"Boss, should we have so drinks?" Before Leng Xuan arrived at the school, Zhao Xiaotian had always been a good boy and hadn’t really drunk alcohol during school; now, seeing a few students at the next table raising their glasses and drinking rrily, he couldn’t help but want to drink so too.
Leng Xuan didn’t mind either way, but Zhao Xiaotian and Jack were still studying, and drinking could affect their studies, so he smiled ruefully and said, "Let’s forget it for now. How about we go for a drink on a holiday? What do you think?"
"Ha, I was waiting for you to say that, Boss." Zhao Xiaotian was a bit disappointed, but his spirits lifted imdiately after hearing what Leng Xuan said next, and he suggested eagerly, "Let’s pick a ti to go have fun at a bar together?"
"Brother Leng Xuan, bars are a bit chaotic, you’d better not go..." Su Yurou whispered a reminder from the side.
Leng Xuan was montarily taken aback, gave Su Yurou a glance, then just smiled and didn’t respond to the comnt. A short while later, the food arrived, and though it wasn’t as good as what Leng Xuan could make himself, it was still leagues better than the fast food in the big cafeteria. Leng Xuan, Zhao Xiaotian, and Jack all ate quite a bit, but Su Yurou ate very little; she just nibbled a bit and then put down her chopsticks, silently watching Leng Xuan eat.
"ngzhu, why aren’t you eating anymore?" Jack asked a bit sheepishly, "Is it because the food doesn’t taste good?"
"It’s not that, I usually eat only this much," Su Yurou answered with a smile.
Jack gave a sound of understanding, grinned, and didn’t say much else.
Zhao Xiaotian, the clever boy, noticed that ngzhu had been watching Boss eat the whole ti and stayed silent, probably realizing that he and Jack were being a ’light bulb’ and making her feel embarrassed. He then gave Jack a look, and the two guys hurriedly finished their al. Jack paid the bill and they both stood up to leave.
"Boss, Jack and I have finished eating. You take your ti, we’re going to review this morning’s lessons back in class. The college entrance exam is approaching and ti is really tight, so we won’t keep you company anymore. Ha ha!" After delivering his parting words, Zhao Xiaotian pulled Jack along and they left.
By now, Leng Xuan was also nearly done eating. He chuckled ruefully, clearly understanding what Zhao Xiaotian and Jack were implying. He looked at Su Yurou and said, "Yurou, I’ve also had enough. Shall we go?"
"Mhm!" As soon as Jack and Zhao Xiaotian had left, a shade of lancholy crept into Su Yurou’s eyes. She gave a forced smile and followed Leng Xuan out of the restaurant. Outside, they hailed a taxi from the school.
In the car, Su Yurou glanced at Leng Xuan and asked, "Brother Leng Xuan, where are we going?"
"Let’s head over to Bi Hai Yun Tian for a bit." Seeing that Su Yurou had sothing to say to him, and rembering their earlier agreent, Leng Xuan promptly told the driver, "To the school gate."
"Alrighty!" The driver responded and started driving away.
"Follow the car ahead." In another school taxi, Gao Jun and his cousin Gao Xu, who was still in his sophomore year, were about to take a taxi back to the classroom. Suddenly, they saw Su Yurou and Leng Xuan coming out of the hotel together, so Gao Jun instructed the driver to wait. After Su Yurou and Leng Xuan got into a taxi, Gao Jun, with a grim expression, told the driver to follow the car ahead.
With a face full of angry confusion, Gao Xu asked, "Second Cousin, who’s that guy? Why is sister-in-law with him?"
