If they had truly wanted to invite her, they wouldn’t have waited until she left the office without ntioning it to her.

Clearly, these people never intended to invite her from the start.

She decided not to join in on the fuss!

ng Qiao looked at her, with an air of difficulty and earnestness in her tone trying to persuade her, "Weiyi, we’re all colleagues here. Don’t you think you’re being a bit unsociable? Co with us. I know you might not be very good at interacting with colleagues normally. But everyone is really nice, and this is a perfect opportunity to get closer to them."

Shen Weiyi said, "I ca here to work, not to network with colleagues."

ng Qiao couldn’t help but choke for a mont, then forced a polite yet awkward smile, "That’s not entirely true either. We’re newcors, and we often depend on the support of our seniors. Since everyone is so enthusiastic, it wouldn’t hurt to get along with them."

Her counterpart spoke with sincerity, seemingly with Weiyi’s best interests at heart, as if her refusal to go would be ignorant.

"Qiaoqiao, if she doesn’t want to go, then let it be!" At this, a few colleagues walked up behind her, their gazes towards Shen Weiyi clearly filled with discontent, "Don’t make it seem like we’re begging her."

"Yeah, we’ll go without her."

"Exactly. An intern acting like she’s more important than us regular employees. People who don’t know any better might think she owns the company!"

"Nowadays, interns don’t even have the basic respect for seniors. She’s no comparison to you, Qiaoqiao. I really don’t know how such a person passed the interview and got into Shen Family."

"So what if she got into Shen Family? She’s just an intern. It’s not even certain if she’ll be hired on permanently."

Everyone spoke one after the other, clearly excluding Shen Weiyi.

Between their words, there was much jeering.

Shen Weiyi looked on coldly, neither explaining nor arguing.

Sheng Ting furrowed his brows, then suddenly felt a hand grip his palm. He looked down, and the person gave him a reassuring look.

Considering they were at Shen Family, on her own turf, there was no need to worry about her being bullied.

He didn’t know what the girl was planning to do, but she seed to have her own strategies.

So he chose to remain silent.

ng Qiao glanced at Shen Weiyi, surprised by her ability to keep her composure, then said with a smile, "Don’t say that. I think Weiyi didn’t an any disrespect. Maybe she’s just not good at expressing herself."

"Qiaoqiao, don’t speak up for her," said female colleague number one as she glared at Shen Weiyi. "So people are just ungrateful. You’re helping her, but she may not appreciate it."

Female colleague number two said, "That’s right, you’re also new here, but you’re much more considerate than she is."

Female colleague number three added, "Exactly. Not everyone is as kind-hearted and modestly polite as you are. I think so people just lack upbringing. If she looks down on us, we really shouldn’t bother inviting her."

"..."

ng Qiao furrowed her brows, her expression one of difficulty, then she spoke, "Weiyi, are you really not going to join us?"

"No," said Shen Weiyi. From beginning to end, her attitude was resolute, and she didn’t feel embarrassed or apologetic because of their provocations.

ng Qiao looked at her and couldn’t help but feel a bit inquisitive. Where did this little intern get her confidence from?
