"What a big talker you are," the plainclothes officer sneered coldly. "If you ss things up, can you bear the responsibility? Captain Wan, I can’t trust a little brat, and besides, rescuing people is our duty in the first place. It’s not for an outsider to overstep their bounds. This would be a joke if it got out. Anyway, I won’t allow him to disrupt our plan."

The man known as Captain Wan was the person in charge of tonight’s operation; he commanded all these people. He hesitated for a mont before saying, "This isn’t quite right. After all, it’s an order directly from Commander Su not to interfere, just to be responsible for the periter defense."

"Hmph! Even Commander Su makes mistakes. Captain Wan, I’d better give Captain Su a call." With that, the plainclothes officer dialed the phone. "Hello! Commander Su, this is Wu Ming. About that kid nad Leng Xuan that you ntioned before, I don’t quite trust his ability to handle this incident. Let us take over. We’ve made thorough plans and preparations and can strike at any mont."

"Leave it to you?" Su Zhenggang’s deep voice ca through, "Didn’t I make myself clear? All you need to do is prevent the public from entering the mountain. Don’t handle anything else. Leng Xuan will take care of it."

Wu Ming still refused to give up, saying, "But, Commander Su, he’s just a youngster. How can he possibly handle it well? If sothing goes wrong, who will be responsible?"

"I have made it very clear to you that no one apart from Leng Xuan can get this done. If you go, it would be a death sentence." Su Zhenggang’s tone clearly contained anger; he was well aware of the horror of an Internal Arts Master—they had surpassed the limits of the ordinary world. Even sending dozens or hundreds of people to capture the perpetrator might not succeed. The only way was to let an Internal Arts Master of the sa caliber confront them; then there might be a glimr of hope.

After hanging up, Wu Ming said resentfully, "I don’t know what got into Commander Su."

Seeing this, Captain Wan knew Wu Ming had failed to persuade him, so he said to Leng Xuan, "Go ahead and be careful. If you can’t handle it, pull out imdiately. We’ll be here to back you up."

Leng Xuan nodded. During the ti Wu Ming had been on the phone, he had already covertly sensed the aura of Flower Butterfly and roughly pinpointed the direction in which the other party had headed into the mountain. Thus, as soon as Captain Wan finished speaking, Leng Xuan moved, his figure darting into Tieling Mountain like a gust of wind.

Watching Leng Xuan’s agile moves and swift speed, Captain Wan couldn’t help but click his tongue in admiration. This kid was really sothing; no wonder Commander Su held him in such high regard. It would be hard to find anyone with such skills among the police officers of Baiyun City. Captain Wan then snuck a glance at Wu Ming and saw his face was full of displeasure, obviously because his contempt had just been sharply rebuffed.

Amidst the Tieling Mountain, trees were sporadically spread, lush and dense, with nurous boulders and mounds of earth protruding. Leng Xuan moved swiftly, following the direction he had chosen.

At that mont, in an opening surrounded by ancient trees deep within the mountain, Zhou Li lay unconscious on the ground, and beside her was the Flower Thief, Flower Butterfly.

Flower Butterfly looked at his phone, his gaze wandering through the surrounding trees. From the phone call he had just received, he knew that soone must have traced his tracks. Thinking this, he couldn’t help but curse Huang Xiaojun inwardly; it must have been this guy who spilled the beans about him kidnapping Zhou Li.
