Shen Weiyi rejected the offer too quickly, and the atmosphere suddenly beca sowhat weird.
The two fell into an awkward silence.
Finally, it was Shen Weiyi who cleared her throat, her gaze landing on the lab coat in his hand as she stiffly changed the subject, "I’m fine, but you ran out here so hastily, is that okay?"
Sheng Ting’s gaze rested on her face, and after staring at her for a mont, he said, "It’s okay, I’ll just explain the situation to the professor later."
"Actually, I can take care of it myself, plus, I have soone with ," Shen Weiyi said, glancing at the girl next to her.
She always felt that before giving a response, she should not continue to accept his kindness.
The girl next to her looked bewilderedly at the suddenly appearing Sheng Ting, then at Shen Weiyi, and when she noticed both of their gazes on her, she blinked before she quickly realized and nodded vigorously, "Don’t worry, I will definitely take good care of Shen."
After saying this and seeing Sheng Ting’s gaze still on her, she, for the first ti being stared at by a handso guy, did not feel her heart race or cheeks flush but rather an indescribable pressure.
It felt like her presence there was superfluous, and suddenly an idea ca to her, which made her quickly change her words, "Well, I think it might be better to have a guy with you, so why don’t you let this senior accompany you?" After she finished speaking, afraid of being misunderstood, she hastily added, "Don’t worry, I will reimburse you for your dical expenses since I caused the injury."
Shen Weiyi didn’t initially an it that way, but seeing the other person had already said so, she could only respond, "Then, please tell the instructor for ."
"Sure, sure," the girl nodded repeatedly, "Then I’ll take my leave first." She felt that every second she stayed made her seem more superfluous.
A few steps away, she suddenly rembered sothing and ran back to Shen Weiyi, "Oh, the taxi’s license plate ends in 859, and also, can we add each other on WeChat first, so I can transfer the dical expenses to you later?"
"No need!" Shen Weiyi responded, "It was not intentional."
"I must give it to you," the girl insisted firmly.
Shen Weiyi had no choice but to pull out her phone, and since she couldn’t operate it well with one hand, she handed it to Sheng Ting, saying, "Could you help add her?"
Sheng Ting opened WeChat and imdiately saw his own account at the top.
The note beside it read: Little Bao Brother.
Sheng Ting’s lips unconsciously pursed for a mont before he discreetly shifted his gaze, opened the QR code, and finished adding the girl as a friend. After that, she waved to Shen Weiyi and left first.
"Let’s go!" Sheng Ting passed the phone back to Shen Weiyi.
Shen Weiyi couldn’t shake the feeling that his mood seed to have changed.
She sneaked a glance at Sheng Ting and, from her angle, could see his tight lips and clenched jawline.
Could it be that he was unhappy because she had just refused him?
"You..." Shen Weiyi started to speak but then didn’t know how to continue.
"What’s wrong?" Sheng Ting turned his head to look at her.
Shen Weiyi pursed her lips and shook her head.
Seeing her hesitate, Sheng Ting stopped and his gaze landed on her hand, "Does it hurt?"
His look softened as he gazed at her.
"If it hurts, you can tell , and it’s okay to cry," he said.
His voice was deep, yet filled with tenderness.
