After Li ngjie had finished her shower and co out, Ling Xuejiu was still standing dumbly in front of the bed, staring at the poster hanging above it.
"Xue Jiu, are you looking at your Prince Charming again?" Li ngjie said with a smile while rubbing her wet hair with a towel.
"What?" Ling Xuejiu snapped back to reality and retorted reflexively, "Silly girl, what are you talking about? Him, deserving to be my Prince Charming? Huh, that’s laughable!"
Li ngjie was taken aback, completely unaware of what had set Ling Xuejiu off, finding it a bit mystifying. She pouted and said, "Xue Jiu, what’s gotten into you? Haven’t you always liked Wang Shuze? Why suddenly hate him now? It’s really strange!"
Ling Xuejiu’s face turned red as she truly ca back to her senses. She had been looking at Wang Shuze, but sohow, she had started seeing Leng Xuan in him. That’s why when Li ngjie ntioned her Prince Charming, her first reaction was to take the Prince Charming as Leng Xuan, hence her anger.
Now that Li ngjie had asked this way, Ling Xuejiu was truly embarrassed to death, and she had no idea how to explain it properly. Was she supposed to tell Xiao Jie, this silly girl, that she wasn’t scolding Wang Shuze but Leng Xuan?
But she had clearly been looking at Wang Shuze. If Xiao Jie found out she had mistaken Wang Shuze for Leng Xuan, that would be laughable indeed!
Fortunately, Miss Ling, though not good at lying, was quite brazen. With a "Hmph! Mind your own business!" she brushed off Li ngjie’s question and headed off to take her shower...
Li ngjie playfully stuck out her tongue and said, "Really, as if she’s eaten an explosive!" She then casually glanced at the poster of the God of Wind Racing Team, observing Wang Shuze’s charming deanor. Although she found Wang Shuze handso, he seed to lack sothing compared to Leng Xuan. As for what that was, Li ngjie couldn’t quite put her finger on it.
The mont she thought of Leng Xuan, Li ngjie felt an unusual sensation in her heart. Although she tried hard to control certain thoughts she was aware of but refused to acknowledge, the rumor she’d heard today in school about Leng Xuan dating Zhou Li made her feel inexplicably suffocated. If it hadn’t been for Xue Jiu’s presence, she would have confronted Leng Xuan today, but then again, quietly considering it, what right did she have to be so involved in his affairs?
She was well aware that she and Leng Xuan were from different worlds. Even if she desired otherwise, what about her family?
This usually carefree girl suddenly found herself with a knot in her heart, a suffocating one.
Unconsciously, the darkness was dispelled by the rising sun in the east, and the night passed just like that.
Early in the morning, motivated by an appointnt with a lovely lady, Leng Xuan got up bright and early. After freshening up, he suddenly rembered sothing important. Although he had Li ngjie’s car keys, how was he going to explain to the two Misses his reason for going out?
Truly frustrating. Stepping out of his room, he found the upstairs doors still closed. With Ling Xuejiu and Li ngjie not having school today, they likely wouldn’t wake up too early. With no choice, Leng Xuan wrote a note stating he was going out to buy so things and would be back soon, which he stuck on the fridge before leaving the house.
As he neared the school’s main gate, Leng Xuan parked the car far away at the roadside and then continued on foot. From a distance, he saw a girl standing by the school gate, wearing a beige cinched waist skirt that flattered her slender and graceful figure. She looked up from ti to ti, as if waiting for soone.
