After a few more exchanges, Leng Xuan hung up the phone and headed towards the school gate. However, at this mont, he ran into Gao Jun, who was accompanied by a tall and slim young man with strikingly handso features. The two of them walked side by side as if they were engaged in a conversation.

Unintentionally, Leng Xuan heard Gao Jun ntion ’Tang Mo’ and imdiately frowned, recalled the incident with Huang Xiaojun. The last ti Huang Xiaojun had hired an assassin from the Green Dragon Society to kill him, through Huang Xiaojun’s own admission, it was Tang Mo who had given him the contact information. If he hadn’t seen Tang Mo again, he might have forgotten about it by now.

What puzzled Leng Xuan was that he didn’t seem to have any grudge against Tang Mo! Although he had heard of Tang Mo’s reputation in the school, they had never been acquainted. Why would Tang Mo help Huang Xiaojun to go against him? Leng Xuan felt sowhat headachy—how could a small school have so many complex relationships?

Regardless, since Tang Mo was clearly ill-intentioned towards him, he definitely needed to investigate the reason behind it; otherwise, he might be caught off guard and baffled by an unsuspected attack.

Collecting his thoughts, Leng Xuan walked towards the classroom. However, when he arrived at the entrance of class 12 of senior year three, he found Xiao Yun standing in the corridor outside the classroom, her gaze fixed on the staircase, evidently waiting for him. Indeed, as soon as he appeared, Xiao Yun imdiately ca forward to et him.

Leng Xuan smiled and said, "Xiao Yun, why are you here? Shouldn’t you be heading back to the classroom since class is about to start?"

Xiao Yun, her cheeks tinged with a faint blush, perhaps because of the covert kiss the night before or so other reason, held up the lunchbox in her hand and said, "I made this myself to thank you for saving my life last night. You must accept it."

Seeing this, Leng Xuan didn’t refuse, taking the lunchbox into his hands, and shook his head, "You don’t need to be so polite. Although we haven’t spent much ti together, I’ve always regarded you as a sister. So, please don’t keep saying ’thank you’ all the ti."

Upon hearing the word ’sister’, Xiao Yun’s expression turned to one of imnse disappointnt, her eyes becoming moist. However, she quickly masked her emotions and forced a smile, "I understand."

"Right," Leng Xuan reminded, "Please don’t ntion anything about what happened last night to anyone. Otherwise, it might invite more trouble. I’m not worried for myself, but I’m concerned that you might be in danger when you’re alone."

"Don’t worry," Xiao Yun nodded, "I got it. I’ll go to class now."

"Alright," Leng Xuan said with a smile as he nodded.

Just as Xiao Yun turned and started walking away, Leng Xuan suddenly rembered sothing and called out to her. He quickly caught up to her and said, "I told you last night, don’t go to that clothing store anymore. If you’re looking for a job or a part-ti position, I happen to know a place I can recomnd."

"Really?" Xiao Yun asked with interest, "What job? Is it suitable for ?"

Leng Xuan nodded and replied, "Yes, a leisure center."

At this, Xiao Yun’s expression changed dramatically, and she looked at Leng Xuan with surprise, filled with confusion. She had just narrowly escaped from the leisure center the night before. Why would Leng Xuan suggest she go to the leisure center again? Was he implying she should beco... that? With this thought, a chill ran through her.
