"You don't need to apologize to ," Chen Zihan shook her head and said, "I understand you. Don't worry, I won't ruin the relationship between you two. I just hope that you can spend this month of winter vacation with ."

"I wish I could be with you every single day," Xiao Han said hurriedly.

"That won't be necessary," Chen Zihan chuckled.

Seeing Chen Zihan's mood brighten, Xiao Han heaved a sigh of relief.

Xiao Han took Chen Zihan's hand and strolled slowly through the bustling streets, hand in hand, wandering and watching the colorful neon lights above them. Chen Zihan couldn't help but remark emotionally, "Linjiang City has changed so much. It's so different just after half a year; I really don't know what it will look like the next ti I co back. Will it still be the Linjiang City I know?"

"It will," Xiao Han quickly replied.

"Not necessarily," Chen Zihan shook her head, then said, "This world changes day by day, mont by mont. It's not just the world that's changing, but people's hearts are too. Who knows if, the next ti I co back, there will still be a place for in this city? And even less do I know if there will be a place for in your heart."

At her words, Xiao Han felt even more saddened. He held Chen Zihan's hand tightly and declared emphatically, "Zihan, I promise you. No matter the length of ti, no matter how many years pass; whether seas run dry and rocks crumble, no matter if the heavens perish and the earth shatters, you will always have a place. Unless the sky collapses and the earth splits; unless the universe returns to chaos and all is annihilated ... only then might I forget you."

Chen Zihan threw herself into Xiao Han's arms, for a girl's heart is always poetic.

Xiao Han's words lted the ice within Chen Zihan's heart. She hugged his neck tightly and initiated a kiss. Their passionate kiss was so intense, so intoxicating, it made them oblivious to their surroundings, causing passersby to stop and stare.

When Chen Zihan opened her eyes, her cheeks flushed imdiately upon seeing the crowd around them. The shy Chen Zihan couldn't bear such pressure. Although she embraced western education, it didn't an she had thick skin.

"Let's go," Chen Zihan hurriedly said.

"Okay," Xiao Han imdiately nodded.

Xiao Han grabbed Chen Zihan's hand and they both ran off quickly.

"That girl is really beautiful, that guy is so lucky."

"Isn't that the truth? It makes envious."

"The boy is quite handso too."

"Right, I actually think the boy is more handso than the girl."

The crowd watching had both n and won, the n's gaze naturally lingered on Chen Zihan; while the won's gaze stayed on Xiao Han. n desired to look at beautiful won and won at handso n, such is nature.

The two of them ran off quickly.

......

It was getting dark.

In the special care ward at Linjiang City People's Hospital, Jiang Xiaoliang had finally woken up after a day of deep sleep. The mbers of the Jiang family had been imnsely worried about him throughout the day. The heart of a parent is universally profound; even though Jiang Xiaoliang's mother had a cold heart, it did not change the fact that she shone as a mother. She was almost devastated with worry. She had spent almost the entire day shuttling around the hospital.

Her son had not awakened, and she frequently rushed to the doctor's office to inquire about her son's condition. This was a woman's maternal instinct, eager to protect her child.

Only when Jiang Xiaoliang woke up did she breathe a sigh of relief.

"Mom, where am I?" Jiang Xiaoliang asked as he opened his weak eyes.

"Xiaoliang, you're awake?" Mother Jiang was overwheld with excitent, running over and saying, "Son, you've finally woken up; you've scared to death. I thought sothing happened to you. Do you know how long you've been asleep? Do you know how worried I was about you?"

"Mom, I..." Jiang Xiaoliang rubbed his eyes and said, "I'm so hungry."

"Okay, okay, what do you want to eat? I'll have soone bring it right away," Madam Jiang hurriedly replied.

"I want so at soup," Jiang Xiaoliang quickly replied.

"Okay, I'll have the housekeeper bring it," Madam Jiang promptly nodded, as there was no helping it; this was her only son, the future heir to ida Group. How could she not take good care of her only son who would support her in her old age? Even if his character was flawed, even if he got into trouble, he was still her son.

"Okay!" Jiang Xiaoliang nodded.

Madam Jiang quickly called the housekeeper to prepare the food and bring it over. After hanging up, she hurriedly asked, "Xiaoliang, what happened to you?"

"Xiao Han is inhuman," Jiang Xiaoliang gritted his teeth and said, "Mom, you have to help take revenge. That bastard Xiao Han, he dared to break my arm twice. I can't swallow this grievance!"

"Rest assured, no one from the Jiang family can easily be bullied," Madam Jiang snorted coldly. "This insult, neither you nor I can swallow."

