Leng Xuan had felt a persistent emptiness in his heart since Su Yurou decided to leave, and whatever Gao Jun said to him seed to fall on deaf ears.
Gao Jun furrowed his brows slightly. With his prideful nature, it was the first ti in his life he had condescended to apologize to soone. He hadn’t expected Leng Xuan to outright ignore him.
Gao Xu had just suffered a significant loss, and yet his second older cousin had remained silent, brewing with anger inside. Seeing how Leng Xuan seed to disdain his second cousin’s apology, and with his second cousin getting angry as well, Gao Xu felt a gleeful spark inside. In his view, his second cousin was a taekwondo master, and there were few in the school who could match him, except for Tang Mo and Wang Shuze. But due to his status, he had never bothered to raise his hand against Leng Xuan. If he could provoke him into teaching Leng Xuan a lesson, then Leng Xuan would just have to take the beating, and that would indirectly be revenge for himself, wouldn’t it?
With these thoughts, Gao Xu fanned the flas in Gao Jun’s ear, "Second cousin, what does this guy an? He’s treating what you said as if it’s nothing? Hmph, since when have we, the Gao Family, been looked down upon by others like this?"
As expected, Gao Jun’s expression darkened. He knew his cousin was deliberately stirring up trouble, but he couldn’t deny that there was so truth to his words. Su Yurou shook her head. She was never good at lying, so she interrupted Gao Jun directly, "Gao Jun, I really just see you as a friend. Please don’t misunderstand." She sighed, then suddenly stood up and said to Leng Xuan, "Brother Leng Xuan, I want to go back to school now. Could you take ?"
Leng Xuan humd in affirmation. With the two brothers Gao Jun around, his coffee was undrinkable today anyway, so he nodded and turned to leave with Su Yurou, just as they happened to run into Chen Shanshan bringing over the coffee. She looked slightly flustered and said, "Mr. Leng, are you and your friend leaving? You haven’t even had your coffee yet..."
Leng Xuan replied indifferently, "We’ll co back next ti. Should I pay for it?"
"Oh, it’s like that. Well, okay then. You’re a VIP here, and everything you consu is on the house." Chen Shanshan, in fact, had known that Gao Jun and Gao Xu had co to trouble Leng Xuan. But Gao Jun paid no heed to Gao Xu. He closed his eyes for a mont and then slowly opened them again. A flash of coldness briefly sparkled in his gaze as he took out his cellphone, flipped through the contacts to find Hua Hua, the spy he had planted by Su Yurou’s side, and then chose to make the call.
