Ling Xuejiu’s eyes widened. She initially wanted to deny it, but Luo Shuixi’s following words left her with no room for rebuttal.
The events of yesterday were orchestrated by her, having Leng Xuan confront Wang Shuze, although the sneak-attack wasn’t her intention. Still, ultimately, she couldn’t escape responsibility. It had not occurred to her that, despite the distance, she had not managed to evade Luo Shuixi’s watchful eye. In the car, Li ngjie seed to be pondering sothing and had remained silent. Ling Xuejiu, feeling irked, couldn’t help but slap her lightly, saying, "Hey, silly girl, what are you thinking about, to be so lost in thought!"
"Ah!" Li ngjie suddenly snapped out of it, then with a grin said, "Xue Jiu, have you ever thought about why Luo Shuixi wants to look into Cold Bodyguard’s affairs?"
Ling Xuejiu rolled her eyes, saying, "How should I know?" Although in her mind she was thinking, ’That’s sothing only a dimwit like you couldn’t figure out. She’s obviously looking to cause him trouble!’
With a mysterious air, Li ngjie said, "I think there’s sothing fishy going on here."
