countess that day, I can’t go back on it. I will raise the funds as soon as possible and buy out your shares. From then on, Venus will no longer be your responsibility or duty."

"Clarke—"

Alia Garcia looked at Betty and emphasized, "What are you waiting for? Hurry and take him to the airport!"

Betty stepped forward to pull Kane, but Kane was such a large man, if he decided not to move, there was no way Betty could budge him.

The senior executives and head designers beca the onlookers.

Seeing Kane preparing to leave, everyone had just begun to feel sowhat soothed, yet their anxiety shot up again.

"President Norton, how will you resolve this issue? Do you have that much money?"

"Right! If not, just release the shares, we can all invest!"

Alia Garcia’s emotions were in turmoil and she remained silent; Shaw saw that everyone was getting restless and shouted, "Even if the shares are released, can you all gather more than two hundred million?"

Of course, they could not—

"So what do we do? If we go for financing, and outsiders control the company, we’re likely headed for a dead end!"

Just as the atmosphere was tense and no convincing solution was forthcoming, soone knocked on the office door.

"President Norton, soone is here to see you, he says... he wants to invest in shares," the secretary said quietly.

Everyone was startled and all eyes turned towards the door.

Alia Garcia was stunned, but it was only montary, she quickly walked to the door, "Who?"

Before she could finish, a middle-aged man in a suit entered, politely extending his hand, "Good day, President Norton. My last na is Parker, and I’ve heard that you are currently seeking investors. I am quite interested in the Venus brand, so I ca over today to discuss this with you."

Alia Garcia was still holding the man’s hand, not yet having a clear look at his face, when his words further baffled her.

This morning, Snow Fitch had said that the big shots in venture capital had rejected them.

Now, soone was proactively seeking to invest?

This turnaround was too mystifying.

"Mr. Parker, please co in," her heart was still shocked but her face already wore a professional smile, shaking his hand while moving aside to welco him in.

"Hello everyone, my last na is Parker, here’s my business card," Mr. Parker ca in, very familiarly introducing himself before handing out his business cards.

When everyone had taken his business card and was looking it over, he had calmly stepped aside and astonishingly said, "I’m aware of the situation with Venus, and I also heard so of your discussion just now; investing is not as scary as you think, investors don’t necessarily need to interfere with your company’s managent and operations."

Alia Garcia listened, her eyes widening even more.

What did he an?

Before she could voice her confusion, Mr. Parker continued, "I plan to invest two hundred million, but I am busy with other matters and won’t have ti to participate in your company’s decision-making. I only need you to distribute dividends to as agreed upon when you profit."

"Moreover, from what I understand, Ms. Clarke Norton is exceptionally capable. Not only does she have a talent for design, but she also handles operations managent with ease. Hence, my only condition for investing is that from now on, Ms. Clarke Norton will have absolute authority and decision-making power over the Venus brand— as long as you all agree, the funds can be transferred today, and I can even sign the share transfer agreent with Mr. Kane right now."
