When I returned to the dormitory in the evening, Qin Ruo gave a fierce stare as soon as I walked in. Then, she got up and went to the bathroom, deliberately slamming the door so it echoed loudly.
"What’s with her again?" Fang Jing and Yan Xiaoyue couldn’t help but exchange glances before finally turning to look in Shen Weiyi’s direction.
Shen Weiyi said, "It’s nothing. She’s probably just in a bad mood."
The two of them didn’t take it too seriously.
But the very next second, they saw Qin Ruo storming out of the bathroom and striding up to Shen Weiyi, demanding, "What’s your relationship with Sheng Ting?"
"You know Sheng Ting?"
Shen Weiyi looked at her in surprise, initially thinking that she was simply being captivated on a whim, but now it seed that wasn’t the case.
"Don’t worry about whether I know him or not. Just tell , what exactly is your relationship with him?" Qin Ruo pressed aggressively.
"I don’t think I need to answer you." Shen Weiyi suddenly felt that her previous thoughts were incorrect. Although the other person seed not too bright and she wasn’t afraid of what she might do, her constant pestering was pretty annoying.
Qin Ruo scoffed, "It seems you two are not yet together, that’s good. I’m officially letting you know that he’s the man I have my eyes on. You better not compete with for him."
"Don’t worry, if he’s yours nobody can take him away, but if he’s not, you couldn’t get him even if you tried."
Back when I was with Jiang Zhiyi, I’d often co across girls running over to throw down challenges. Generally, when I encountered this sort of person, I wouldn’t take them seriously at all.
Besides, my relationship with Sheng Ting wasn’t like that.
However, I did find it pretty impressive that, after being so publicly snubbed by Sheng Ting just before, she hadn’t given up.
My indifferent tone angered Qin Ruo. She felt I was looking down on her, thinking she wouldn’t be successful. "Hmph, just wait, I will definitely win him over." Having dropped her fierce words, she returned to the bathroom.
As soon as Qin Ruo left, Fang Jing popped her head out from behind the bed canopy and said, "Is she talking about the handso guy we just t on the sports field?"
"Yep!" Shen Weiyi replied with a sound.
Fang Jing imdiately sat up straight, and even Yan Xiaoyue put down what she was doing to co over. Four eyes gleaming with heavy gossip stared at and said, "Are you two dating?"
"No!"
"I think that handso guy is quite nice and, most importantly, he is so good-looking. This could be developed further. You must seize the chance and try to win him over," Fang Jing said earnestly.
Yan Xiaoyue nodded vigorously in agreent and glanced towards the bathroom before lowering her voice, "It would be such a waste if soone else got him!"
After saying that, the three of us winked at each other and started giggling.
Shen Weiyi then pulled out three pieces of mille-feuille cake and said, "I brought these so you guys wouldn’t get hungry later. Choose whichever flavor you like."
"Wow, Yiyi, aren’t you the best?" Fang Jing’s eyes lit up, and she almost wanted to jump down and hug saying, "How much? I’ll transfer it to you later."
"No need. It wasn’t much," Shen Weiyi said with a smile.
Fang Jing didn’t stand on ceremony and picked a piece of the chocolate mousse, grinning at , "Then I’ll treat you to lunch tomorrow."
Yan Xiaoyue quickly chid in, "Then I’ll treat you to dinner tomorrow." As she spoke, she picked out a matcha red bean flavored one.
"Sure!" Shen Weiyi left the last piece, strawberry mille-feuille, on the table, planning to save it for a late-night snack.
