"What?" Alia Garcia’s face twisted in shock as her heartbeat chaotically urged her to look back at the press conference.

"He ca with Hope? You saw them?"

"Yes! I saw them, they’re in the audience seats, a very unnoticeable spot. Ah! He must have co for you! What a scene; for the distinguished young aristocrat, the president of the conglorate, to lower himself to sit in a corner, it’s so heart-wrenching~"

Alia clenched her phone, speechless.

Her emotions were in turmoil, not knowing what to say.

With so many dia present at this event, he ca here to make his presence felt, as if fearing he wouldn’t be noticed?

The storms of the past few days had finally settled, and today, thanks to her outstanding work, she had managed to sowhat restore her image.

She couldn’t let this guy ruin it all again!

After hanging up, Alia felt a sense of urgency.

No, she had to talk to Christopher Hart and have him take Hope away imdiately.

After briefly exchanging pleasantries with the few people before her, she turned around to leave, but as she turned her head, "clatter" went the sound as she bumped into a guest!

"Sorry, sorry, are you alright?" Alia panicked, apologizing profusely, she observed the shattered glass on the floor and the woman’s long dress stained with juice, and imdiately beca flustered.

"It’s okay, just that my dress is dirty, are you alright? It’s my fault for not being careful," Nathan Davis said with humility, looking down at the broken glass and fresh juice on the floor, apologizing as he held his dessert plates.

"It’s not your fault, I was in too much of a hurry and accidentally bumped into you." Alia hadn’t even had a chance to look at her and quickly called a waiter to clean up to prevent other guests from getting hurt or slipping.

"Your dress..." Once the waiter had started cleaning up, Alia finally turned to look at her, and at that mont, her gaze froze.

That face... it looked vaguely familiar, as if seen sowhere before.

"Oh, my dress is fine, I’ll just go to the restroom and clean up. You’re Miss Norton, right? I really love your work, it truly touches my heart!"

Alia took the towel handed over by the waiter and helped Nathan Davis wipe her dress, smiling as she replied, "Is that so? I’m glad you like it. Is there a particular piece you’re interested in? As an apology, let know if there is sothing you fancy, and I will arrange a VIP discount for you."

"That’s not necessary, my boyfriend has bought it for ."

"Oh, then I can also offer you—"

"What’s going on?" Alia was cut off mid-sentence by a familiar voice erging from the crowd.

Both won turned around at the sa ti, one pleasantly surprised, the other frozen in place.

Christopher Hart made his way through the crowd, quickly understanding the situation before him.

Alia, still holding the towel, realized upon seeing the man who the familiar face before her belonged to.

The rising starlet of the Entertainnt Circle.

It turns out that today Christopher Hart did not only bring Hope, but also his new love.

And the rising starlet had just ntioned that her boyfriend was going to buy her jewelry.

Alia couldn’t help but scoff internally.

This man really had the nerve: bringing his new fla to support his ex-wife’s product launch and splurging on jewelry to please his current fla.

Was he trying to spite soone?

Seeing Christopher arrive, Nathan Davis’s face lit up with joy, but inside she felt a bit panicked.

She had impulsively claid "my boyfriend" without knowing if Christopher had heard.

"Mr. Hart..." In front of the man, she didn’t dare overstep, imdiately reverting to a docile and submissive deanor, "I was just getting so food for Hope, accidentally knocked it over, and even frightened Miss Norton."

Alia Garcia scrutinized the two of them without leaving any trace.

Hearing the internet celebrity call him "Mr. Hart", she suddenly understood.

Perhaps they were still in a phase of romantic ambiguity; Christopher Hart hadn’t given her any official status.

However, being exposed by paparazzi and then coming to the press conference together discreetly, as well as buying jewelry for her—putting all these together, their relationship was certainly not ordinary anymore.

Thinking along these lines, she suddenly began to question the truth behind this accident.

A woman who can struggle and fight in the Entertainnt Circle is no pure and naive lotus; each of them has countless Phoebe Kings living in their hearts—how else could they secure their foothold?

Maybe, she was deliberately here, waiting for a collision to indirectly assert her dominance.

Well, there was really no need for that.

Once Alia understood everything, a formulaic smile quickly ford on her face, "So it’s Mr. Hart, why didn’t you let know you were here? I could have arranged a VIP seat for you to enjoy the event."

Christopher Hart looked at her aloof and indifferent deanor in public and felt a tickle in his heart, "No need; if I like sothing, I’ll buy it and enjoy it at my leisure."

"Oh, well, that’s true, given you’re not short on money. Just now this lady ntioned that her boyfriend would buy her jewelry—as a way to apologize for the ss I made on this lady’s clothes, I can offer you a VIP discount later."

Nathan Davis was frightened by this conversation, saying "Ah" without the chance to intervene.

Then, looking nervously towards Christopher Hart.

But Christopher Hart wasn’t looking at her; he was staring at Alia Garcia with a half-smile, "That would bother Miss Norton."

Nathan Davis breathed a sigh of relief.

Christopher Hart hadn’t pursued the issue of her reference to him!

Could this indicate that their relationship could progress further? Was her status becoming more solidified?

Snow Fitch, who had been watching for a long ti, saw the atmosphere between the two beco awkward after their conversation and imdiately stepped forward to smooth things over, "Ah, everyone, let’s disperse. The jewelry is almost sold out; if you like sothing, better grab it now!"

As the crowd around them dispersed, Snow Fitch turned back to her best friend with raised eyebrows and a secretive look on her face.

Shaw approached and said, "Sister, there’s a haute couture outfit backstage that should suit this guest."

Alia looked towards Nathan Davis, "Hello, if you don’t mind, you can follow my assistant to change your clothes. We’ll take care of cleaning the set you’re wearing and return it to you afterward."

"Alright..." Nathan Davis, seeing her own dress splattered like paint, had no choice but to follow Shaw away.

With everyone gone and Alia busy, she proceeded to walk away.

Christopher Hart didn’t stop her, but as she walked past him, he said in a low voice, "You look very beautiful today."

Alia didn’t turn back, "Thank you."

He turned to watch her retreating figure, "Is this how Miss Norton treats her guests?"

The woman stopped in her tracks.

Thinking of what she had wanted to say, she turned around again, glanced around to make sure no one was paying attention, and with a low voice full of disdain said, "You shouldn’t have co today, and bringing your new interest with you! I’ve finally returned to a peaceful life; can’t you stop causing trouble?"

"I just wanted to support your career," the man took two steps closer, his gaze burning with intensity regardless of the public setting.

"I don’t need it. As long as you don’t create problems, my career will face no crises."

Christopher Hart stopped in his tracks, the light casting his refined and handso features even more strikingly.

He looked at the woman’s delicate face up close, suppressing the urge to reach out and touch her, his Adam’s apple bobbing, "Seeing you shine so brightly, I am genuinely happy for you. Looking back now, the divorce seems to have been a good thing for you, while the one who truly lost... was ..."
