Shen Weiyi t the other person’s gaze, feeling sowhat at a loss.
But she saw Sheng Ting suddenly lean in, causing Shen Weiyi’s heart to imdiately jump, unconsciously clutching her hands tight.
The next second, she saw him take away a delicately packaged gift box from in front of the passenger seat, and as he straightened up, he didn’t forget to remind her, "Fasten your seatbelt."
"Oh, okay!" Shen Weiyi nodded blankly, not knowing what she was feeling nervous about in that instant.
She couldn’t possibly think that he was going to do sothing to her, could she?
She then chuckled to herself for overthinking it.
In his eyes now, she might not even qualify as a regular friend.
The gift box was carelessly tossed onto the back seat by Sheng Ting. Shen Weiyi glanced at it inadvertently; it was wrapped with care—an obvious gift from a girl. Then she noticed a pink crystal ornant had been added to the center console.
Shen Weiyi had ridden in his car many tis before. He liked things simple and had no extra decorations in his car, but now there was an out-of-character ornant.
Clearly, sothing a girl would like.
So, did he have a girlfriend now?
Shen Weiyi couldn’t help but turn her head to look at him.
It was unexpected yet sohow not; after all, a year had passed, and it wouldn’t be strange if he had really started dating a new girlfriend.
A sense of sourness welled up in her heart unguardedly.
She had thought he would be too busy with his experints abroad to have ti for a new girlfriend.
It seed she had been too presumptuous!
After breaking up, she thought she would get over it quickly, just like before. She had studied hard throughout the year, thinking she had moved on, but at the mont she saw him, she realized that she couldn’t keep her composure upon their reunion.
Her heart raced at his appearance.
She was nervous and at a loss.
It was a completely different state of mind than when she had first seen Jiang Zhiyi after their breakup.
She thought she had moved on, but it turned out that she might not have.
But it was she who had initiated the breakup, and it seed he already had a girlfriend.
Shen Weiyi quietly clenched her fingertips and averted her gaze.
Unconsciously, the car had stopped in front of the dormitory building.
Getting out of his car, Shen Weiyi stared at it for a while before turning to go upstairs.
It wasn’t long after returning to her dorm that she saw a ssage from Qin Zhen: "How are things between you two?"
"What do you an how are things?"
"Of course, I’m talking about you and Senior Sheng. He drove you back; did anything happen between you two?" One could feel the other’s gossip-thirsty heart throbbing through the phone screen.
"Nothing!"
When Sheng Ting dropped her off at the dorm building, he simply left in his car, and there was almost no communication between them the whole ti. Except for when he said "We’re here" as they reached the dorm, and she said "Thank you."
That was it.
"What about you? Did seeing Senior Sheng again bring back any feelings?"
"We’ve broken up; what feelings could there be? Besides, he seems to have a girlfriend."
"Wait, I’ll go ask around for you."
After reading it, Shen Weiyi tossed her phone aside and went to take a shower.
After the shower, she found another ssage on her phone: "Shen Jingqi, that guy, wouldn’t say anything, but I think he definitely knows sothing. I’ll tell you once I find out."
Shen Weiyi glanced at it, closed her phone, and took out textbooks for her new major to start studying.
She had classes in the finance departnt the next day and was worried about falling behind...