"And Chen Zihan." Empowered by having a protective mother, Jiang Xiaoliang acted recklessly. "I've set my sights on this woman."

"I've told you, you can have whoever you want," Madam Jiang said sternly. "For the people of the Jiang family, as long as victory is achievable, any ans can be employed, even against won. This ti, I agree with your thods, but I am disappointed with the outco."

Behind every prodigal son, there is a mother who indulges him.

Jiang Xiaoliang's journey towards a path of cri was greatly influenced by Madam Jiang. Had it not been for her indulgence, perhaps Jiang Xiaoliang wouldn't have ended up where he was today, nor taken the criminal path. Thus, Jiang Xiaoliang's current situation was entirely crafted by Madam Jiang.

"I know what I need to do now," Jiang Xiaoliang gritted his teeth, the grinding noise echoing.

This failure also brought imnse hatred for Xiao Han in Jiang Xiaoliang. If it hadn't been for Xiao Han, maybe he would have succeeded. Jiang Xiaoliang could still not forget the exquisite form of Chen Zihan. Even with the pain of a broken arm, he fantasized about dominating that exquisite body, gleefully savaging it. Unfortunately, he had failed this ti, and he blad all his failures on Xiao Han.

If not for Xiao Han, Chen Zihan would already be mine.

"Go ahead with confidence," Madam Jiang smiled, then added, "People from the Jiang family are always a strong backbone for you."

"Thank you, Mom," Jiang Xiaoliang nodded, then hurriedly added, "I need to deal with Xiao Han first."

"Tell , how do you plan on handling him?" Madam Jiang smiled, then prompted, "I'd like to hear your thoughts."

"I've decided to throw him in jail," Jiang Xiaoliang declared.

Madam Jiang paused for a mont, then said, "Son, you're still too tender-hearted."

"Then..." Jiang Xiaoliang looked at his mother, confused, and asked, "What should I do?"

"I've already thought of a strategy for you," Madam Jiang said with a slight smile.

"What strategy?" Jiang Xiaoliang asked, puzzled.

"Kill him," Madam Jiang said with a cold laugh.

"Ah?!" Jiang Xiaoliang was dumbfounded.

"As the saying goes, 'A compassionate general cannot command an army,'" Madam Jiang smiled slightly, continuing, "Xiaoliang, you are the future successor of the ida Group, so you must understand what is ant by ruthless determination. With soone as dangerous as Xiao Han, either win him over or eliminate him."

"Isn't this... too... illegal?" Jiang Xiaoliang asked hesitantly.

"The law, my son, is only illegal when you are caught; if you aren't caught, then it's just a thod," Madam Jiang smiled slightly, continuing, "Besides, we don't need to get our hands dirty. There will always be scapegoats."

"I understand," Jiang Xiaoliang nodded quickly.

Though he said he understood, Jiang Xiaoliang was sowhat confused. He hadn't had much experience with these kinds of dealings. Being relatively young and just having started his first year of university, maybe with ti or once he imrsed himself in work, he would comprehend it all. Madam Jiang's words were opening up a new world for Jiang Xiaoliang.

However, Jiang Xiaoliang was extrely grateful to his mother for seeking revenge for him. At least in his view, Xiao Han was dood this ti.

"Xiaoliang, get so rest," Madam Jiang told her son.

"Yes!" Jiang Xiaoliang nodded.

Before long, a maid from the Jiang household appeared at the doorway of the hospital room, carrying a thermos. The soup that Jiang Xiaoliang was about to drink was no ordinary broth; it contained many precious herbs beneficial for bone recovery. Naturally, these ingredients were very expensive, but for her son, Madam Jiang was not stingy. So, all possible herbs had been included.

"This soup is tough to swallow," Jiang Xiaoliang said awkwardly.

"Bitter dicine is good for the illness," Madam Jiang laughed, then explained, "This soup has no oil or flavorings added, only so valuable traditional dicines. Drink it quickly for the benefit of your arm. Understand?"

"Okay then," Jiang Xiaoliang also appreciated his mother's deep concern. How could he disappoint his mother's kindness? Jiang Xiaoliang could only pinch his nose and drink the soup.

Regarding dealing with Xiao Han, Jiang Xiaoliang knew that his mother's thods were far superior to his own. Therefore, he naturally would not intervene. Since his mother had already taken action, all he needed to do was watch the developnts. Once Xiao Han was dead, no one would dare compete with him for Chen Zihan. All he had to do was lift a finger, and Chen Zihan would kneel before him, easily won over.
