"Are you okay?" Shen Weiyi walked up with the two little ones in tow.
"I’m fine, much better now." After Shen Tan finished speaking, she looked at the two little ones beside her and asked, "What brings you here?"
"Yanyan and Ningning were worried about you, so I brought them to see you." After Shen Weiyi checked on Shen Tan in the bed, she glanced at Jiang Yu standing beside.
Although it had been several years since they’d seen each other, Shen Weiyi still recognized him.
He really had changed a lot from before.
She had already learned from the two little ones that it was Jiang Yu who had brought Shen Tan to the hospital.
So seeing him didn’t particularly surprise her.
On the contrary, it was the way the little girl kept calling him "Daddy" on the way over, and the hopeful tone when she ntioned her dad, that made Shen Weiyi think there might be more to co between the two.
Shen Ning rushed over to hug Shen Tan, her eyes full of fear she softly spoke, "Mom, are you better now?"
Shen Tan patted the two little heads, comforting them, "Yeah, Mom’s illness is better. Did it scare you?"
The little girl nodded her head, then shook it, and imdiately looked at the young nurse standing to the side with a syringe, asking with big, round eyes, "Mom, are you scared of getting injections?"
A flicker of embarrassnt crossed Shen Tan’s face, and the very next second, she heard the little girl crisply say, "Mom’s not afraid. Ningbao will blow on it later and it won’t hurt."
"Thanks, baby."
In front of the children, it would not be good for Shen Tan to be wilfully resistant.
With the two little ones’ gaze firmly on her, she obediently let the nurse reinsert the IV needle.
"If you’re all right, I’ll head back first. Do you want to take the little ones ho for you first, or should I leave them here to keep you company?" After Shen Weiyi spoke, she glanced at Jiang Yu.
It seed a bit out of place for her to stay when the family of four were together.
"You’re not staying to take care of ?" Shen Tan asked in surprise.
Actually, she wasn’t so pampered that she needed soone to stay with her for an IV, but if she stayed, that certain soone would probably take the hint and leave.
Shen Weiyi said, "I have a eting in a bit, and you have soone to take care of you, don’t you?"
Shen Tan glared at her, weren’t they good sisters anymore? Could a eting really be more important than sisterhood? Besides, she actually was considering leaving her in Jiang Yu’s care—didn’t she know they were like fire and water, strangers to one another?
But Shen Tan also knew that Shen Weiyi was truly busy.
"Alright, go on. I’m much better now, I don’t need anyone to take care of . Once the IV is done, I can take a cab ho by myself." Which implied that Jiang Yu might as well leave too.
"I’ll co to see you later then," said Shen Weiyi, not standing on ceremony. She waved her hand and left.
After Shen Weiyi departed, Shen Tan turned to Jiang Yu.
The little ones already knew his identity, and in front of them, Shen Tan didn’t want to make too much of a scene, so she dryly said, "Thanks for today, I’m fine now. You can go on with your things."
Jiang Yu gave her a look but didn’t speak, turning to walk towards the door.
Shen Tan breathed a sigh of relief.
However, it wasn’t long before she saw him reappear in the ward.
"Didn’t you leave?" Shen Tan stared at him in surprise, wondering why he had co back.
Jiang Yu replied, "You haven’t eaten anything this morning, you must be hungry. I bought you sothing to eat," then turned to the two little ones, "Are you hungry too? Co, join Mom and eat together."
"That’s not necessary, Aunt Wei Yi already took us to eat," said Shen Yan, then urged Shen Tan, "Mom, you should eat quickly! You’ll get better faster if you eat up."
