Shen Weiyi’s gaze had swept over the model without much care as they left.

The car quickly arrived at the Sheng Family ho, where Shen Jingqi was standing at the entrance.

"Why are you here too?" Shen Weiyi got out of the car and greeted him when she saw him.

"I’m here to freeload a al," Shen Jingqi said unabashedly. His gaze then flitted back and forth between the two people, "Does this count as eting the parents?"

"Aunt Jing doesn’t know about us yet, so don’t say anything when you go in," Shen Weiyi warned him sternly.

"Fine, I promise I won’t spill the beans." Shen Jingqi made a zipping motion across his mouth, but his mischievous smile quickly returned as he looked at Shen Weiyi and said, "Are you two playing at a secret romance? Could it be because you’re afraid Aunt Jing won’t like you?"

Shen Weiyi: "Don’t make random guesses like a little kid."

"You’re only one year older than , you know?" Shen Jingqi looked at her contemptuously, as if she were much older than he was.

Shen Weiyi: "Although it’s only a year’s difference, between us there is the difference between an adult and a minor. Do you know what that one-word difference signifies? It signifies we have different capacities for action, different rights. It signifies that your ntal and physical developnt isn’t complete, so you should listen to your elder sister and do whatever she tells you to, OK?"

Shen Jingqi: ...

He couldn’t co up with a retort and turned his head towards Sheng Ting: "Aren’t you going to intervene?"

Sheng Ting had just locked the car door and, upon hearing this, glanced in Shen Weiyi’s direction with a smile, "Be good, listen to your sister-in-law."

Feeling like he had just been force-fed dog food, Shen Jingqi shut his mouth.

As soon as Situ Jing saw Shen Weiyi enter, she called out, "Co try and see if Aunt Jing’s cooking skills have deteriorated?" It turned out she had just finished baking a tray of pastries.

Before Shen Weiyi could speak, a sullen voice ca from behind her: "Aunt Jing, how co you never ask about ?"

Situ Jing said with a smile, "You child, coming to Aunt Jing’s house is just like being at your own. Do you really need a special invitation from Aunt Jing?"

That seed about right!

Situ Jing handed them the pastries and said, "Okay, you young people go and entertain yourselves. I’ll prepare lunch for you; I’ll cook it myself as a treat."

"Aunt Jing, let help you," Shen Weiyi said as she walked towards the kitchen.

"No need, no need," Situ Jing pushed her out of the kitchen, "You youngsters go play, leave the kitchen work to ." She then leaned in close to Shen Weiyi’s ear and whispered, "You could go and check in Sheng Ting’s room, I saw that boy being all secretive; he must have been preparing a gift for you."

Shen Weiyi looked over, surprised.

The other party winked at her.

Shen Weiyi’s cheeks inexplicably began to heat up as she was ushered out of the kitchen.

"What’s wrong?" Sheng Ting saw her unusual complexion and couldn’t help but ask.

Shen Weiyi tried to control the warmth in her cheeks and looked up at him, "Aunt Jing said that you prepared a gift for ?"

Sheng Ting couldn’t help but smile; he didn’t know how his mother had guessed he had prepared a gift, but it was a serendipitous hit. "Co with ," he said, looking down at Shen Weiyi.

Sheng Ting took her back to his room and handed her a small box, "Open it and see."

"What is this?" Shen Weiyi asked curiously.

"It’s a mini power bank. Don’t be fooled by its small size; it has a capacity of 30,000 mAh, which can ensure at least three days of battery life for your phone. With this, you can charge your phone anyti and no longer have to be afraid of the dark," Sheng Ting explained.

Shen Weiyi looked at the object in her hands in surprise.
