"Good brother," Xiao Han patted Li Dapang's shoulder.
Having decided to settle the score personally, it was essential not to be late. If he delayed, the other party would surely co knocking. This ti, after having broken Jiang Xiaoliang's arm, he absolutely couldn't let his mother find out. The last ti it happened, his mother had suffered and struggled greatly. Now that he had grown up, it was ti to learn to bear such things alone.
That very afternoon, Li Dapang imdiately gathered a few capable brothers. These were people that Li Dapang had been putting together as a team, who had already accompanied him to the provincial city before. Xiao Han had t them, so this ti their eting was not unfamiliar.
"Big Brother," everyone greeted Li Dapang and Xiao Han as they arrived.
"Hmm!" Li Dapang nodded and said, "Brothers, we've been training for this mont, and today, it's finally ti for us to take the stage."
"Big Brother, what's going on?" the crowd asked curiously.
"Hehe, Xiao Han needs our help," Li Dapang said with a grin.
The crowd turned their gaze toward Xiao Han.
"The people we're up against this ti aren't simple," Xiao Han glanced at them and continued, "The other side has money, power, influence, and connections. If you're afraid, now's the ti to step forward."
No one moved.
"Good, then I'll tell you, our target is ida Group," Xiao Han smiled and added, "That is, the Jiang Family of Linjiang City."
Sss...
They were all shocked. Clearly, the ida Group didn't ring a bell for them. But when it ca to the Jiang Family, they had no choice but to be aware. However, Jiang Xiaoneng seed uninterested in these matters. Jiang Xiaoneng mainly dominated the smuggling industry and also had so drug dealings overseas. His business was substantial, so he didn't feel the need to expand in Linjiang City. Liu Si's strength was in Linjiang City, while Jiang Xiaoneng's was overseas. The two did not clash.
Though Jiang Xiao seed to have little power, if he really wanted to deal with them, bringing in just a few n could wipe them out completely. At this thought, everyone started to waver.
"Big Brother, this... this isn't too good, right?" a man said awkwardly.
"What's not good about it?" Li Dapang frowned.
"The second son of the Jiang family is involved with the mafia overseas," the man hesitated before continuing, "If we offend the Jiang Family to death, they will definitely co after us. We are just ordinary gangsters, how can we fight against the mafia with real guns and bullets?"
"Useless thing," Li Dapang glared at the man, then announced, "No matter how capable Jiang Xiaoneng is, that's only overseas. Here, Elder Liu Si is in charge. Jiang Xiaoneng counts for nothing."
"Er..." The man was taken aback.
"Alright, you don't have to go," Xiao Han pointed at the man and said, "Go ho."
The man quickly looked at Li Dapang, who replied irritably, "If you're told to go ho, then go. What are you standing there dazed for?"
"Yes, Big Brother!" The man could only nod reluctantly.
Li Dapang looked completely innocent; since Xiao Han specifically told him to get lost, he certainly couldn't stay. Xiao Han was the boss of Hann, while he was just a manager. In reality, Xiao Han had the true authority.
Xiao Han's lips curled up in a cold smile, "Hann has no need for anyone who fears death."
"Hmm." Everyone nodded.
Xiao Han counted them off; there were eight people in total. Li Dapang had summoned all those who were able to fight; the rest lacked the necessary strength. Xiao Han glanced at them and said, "Everyone get ready, we're leaving right away."
The fat man had borrowed the Golden Van from Hann Restaurant, normally used for deliveries. Ten people cramd into the nine-seater van. Once everyone was aboard, Li Dapang imdiately drove off.
"By the way, where are we going now?" Li Dapang asked.
"At this ti, where else but the hospital," Xiao Han said with a slight smile.
"Alrighty," Li Dapang imdiately nodded.
Jiang Xiaoliang had broken his arm, and at this ti, he'd definitely be in the hospital for surgery, requiring the insertion of a tal plate and cutting into flesh. At this point, the mbers of the Jiang family must be frantic.
Linjiang City People's Hospital.
The surgery room door was firmly shut, a red light glowing above it. And in the corridor outside the surgery room, it was crowded with people. mbers of the Jiang family, as well as nurous executives from the Jiang Group, were present. Most notably, there was a considerable number from the managent team of the Sheraton Hotel. The incident with Jiang Xiaoliang had occurred at the Sheraton, so it was expected the executives would co to apologize.
"Who the hell did it?" Jiang Xiaoliang's mother ground her teeth, seething with rage.
"Madam Jiang, we are investigating," a hotel managent staff mber said hastily.
