Jiang Zhiyi slept through three entire evening self-study periods. The mont the bell rang for the end of class, he yanked off the school uniform on his head and, grabbing his backpack, was the first to leave the classroom.

It made one wonder if he really had been sleeping during those three periods.

As usual, Jiang Zhiyi waited at the staircase landing and imdiately spotted that girl coming out of the classroom. However, thinking of that girl’s warning, he didn’t dare to approach, simply silently following her when she passed by him.

Qin Zhen couldn’t help but turn her head to look when she saw this and then leaned in to whisper to Shen Weiyi, "What’s the situation with you two? Haven’t you made up yet?"

Shen Weiyi rely "Hmm’d" and said no more.

Qin Zhen, seeing that she didn’t want to talk about it, didn’t press the matter further.

From the dim morning light to the twinkling stars, the day’s exhausted students squeezed towards the school gates like sardines.

Shen Weiyi’s previous school didn’t have evening self-study, so on just the first day of transferring she felt the pressure of the new school. The students here studied much harder than those at her previous school.

Jiang Zhiyi slung his backpack over one shoulder and silently followed soone all the way to the school gate.

His pocket vibrated continually with the sound of incoming ssages, but he ignored it. Only after watching the familiar figure get into a car parked by the roadside did he look away, taking out his mobile phone from his pocket to answer a call while turning and walking towards the school’s bicycle parking area.

"Brother, where are you? Why haven’t you co out yet?" Xu Chenxi stood in front of the senior third-grade teaching building, watching almost everyone from inside leave, yet she still hadn’t seen him.

After making several phone calls, she finally got through.

Jiang Zhiyi’s familiar voice ca from the other end of the call, "I’ve already gone ho. You can take the bus back by yourself. Also, don’t wait for after school anymore."

"Okay, I got it!" Xu Chenxi pursed her lips, a complex emotion flickering in her eyes.

"Xixi, how is it, has your brother co out yet?" The girl who was waiting with her asked imdiately when she saw Xu Chenxi put down her phone.

Xu Chenxi lifted her head to respond, "He’s already gone back. Let’s go."

"Ah?"

The girl showed a disappointed look upon hearing this. She had particularly waited there with her, hoping to see him more since he was the handsost guy in their school.

But seeing her friend looking dejected, she quickly adopted an indignant tone, "How could he do that? Leaving his sister to go ho alone. He’s really not living up to being a brother."

"Maybe he’s afraid soone will misunderstand!" Xu Chenxi bowed her head, a picture of aggrieved sadness and sorrow.

The girl blinked, perplexed, "But you’re siblings, what’s there to misunderstand? Besides, everyone in the school knows about your relationship, who would have a misunderstanding?"

Xu Chenxi tugged at her lips, forcing a smile, "Maybe for my brother, that person is more important!"

"That very important person, who are they?" Her gossip curiosity imdiately piqued.

Xu Chenxi showed a distressed expression.

"Can’t you even tell ?" The girl grew even more curious.

Xu Chenxi said, "It’s not that I can’t say, it’s that my brother’s ex-girlfriend transferred to our school."

"Your brother’s ex-girlfriend? Really? But since she’s an ex, that ans they’ve broken up, so why does your brother care if she misunderstands or not?"

"She transferred to our school for my brother, probably hoping to get back with him," Xu Chenxi pursed her lips, her tone suggesting she was guessing, "And I think my brother might still like her a little."
