Xiao Han grew embarrassed, seemingly a bit shy. Everyone in the dormitory stared at Xiao Han, their faces exposing peculiar smiles. At that mont, Zhang Dagou laughed and said, “Xiao Han, you’re quite the dark horse. I didn’t expect you’d win over a beauty like Lan Yudie.”

Throwing a party was just Xiao Han’s way of shutting their mouths. But as soon as the guys in the dorm heard, they burst into laughter.

The guys excitedly made their way outside. Everyone in the dorm knew Xiao Han was loaded; as the top scorer in the college entrance exam, he had won a few hundred thousand in prize money. They were definitely going to pick a nice restaurant for the feast. If they didn’t swindle Xiao Han today, then when would they ever?

Lan Yudie returned ho with a hint of anger, appearing extrely frustrated and embarrassed.
In her apartnt, she lay on the bed, utterly irritated. She hadn’t expected things to turn out like this. Initially, she had been excited, thinking Xiao Han was about to confess his feelings for her, but to her surprise, the confession ca from soone else. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have revealed her true feelings to him in front of everyone. But that guy just took her sincerity for granted and flat-out rejected her.
Lan Yudie sat at the head of her bed, leaning against it, staring blankly at the white ceiling above, void of any expression.
Especially after being rejected by Xiao Han, Lan Yudie felt a sense of despair, a despair towards a man that was akin to despair towards life itself.

After the incident, there was obviously so distance and tension between Lan Yudie and Xiao Han. Normally, during classes, Lan Yudie’s gaze would occasionally drift towards Xiao Han, but these past couple of days, she was deeply dispirited and didn’t glance at him once. Moreover, she wouldn’t even look his way when leaving class.
Xiao Han understood he had indeed hurt Lan Yudie’s heart last ti.

“No!” Xiao Han shook his head and replied, “Just thinking about so issues.”
“What issues?” Zhang Feng asked curiously.
“Just so personal stuff,” Xiao Han replied vaguely.
Zhang Feng didn’t press on. After all, everyone has so secrets buried deep in their hearts. That was a given.
Heading back to the dorm.

Suddenly, a vibrating noise ca from the phone. In class, the phone had to be on silent or vibrate. After class, Xiao Han hadn’t had ti to change it. He hurriedly answered the call. It was Yang Lu calling.
“Xiao Han, co to the shop quickly,” Yang Lu urged.
“What happened?” Xiao Han asked quickly.
“People from the Bureau of Industry and Comrce and the Tax Bureau are here,” Yang Lu said in a hurry, “Looks like there’s so trouble. Co here quickly.”
Upon hearing this, Xiao Han imdiately ran out.
It would take about ten minutes from the dorm to the school gate and probably another fifteen minutes from the school gate to University Town. If he ran all the way, not only would it waste ti, but he would also be covered in sweat. So, Xiao Han decided to drive over.
His car was parked in the school’s faculty parking lot. It was only a five-minute walk away. If he ran, it would probably take just two minutes. After arriving at the parking lot, Xiao Han looked around to make sure no one was there, then he imdiately slipped into the driver’s seat. Once inside the car, he didn’t have to worry about being seen.
