"Okay, I understand!" Shen Weiyi responded.

Jiang Zhiyi looked at her with a complex expression in his eyes; he knew that the girl was just dealing with him perfunctorily.

He knew her too well. She always wanted to solve everything by herself. Even when they were together in the past, she seldom sought his help, and now, he feared, even less so.

Knowing that he did not believe her, Shen Weiyi added, "I can still handle it for now. If I really need help, I’ll let you know."

Even though she said this, Shen Weiyi never actually thought about seeking his help.

There was no need to rekindle emotions that had been difficult to let go of.

Since they couldn’t be friends, it was best to keep their distance like they were doing now, not eting or contacting each other, and forgetting each other in their separate worlds.

Jiang Zhiyi saw the fatigue on her face and, having said what he needed to say, felt there was no reason to stay any longer. He said, "Then you rest well, I’m going back now."

"Okay!" Shen Weiyi nodded.

Jiang Zhiyi turned and left the courtyard he had once entered uncountable tis.

Every flower, every plant, and every tree here bore his mark, but it was no longer a place he could freely enter or leave.

Watching him leave, Shen Weiyi then turned to Sheng Ting behind her and said, "Don’t get wrong, we haven’t seen each other for a long ti."

"I know!" Sheng Ting said as he patted her head, "Go up and rest, I’m heading back now." Everyone has a past, and he was the newcor in hers. Although he regretted not being part of her past, he would certainly not miss out on her future.

"Won’t you co in and sit?" Shen Weiyi looked up at him.

Sheng Ting looked at her, and said gently, "Next ti, you’re tired too, go back and rest early."

But Shen Weiyi held onto his sleeve and said, "But I want you to stay with ."

Sheng Ting looked down at her, his eyes gentle and clear, "Okay." Then he took her hand, and they walked together toward the villa.

As Jiang Zhiyi walked away, he turned around and saw the two of them entering the villa together.

Shortly after, he averted his gaze, ready to leave, when suddenly a voice called out, "Brother, you’re back? When did you get here? Why don’t you co ho?"

It was Xu Chenxi.

Jiang Zhiyi coldly glanced at her and said, "I didn’t co back to see you all." With that, he turned to leave.

Xu Chenxi caught up to him, blocking his path and said, "Even if you don’t want to see , don’t you want to see Uncle Jiang? It’s been a long ti since you’ve been ho. Uncle Jiang might not say it, but I can tell he misses you."

"No need, you three enjoy your lives!" Jiang Zhiyi said without turning back and walked away.

He had long since lost any attachnt to that ho, and here too, there was no reason for him to stay.

Xu Chenxi watched his retreating figure, her lips tightly pressed together, a flicker of pain and resentnt in her eyes.

Why, after so long, have you still not let go of her?

She clearly doesn’t want you anymore, so why do you still think about her?

In this world, besides Shen Weiyi, is there really no one else worth a second glance from you?

Why, after all I’ve done for you, do you still refuse to spare a second look?

Then she turned her head toward the Shen Family’s direction, her gaze carrying a mix of disgust and a trace of pleasure.

She had heard about Shen Juanzhi’s troubles; for many years, she had been high and mighty, never considering anyone else, rely relying on having a good father.

Now without a mother and a father, let’s see how long she can remain proud.
