Shen Weiyi stared at it for a while, and the more she looked, the more satisfied she beca. In the end, she took a screenshot and sent it to Sheng Ting.

On the other side, Sheng Ting was also looking at the photos on his phone, but after a long ti, he realized they were all of that brat and that girl together. There wasn’t even a single photo of just the two of them.

It seed that next ti he should not bring that brat along.

He couldn’t help but laugh when he saw the picture Shen Weiyi sent over.

He then picked a photo of that girl alone from the pile and set it as his wallpaper.

After staring at it for a while, he finally put down his phone and went into the bathroom.

Shen Weiyi slept soundly through the night and woke up to find Shen Juanzhi was actually at ho.

She walked over and sat down across from Shen Juanzhi. The aunt saw her coming down from upstairs and hurriedly brought her breakfast.

"Did you go to the old house the day before yesterday?" Shen Juanzhi put down the magazine in his hand and looked at her.

"Yeah!" Despite rarely returning to the old house these past two years, on special occasions like the Mid-Autumn Festival and New Year’s Eve, Mr. Shen would always send soone to call them back. Given it was only once or twice a year, neither wanted to have an ugly confrontation with the old house on such days, so they usually went.

This ti, because of an urgent matter at the company, Shen Juanzhi did not make a special trip back.

However, he could guess that with that girl there alone, the people at the old house would certainly give her a hard ti.

"Did Mr. Shen say sothing to you?" Just by looking at his daughter’s expression, he knew that her trip to the old house must have been unpleasant.

"Mr. Shen wants to persuade you to rge the company into the Shen Family. He thinks a girl like shouldn’t accept those shares, but I refused," Shen Weiyi said casually while eating her breakfast.

Mr. Shen didn’t like her, sothing she had known for a long ti, so she wasn’t particularly disappointed.

It was just that sotis, she couldn’t help but care a little.

It was her problem, not having adjusted her mindset properly, but she wouldn’t let it happen again.

"This ans he still hasn’t given up."

Shen Juanzhi wasn’t surprised by Mr. Shen’s actions; after all, the man had never changed over the years. In his eyes, there were only interests. Father-son relationships, family bonds—none of it was as important as the interests right in front of him.

"Don’t go next ti if it makes you unhappy. I’m working so hard to make money because I want you to be happy. You don’t have to make yourself miserable for anyone else, not even if it’s my own father." He wouldn’t stand to see the daughter he had raised with so much effort be slighted by anyone else. Not even Heaven’s Emperor would be an exception.

Shen Weiyi looked at him, and sotis she wondered, did he really not regret leaving the Shen Family? Even though he had lived outside with her all these years, insisting on not moving back, Shen Weiyi knew it was all for her.

That man was still his father, and that place was his ho where he grew up, so he undoubtedly had different feelings for it.

So even though she would be unhappy every ti they went, for Shen Juanzhi’s sake, she still went each ti.

"I’m just afraid you might regret it later." After all, Mr. Shen was getting older, and Shen Weiyi didn’t want Shen Juanzhi to be in a difficult position, nor did she want him to have any regrets later on.

Shen Juanzhi looked at her and said, "Kids should act like kids. Don’t overthink things all the ti. I really don’t have any nostalgia for that place." His relationship with Mr. Shen wasn’t as deep as she thought.

Not every father loved their children the way he did, and not every person deserved to be called a father.
