"Do you know each other?" Qin Zhen looked at Sheng Ting and then at Shen Weiyi, asking in surprise.
Shen Weiyi glanced at Sheng Ting, and was about to make introductions for the two, when Sheng Ting took the initiative to speak up, "Hello, Sheng Ting!"
Sheng Ting?
Such a familiar na!
Sheng Ting, Sheng Ting...
Qin Zhen suddenly thought of soone and asked Shen Weiyi doubtfully, "I rember now, isn’t he the high school top scholar from last year?"
Shen Weiyi looked at Sheng Ting and said, "That should be him!"
The next second, Qin Zhen excitedly stood up from her seat, "Hello, my na is Qin Zhen, I’m Yiyi’s classmate!" She started speaking excitedly, and she was just short of pulling out a notebook on the spot for him to sign his autograph.
Sheng Ting nodded at her, then turned back to look at Shen Weiyi, "Were you also there last ti?" He had only filled in for a friend once, and he had not expected that she would have seen him then.
Suddenly, Sheng Ting rembered the scene when they first t.
It seed that she had recognized him even then.
But having known each other for so long, he had never heard her ntion it.
"Yes!" Shen Weiyi nodded. The reason she knew he had been covering for a friend was that Sheng Ting had ntioned it afterward, which was because he was helping a friend out and didn’t have ti to accompany Little Bao, leading to Little Bao running away from ho.
Sheng Ting: "Last ti was indeed covering for a friend, but not this ti."
Under Shen Weiyi’s puzzled gaze, he turned to Shen Jingqi and said, "Your mother knows you’ve co to the bar and is very upset; she sent to take you ho."
Shen Jingqi: ???
What?
Shen Jingqi looked bewildered, and after snapping back to reality, she scornfully looked at him, "Can you even handle it, Brother Ting, using as an excuse like that?" Normally, such a formidable person, and yet so timid when it cos to pursuing a girl.
Qin Zhen blinked, "Do you know each other too?"
Shen Jingqi was about to answer when the phone on the table rang, notifying him that Ms. Lu was calling.
Shen Jingqi instinctively looked in Sheng Ting’s direction.
Sheng Ting signaled him to answer the call.
As soon as he picked up, the sounds of Ms. Lu He’s roar blasted through from the other end, "Shen Jingqi, are you itching for a beating again? Daring to run off to a bar and even drink alcohol."
Shen Jingqi hastily held the phone a bit farther from his ear to prevent his ears from sustaining secondary damage.
"I only had one beer," he said.
But the person on the other end clearly was not interested in his explanations, "I order you to co ho right now, imdiately. If I don’t see you within an hour, prepare to sleep under the bridge!"
Before Shen Jingqi could say anything more, the call was hung up.
"Did you tell my mom?" Shen Jingqi looked up, his face full of resentnt as he glared at Sheng Ting.
"You posted it on your Monts!" Sheng Ting reminded him without any guilt.
Shen Jingqi: ...
Damn, miscalculated!!!
Still, he couldn’t help but suspect Sheng Ting, "Are you sure it wasn’t you who told her?" It was too much of a coincidence that as soon as he arrived, his mom’s call ca through.
It could well have been him reporting to his mom on the way here!
Sheng Ting: "Does it matter who told her at this point?"
Shen Jingqi: ...
At the end of the day, it was his own fault for carelessly posting that picture. If he hadn’t posted it, none of this would have happened.
As it turned out, he had dug his own grave.
And to top it off, the other guy used him as an excuse, only to turn around and sell him out.
He really was a pure and innocent
