Ling Xuejiu and Li ngjie exchanged a glance. They were not strangers to Leng Xuan’s rumored girlfriend, Zhou Li, and never expected her to co looking for Leng Xuan during class ti, which imdiately left them with a bad taste in their mouths.
Li ngjie, however, maintained a giggly appearance and lowered her voice, "Xue Jiu, what do you think Zhou Li is looking for the Cold Bodyguard for?"
With a twist of her mouth, Ling Xuejiu replied irritably, "How would I know? If you want to know, ask Leng Xuan yourself."
"..."
"He’s not here? That’s interrupting Teacher Wang’s class," Zhou Li paused, then gently shut the door. Just then, a familiar voice behind her spoke, "Are you looking for ?"
The mont Zhou Li heard this voice, her body trembled slightly. She turned around sharply, only to see Leng Xuan standing behind her with a trace of a smile on his face. She stuttered slightly, a weight lifted from her heart, "You... are you all right?"
"Uh?" Leng Xuan seed a bit puzzled. Why would this girl co running to his class looking for him so unexpectedly? Could she think sothing had happened to him? He touched his nose and smiled wryly, "Do I look like I’m in trouble?"
Zhou Li pouted, seeming a bit wronged. She then recounted what Huang Xiaojun had told her before adding, "Since you’re fine, I’m relieved. But, you should still be careful. I’m worried that Huang Xiaojun might cause so trouble for you."
Upon hearing Zhou Li’s words, Leng Xuan felt a touch of emotion stirring in his heart. But outwardly, he sported a grin, "So you’re actually this concerned about ?"
"Ah?" Zhou Li’s face turned red, her eyes cast a resentful glare at Leng Xuan. Was he really joking at a ti like this? The thought that Leng Xuan had never really cared about her prompted her to treat his words as flippant, and she felt indignant, replying expressionlessly, "Don’t flatter yourself. You’ve helped ti and again in the past, and you even cured my brother’s leg. I just feel like I owe you a lot, which is why I ca to warn you after what Huang Xiaojun said. It’s nothing more than that."
Leng Xuan hadn’t expected that Zhou Li, who had looked so concerned monts ago, would suddenly put on a stern face. He was a bit perplexed. Touching his nose, he said, "Okay, I got it. Anyway, thank you. Oh, right, don’t you have my phone number? Couldn’t you have just called about this stuff instead of coming here in person?"
"Consider it a small favor returned. You don’t need to thank . As for your phone number, I accidentally deleted it last ti," Zhou Li said, feigning strength, but inwardly feeling quite down, almost to the point of tears. Then she added, "I’ve said what I wanted to say; you just be careful. I’m heading back to class." She finished speaking and left without looking back, her slender and tall figure looking sowhat fragile and evoking a protective urge in others.
Leng Xuan touched his nose, wondering if he had sohow offended the girl. Why did her gaze seem to hold a trace of resentnt?
Shaking his head, Leng Xuan gave up trying to understand and didn’t continue thinking about it. He pushed open the door, walked into his own classroom, and returned to his seat. Suddenly, he received a text from Li ngjie: "Cold Bodyguard, what did Zhou Li want with you?"