"Investigating, always investigating. Just how long has it been," Madam Jiang cursed angrily.
"Yes, yes!" the manager of the hotel was hurriedly wiping the sweat from his forehead, at the mont, facing trendous pressure. If he couldn't expose the real culprit soon, he feared he wouldn't be able to get out of this unscathed.
Fortunately, at this mont, a call ca from the security departnt. After the person in charge of the hotel heard the call, he quickly said, "Madam Jiang, the security departnt just called. They said they have found the perpetrator, and they are asking if you want to report it to the police."
"Who is the perpetrator?" Madam Jiang asked eagerly upon hearing this.
"It's... it's Xiao Han," the person in charge hurriedly said.
Upon hearing this, Madam Jiang asked in astonishnt, "Xiao Han? Is... is it Jiang Xiaoliang's classmate?"
"Yes!" the person in charge hurriedly nodded and said, "Here's what happened..."
The person in charge quickly described the situation at that ti. Upon hearing this, Madam Jiang clenched her teeth and said, "This little bastard. Last ti, Li Hengzhong spared your life, this ti, I definitely won't let you off easily. You actually broke my son's arm again."
Madam Jiang's face darkened. She had never imagined that her son would suffer the pain of a broken arm for a second ti, and the culprit would still be Xiao Han. This ti, she wouldn't let him off under any circumstances. With the Jiang Family's wealth and power, dealing with a poor kid like Xiao Han would be all too easy. Thus, Madam Jiang imdiately said, "Old Liu, go find so capable n right away. Preferably the kind who are river pirates with blood on their hands."
"Yes, Madam!" Uncle Liu, the butler of the Jiang family, nodded quickly and turned to leave.
The intent of Madam Jiang was clear; she wanted Xiao Han butchered. With the capability of the mbers of the Jiang family, getting a river pirate to dispose of Xiao Han would be an easy task. Madam Jiang squinted her eyes, as though holding a knife horizontally in her heart.
"Madam, Xiao Han and Elder Liu Si seem to have a good relationship," a man spoke up.
"So what?" Madam Jiang said through clenched teeth, then added, "Even if Xiao Han has a good relationship with Elder Liu Si, it won't stop from wanting to kill him."
"Should we consider Elder Liu Si's feelings?" the man asked.
"No need!" Madam Jiang shook her head.
"Yes!" the man nodded.
The surgery was still underway. Last ti, Jiang Xiaoliang broke his left arm, and this ti it was still the left one. The previous break had shattered again. One can imagine the difficulty of the surgery, a relatively simple procedure had unexpectedly taken over two hours.
After the surgery finished, many mbers of the Jiang family rushed over.
"Director Liu, how is the situation?" Madam Jiang asked urgently.
"The situation is okay," Director Liu began, glancing at Madam Jiang and then saying, "This arm can be saved. All the shattered bones have been removed, and a steel plate has been installed inside the arm. It might have to be fixed with plaster for the next few months."
"That's good, that's a relief," Madam Jiang said, her heart imdiately eased upon hearing this. Before the surgery, Director Liu had presented the worst-case outco, hoping the family could accept it. The worst-case scenario was nothing other than the potential loss of the arm, possibly facing amputation. However, the surgery was successful, which brought so relief to the Jiang family. Madam Jiang repeatedly expressed her gratitude, "Director Liu, thank you so much."
Before the surgery, Uncle Liu, the butler of the Jiang family, had already given Director Liu a hefty red packet.
Madam Jiang knew in her heart that this red packet had likely played a significant role. Without it, today's surgery may not have been so readily successful.
Soon, Jiang Xiaoliang was wheeled out of the operating room. As the effects of the anesthesia were still present, Jiang Xiaoliang remained unconscious, and seeing her son suffer so much pained Madam Jiang's heart. After all, he was a part of her own flesh, how could she not feel heartache for her son?
"Xiaoliang," Madam Jiang called softly.
"The anesthetic hasn't worn off yet," Director Liu, the attending physician, quickly said, "Better wait."
"Mm," Madam Jiang nodded.
Director Liu smiled slightly and said, "Madam, in the future let the kid be careful not to do any heavy lifting. Having the bone in the arm break twice, if there's a next ti, it might indeed result in amputation."
"Don't worry, I understand," Madam Jiang nodded. She would never bear to let her own son do any heavy work; she would ache even at the thought of him doing a bit of labor.
"That's good, I'll leave now," Director Liu said with a smile, "Go ahead and take him to the ward."
"Yes, Director Liu!" the nurses behind responded.
